Hey Daylon, since you're using PixInsight for processing anyway, why did you choose DSS for stacking/calibration?

Still getting my head around it. DSS worked fine for this image. However, the mosaic I did in the mosaic video, I stacked it in Pixinsight.

Great video! I have a problem shooting with my Canon Rebel T7i... I get some weird red-purpleish glow in the bottom-left corner. Could this be amp-glow?

Could be vingetting too. Are you taking darks?

Do you all NOT stack in Pixinsight?

    • @AstroEscape

I've started to do it. It's a lot to learn and very image/data dependent. Since I started playing with it, I've had a few images come out better in PI and a few where the initial stack was better in DSS. Admittedly, some of that might have been choices I made in both programs that made the other turn out better. But, there's nothing wrong with pulling out the right tool from the tool kit when it's warranted!

@@AstroEscape I’ve been trying to apply your soul nebula workflow to my Pac-Man nebula workflow and I keep getting this pinkish hue to my image and I cannot seem to figure out why it’s happening. It’s driving me crazy. My heart nebula worked great

@@AstroHunter5280 That nebula is HA heavy, it's going to do that if you are using one shot color cameras. If you want it to be less pink, play with the channels when doing your curves stretch.
After stacking, get the crop, initial stretch, background calibration and noise reduction out of the way. It'll be pink, but you can tweak it later with messing with the channels. Make sure you mask out the background using a range mask to ensure it all doesn't end up pink.
