I bought this tent on Tuesday, used it right away on the top of a mountain. I don't really mind the color, even though it will show dirt faster than other tents. I attached it on the bottom of my 30L backpack and the size and weight are perfect. There is obviously something lighter and smaller out there, but for the price it's really good. And I usually take 2 trekking poles with me because I find them very convenient, so no added weight for me. I saw some comments on Instagram saying that "you should consider the weight of the trekking poles because it can't be used without them". If you don't usually take them with you, just don't buy this tent. They are supposed to be an item you use and not something you only bring with you to mount your tent
Maybe if it gets dirty and stained enough, it'll blend in and become stealthier?! 🤣 Despite the price and weight, a white tent wouldn't be my first choice.
right!!! Its not going to be any dirtier than any other colors Im camping there is dirt everywhere after it gets really dirty it would just be my badge of honor

Another great review. It looks like a cracking tent. If it were available in olive green, coyote brown, or even some sort of camo (not snow), I would definitely buy it.
There is actually a guy that dyed his naturehike tent. I bet since they did not use dye at all with this tents, you could dye the outer fly relatively easy. Worth a shot since Decathlon also sells the cover seperately.
@@zeph5800dylon or any other plastic and synthetic clothing dye would work, since most tents seem to be using polyester and nylon i think they'd take dye very well. The Irish and British weather is going to have this tent looking very dirty in no time. Is love to see a green or khaki version. Love the video and your honest feedback
Ace video Andy...I'm even more swayed to buying it now. Yes the colour's contentious but it's also a reason Forclaz can keep the costs down. I think the best thing to do is use it lots and it'll soon start to look less white and begin to blend in!
Personally, I’d use it in warm, dry, still, summer conditions. That’s where it would excel. There aren’t many sub-1kg tents out there under £200. Usually just tarps and bivvi’s.
A nice review on a nice bit of kit, thanks. Pegs, hmm? The most of the people who buy a tent like this probably have several sets of pegs at home already, and so maybe a moot argument. However, some of the places I go have very gravelly, stoney ground and the supplied pegs are excellent at going into the ground and holding fast.

White not good for wild camping in the UK, they need a green or brown version, if the do that, will sell, sometimes in summer I just use a tarp and a bugnet, lightweight and not claustrophobic like a small tent.
I think the criticisms you make are valid especially the colour. Even on Dartmoor the DNPA state "Small and lightweight tents which easily blend into the landscape". Also in the UK with the amount of wind and rain that 2000mm HH is a slight concern, I'd like something a bit more overall sturdy for the sideways rain on Dartmoor. That being said, if you're doing something like the coast path and stopping at camp sites along the way just to sleep for the night, I think it's a great option. Just not for me.
It looks like a brilliant tent, but I do wish it didn't have that flat side, not only for stability sake, but also it means less storage space for gear. Another excellent video btw.
Thank you for the movie. Can you tell me what construction is better Forclaz or Lanahan 2 pro? I am thinking of buying Foclaz for 2 persons or Lanahan 2 Pro. I know that your movie is about Forclaz for one person. I will use a tent only in summer but I'm really high guy 198cm.

Tell that to Durston X-Mid owners 😂
Looks a bit like a crime scene😑
Absolutely ridiculous colour for a tent. Doesn't surprise me coming from a company that only makes hiking pants in one leg length. Not only will it get mega dirty it will stick out like a sore thumb!
But I should say thanks for the video it does look like a good tent if it were in a more traditional colour.
