Railgun was also in a good place. Its downside being that it couldn't do crap against crowds. If they see this weapon as a fan favorite, it's not impossible that it will get nerfed.
Apart from not needing ammo, there is no comparison to the arc thrower. The arc thrower is generally used for a primary because you can use it most of the time. It does take skill to use it well, including aiming. If your aim is off you won’t arc through as many enemies and will get overrun. This weapon is far more like a support weapon than can be used at times instead of an EAT, Spear or recoilless rifle.

i am so confuded by your wordage, "apart from not needing ammo" neither use ammo, thus "there is no comparison" ? comparison to what? not needing ammo? they're both situational and excel at each situation, pls elaborate.
I 100% agree about not all bug planets having the same distribution of bug types. Sometimes I'll have a mission with 0 bile spewers, but then the next one will have 100. Same with chargers but maybe to a lesser extent.
Just played 2 missions back to back and one I had 12 titans chasing me at all times as soon I I killed one another would spawn. But the other had none at all
@@Crispierbug I like referring to them as different broods. Good label. You're wasted in mobile infantry! They should be putting you in games and theory.
25:45 In the discussion of arc thrower vs the quasar cannon, id say they are both great, with the fact that they have unlimited ammo and can tackle any enemy. Id side with the arc thrower still, only because you can do great with a team of 4 arc throwers vs 4 cannons, since the arcs Versatility will translate better than having 4 guys who are REALLY good at taking out the tough enemies. Solo id say cannon, with a 4 man, id want more versatility, but 2 cannons and 2 throwers would be amazing. I'd say take whatever your team comp is missing
1 Arc Thrower + 2 Quasars and a weapon of choice is a good ratio. A single Arc thrower is enough to deal with Light Armored units and mobs. In later difficulties the 10 second cooldown can add up so you'll need alot of anti-armor. You can supplement the comp with a flame thrower for ADS or grenade launcher for bug holes but it just depends on the planet or mission. Can't go wrong with a 2:2 or 1:3 ratio for Arc+Quasar either.
The comparison doesn't even make sense, arc thrower can deal with swarms and medium enemies easily, the quasar cannon can't, the cannon can deal with big enemies, the arc thrower can but still not as efficiently
@@mustysmells817 see, I was thinking the opposite, a 2:2 or 3:1 arc to quasar, since the arc can deal with the small stuff, and while still assisting the quasar if it needs to

Nice video. Not only are you good at the game and give a genuine and true test of the new weapon but you also seem to enjoy playing it. Seems like so many content creators are just riding the wave of hype and making pointless vids on it. Props to you.
When I initially played around with this gun, my first thought was "Wow, why would I bother taking the EAT or Recoilless now?" But the devs continue to be clever and I realized why they were OK putting this gun in the game despite the fact it seems like such an obvious upgrade. The charge up and cool down, if mismanaged, can be BRUTAL in ways the EAT or Recoilless simply are not. Sure, it doesn't require ammo, but if you're in the thick of chaos and you simply don't have the breathing room to sit, charge up, and maintain a well-placed headshot... well, that's where the EAT and Recoilless out-class the Quasar. Not that the Quasar can't be used on short notice, but doing so puts you at risk in ways the other anti-tank weapons don't. Having the ability to simply sling out an anti-tank and pop it off on demand is REALLY powerful, and that's an ability the Quasar doesn't have. That said, it absolutely SHINES in scenarios where you DO have the breathing room to make those shots, like when taking down Shrieker nests at a distance or Chargers/Bile Titans that are chasing teammates.
i feel like vs bugs they're equally viable with pros and cons, vs bots though, shield all the way. I think people generally prefer fighting bugs because there's a broader range of viable playstyles, but this new cannon absolutely rocks vs both bugs and bots
@@IWASTEDMYTIMEif the laser dog kills the bugs before they get to you they can’t make you flinch. Shield for bots and guard dog for bugs is the way to go or maybe the jump pack

@@PAS2010D I dont know about the recoilless as i dont use it. However the eat does have more damage than the quasar. Takes 3 quasar shots to destroy a shrieker nest and only 2 eats. The eat can also one shot chargers and titans alike. EDIT: The quasar can two *or* three shot shrieker nests
I think it needs to take up a back pack slot. Dont nerf damage or anything else, just make it so without a Cooling Pack it takes longer to cool down and use again. Like, make it so it can still be used without the pack, but using it is preferable. That way EAT could still viable.
I sincerely hope they don't nerf it, and instead bring everything else up to compete with it (like making the lock-on launcher 1-shot a titan no matter what, for starters)
I wouldnt mind if they "nerfed" the cool down, but made it so if you use a back pack that could come with it you get the regular cool down. I feel like it is too strong, but using up a back pack slot would make it worh it.
It 2-shots Shrieker Nests (that's per "tree") if fired at the branches. It also will destroy bug nests, so you don't have to waste a grenade. Awesome video! Love your content! I'd love to see how you deal with level 9 Eradicate missions. 🤔I always lose before I get even halfway done going Solo...
This gun is way worse into bots than you might expect. If you take any shots whilst charging you will flinch and send the shot off into the distance (or a nearby wall and you die). Much less reliable than it is into bugs. This problem exists with other guns sure but the window to get shot with this thing is so much longer.
Then, wear a shield. Just played Helldive difficulty with shield and had absolutely nothing affect me when using the Quasar. 1 shot tanks, Hulks, dropships, base turret cannon. It is arguably the best support weapon right now
Agreed, this is what I found as well. With an EAT you can instantly fire at that hulk or tank, with this you get flinched so easily by enemy fire. Autocannon still the best against bots though.
I think its still good to bring to bots. The cannon can one shot Dropships, and I've seen 1-2 shots on a Hulk. Havent used it on a Tank yet, though. But Im sure its an instant kill if you hit the weak spot.
I'm thinking with the addition of this beast, they need to go back and re-think the railgun nerf. The way I see it, why would I ever take a railgun in its current state when this thing exists.
"This shouldn't be x because x" isn't a good argument because it leads too one of two different scenarios. Scenario 1. Item that caused discrepancy gets adjusted to be "in-line" with others. Scenario 2. The original question gets put into a loop because now both items are exceptions, all others are now held to their regard and everything becomes "Why would I give up item x for x".
Just finished a 7 data upload. It seems like they’ve increased the spawns of chargers, which was fine because the quasar is awesome…however, if they move back toward more armored units, they’ll once again be in a position where everyone is running anti armor support to counter charger spam, homogenizing the meta.
this cannon was hype ever since i saw a gif of someone leaking it somehow. Such a cool concept! I was struggling to choose my support weapon lately as I've been doing diff7, the juggling of ammo + not always easy to deal with armored enemies and not wanting to go full meta with the arc (risky). This will definitely get used often!
im surprise with all the comparasison to raigun/arc thrower where its place is more at the recoiless EAT it's the mid point between 1 use and rechargeable while behind able to still carry a backpack it's biggest con: charge time as you can't do a quick swap dive back to kill a heavy unit getting too close
Yeah this weapon is pretty insane. The only downside is the chargeup and the fact that you can't time the release, both can be played around with skill.
@@h4xorzistit’s balanced in that you can’t panic fire as quickly as the EAT and letting go of the trigger basically restarts the firing animation. When you’re getting swarmed by hunters/stalkers or shot at by rocket devastators this will be more apparent. I will still run EAT’s on bug missions where there is no stratagem cooldown increase.
@@IWASTEDMYTIME Once. Otherwise you have to ⬆⬆⬅⬆➡ and wait about 10s. For the quasar you only need an opening whenever it presents itself. Dude, you should make a RUclips Short of out that part in the flame build video where the charger goes through the rock and hits you. RUclips shorts can help get your channel out there and that clip is 10/10
I hate this game's balance team. Quasar cannon is objectively so mind numbingly busted its insane it even went past QA. Compare it to an already S tier weapon, the recoiless : it doesnt take backpack slot, doesnt need to be reloaded, has infinite effing ammo, and cools down in the same time it would take to reload the recoiless, With the ONLY downside being taking 2 seconds to fire. What. The. Fk.
Your high .... It's down sides are massive... recoilless can fire faster and eat as well... You can take out chargers alot faster... It has charge time and downtime for next shot. It's actually pretty balanced for it's uses. Your probably a railgun main 😏 don't understand balance at all.... This is probably the most balanced support weapon released yet.
@@dipilisedroy7481 "they" didnt do any such thing, it was one guy on reddit, not the balance team in general. also, he didn't insult anyone for "liking and using" the railgun - he insulted people for whining about a nerf to the OP meta thing. that said, Railgun needs love, I love railguns and its just not great anymore.
the quasar is such a joy to play with, its definitely number 1 or 2 on support weapons, only issue is the charge up to fire but its not a massive issue, easily an S tier weapon
So, to two shot a bile titan you have to hit it in the head ( not mouth, head DOES NOT have any additional weakpoints ) while it is not in an animation, as it seems to give the thing some sort of damage reduction
Quasar is effectively an energy recoiless rifle and I'm here for it. Its recharge is basically the same as you have to self reload the recoiless, but with none of the downtime basically.
@HaloDude557 If you're doing the team reload it pumps out way more damage in a short time span. Not a lot of people like doing that though for whatever reason
@@Sharsis8because it’s extremely niche, requires tons of ammo and communication, and is just shitty in general. Why is the guy doing the reload the one wearing the pack? It makes no sense for no reason.
@giygas9305 EAT-17 is still a 2 for 1 call down, the call down itself can be used as a weapon itself when it's needed, and you can do what my friends and I call "the homeless build" where you just pickup and use whatever is on the floor when not using the EAT-17. The team reload mechanic isn't shitty. It just requires planning. It's quite fun and effective once you have a dedicated plan in place with a buddy. I do agree that the weapon user should have the backpack on and the person just assists though
21:45 yes, and everytime an bulk is there this means that there are devestators so the only way to kill the patroll without them calling ships and then spawing 20 bulks is too either not shoot at them or spam stun grenade and ⬆➡⬇⬇⬇ them then kill the bulk with the quasar
I'm so tired of hearing people talk about nerfs in a PVE game. Have the devs even nerfed anything other than that one patch for the railgun, shield and breaker? Seems like they only nerfed those items because people were only using them and nothing else while others were getting kicked for not using them
@Feed-Your-Head that one weapon is probably one of the best strategems, it also beats the recoiless, the spear, railgun, flamethrower varies depending on what its use is, laser cannon
@@GladdyBladdy Against bots, the 3s charge-up often leads to flinching and missing. Both EAT and RR have way better economy of movement. Not convinced EAT is obsolete just yet.
How do you have so little spawns? im playing lvl 6-7s and having a SHIT TON of spawns from every bug, up to 6 bile titans in a lvl 6 mission the other day, literally unplayable
This one seems fun but i been using arc thrower and loving it, the wave clear is great and i been taking out chargers 5-7 shots to the head and if u kno how to shoot it fast, u can kill it b4 it even reaches you. Also killed titans 3-4 shots if all shots go to the head, pretty insane. Plz dnt nerf it lol.
Why would it dethrone the arc thrower? Or why would you even compare them? One is basically a rocket launcher which is designed for armored enemies and big targets while the arc thrower is way more useful agaisnt medium and small enemies, it can still deal with big enemies but its clearly not the best. Makes no sense to make a comparison.
Definitely recommend bringing the shield backpack with this against bots to soak up the little shots as you charge it. And remember to use it often, the recharge is relatively quick after each shot so don't be afraid to pop some medium enemies if no heavies are available. And practice taking out dropships with it, if you start charging it early before it gets into position you can kill it and everything in it before the drop happens.
Issue with the arc thrower is avoiding teammates who are drawn to it like flies to an insect zapper. I’ll be shooting at a swarm with everyone behind me and someone will sprint ahead of me a half second before I let off a shot. There is no other weapon i’ve used that people so blatantly disregard the risk of killing them.
And those 20 shots accomplish virtually nothing. Quasar Cannon is a better weapon in nearly every situation, unless you're looking at some of the medium armored enemies, but primaries can fill that niche. Railgun is obsolete in terms of balance. At this point, it's just something to bring along if you enjoy using it.
The sneak play against bugs: they can see you, hear you, and smell you. So there’s a radius to where they can smell you and I believe your sent is left behind for a short period.
The Dev said that bugs have a sense of smell. They can sniff you out. Notice how at the end, they were heading towards where you WERE until they finally got close enough to spot you.
Bro hop off it. Railgun was OP. Took 1 sec to charge and reload and could 1-2 shot everything except bile titans and tanks, which instead took 4-5 shots. This weapon takes about 2.5 seconds to fire once, and about 10 to cool down, and is meant for heavies specifically. So no, this is not more powerful than pre-nerf railgun
@@potter196 let's say you are being attacked by 4 heavy devestators. Quasar will take over 45 sec to kill them all, and if you hit it wrong it will not one shot. Railgun can take all of them out in 1/4 that time if you just shoot the pack with a full charge shot. Hulks also only get one shot if hit in the eye, meaning you will likely need a stun to do so, and the AMR can do the same thing. Really the main thing it can do is take out drop ships. Quasar is good if 2 people have it as they can make up for the cooldown, but it is too slow if you are alone
@Darksiege357 actually used it vs the bots for the 1st time last night, and except for drop ships, it was underwhelming. Bugs it works much much better. I actually prefer the rail vs bots
A tip for chargers with this weapon is if u run towards them on the side they would need to stop and turn around. You can charge the gun up when they are turning so u have a headshot when they fully turned around.
This is going to get nerfed by a lot. Either they'll decrease the damage or increase the charge time, or both. In the meantime, though, it's a field day for Democracy! Go get those heavies!
My loadout initially with QC has been similar. Couple changes. I'm getting away from the shield, because I don't think its quite pulling its weight on bugs. Instead, I'm using a combination of Slugger/Rover to cover mediums/chaff, keeping the 500kg and airstrike, and using stun grenades, because the syun grenades synergize well with QC and 500kg against both bile titans and chargers to hold them still while you get your shot. Airstrike also pairs well with stun grenades because you can freeze whole packs inside it, finish chargers etc. and airstrike/500kg are both solid for closing holes and taking out objectives, which along with QC now being able to close holes makes the loss of grenades much more manageable. QC is solid. I don't think its a complete replacement for EATs in a team though. They cover eachothers weaknesses.
When they keep adding shit like this it makes the railgun nerf seem counter intuitive. The arc thrower takes like 7 seconds to kill a charger and the railgun takes about 20 seconds to do the same thing. They need to make it so a fully charged shot is reached quicker and also they need to revert some of the penetration falloff for not having a 100% charged shot bc that thing is absolutely trash now
The railgun is way better than you're making it out to be. The problem it has is it feels bad to miss your shots because it doesn't have infinite ammo while the arc thrower does. And of course the community will ignore the downsides of anything that can one-shot a charger because killing one in one shot feels very impressive and valuable.
You can peel the armor off the charger armor even Bile Titans. It is a little hard as the arc goes for center mass, so peeling the leg armor is difficult. You can break open the charger body armor after 8-10 hits. May as well just aim for headshots. The Bile titan body armor is a little more inconsistent.
So they nerf fhe railgun witch took 2 shots to break armor and a few shotgun shots to the broken armor and add a one shot rechargeable cannon???? Stupid
no it doesn’t. the railgun was too good for what it was, quasar is literally a highly concentrated laser blast, makes sense for it to be that powerful. plus it still has drawbacks it’s not a multi tool like the railgun used to be
Seriously, whats the point of the railgun at this point? Does this thing even charger longer than a railgun to 90%? Dont think so. It might be a little more accurate for automaton weakspots using less charged shots, but thats about it I guess...
Unpopular opinion: I don't think you should be able to completely benefit from the speed boost of wearing light armour whilst lugging that thing around.
@@Unahim No. That maybe there should be a weight thing with a cap so you can be slowed down by weight to a max. Or heavy/medium/light become keywords on gear and say even if you have light armour equipped if you have a heavy item you have a speed/stamina debuff. There are multiple ways you could do it with heavy armour becoming redundant. Servo assisted could be changed to allow you to carry heavy items without penalty and that keyword being limited only to medium armour.
As far as this wep is concerned (which isn’t firing a physical payload), you’re also basing your suggestion on the assumption that it is actually heavy. Just because something is large does not mean it’s inherently heavy. Given that this is a futuristic game, it’s certainly not out of the question for it to be quite light.
So this is effectively an endless ammo recoilless/EAT with NO backpack? Probably going to be the new meta, I mean, most of the player base doesn't use co-op weapons and actually co-ops.
Quasar literally fills the one slot I felt was missing in my loadout for killing Biles. With this I feel so much more confident on higher difficulties.
Sidegrade to the EAT, faster shots per minute, requires warmup to fire. It's a pretty good bug weapon choice. VS Bots it feels weaker than the AMR or autocannon, but still viable. The charging to fire really makes the downside known vs bots when heavy devastators start shredding you and flinching your aim. You trade your anti biped capability for increased anti turret and tank capability along with infinite factory destruction.
2:26 A feeling that you get when you're playing "pouncer planets" that you get more pouncers and hunters than "non pouncer" planets????? Yeah.....I'd say that's a pretty accurate feeling.
Man i miss the prenerf railgun that thing felt so good to use But this looks like fun aswell. I just cant keep the horde in check well enough to make it work
holy as soon as i saw this video, i immediately open the game and play for awhile. This weapon is really great. It can 1 shot the charger like crazy. Pretty much solo the game
The Quasar Cannon really IS just a Recoilless Rifle with infinite ammo and auto reload, for which I will gladly deal with the charge up and lack of team reload
I don’t think they’d ever nerf this. It 2 shots bile titans, it 1 shots chargers, it 1 shots spore spewers, it 2 shots shrieker nests. Basically it’s an expendable anti-tank with a charge up and recharge mechanic so that’s enough to balance it. Also I believe only the brood commander can call a bile titan from a bug breach.
Personally I still prefer the EATs but ive only used the quasar a handful of times so maybe im still getting used to it. They both have their strengths and weaknesses over each other, the main strength of the cannon over the EATs is that it has infinite ammo, and like the anti tanks it can also 1 shot chargers, 2 shot titans, and 2 shot a shrieker nest. (I believe the anti tanks take 3 shots for nests) also ive been using the quasar for EVERYTHING where as for the EATs I tend to try to save them for chargers specifically, hive guard hunkering down? Blow ot up with the quasar. Brood commander? Blow the tanky bitch up. So it's nice not having to worry about conserving shots. However, most of the time when you're bringing a rocket launcher to bugs you're bringing them with chargers in mind, and this is where I believe the EAT is still a better weapon. In my experience I rarely encounter chargers from range, and the LAST thing I want to do is stand my ground against a charger AS it's charging me while having to charge up a weapon for 5 - 6 seconds, regardless of if the thing 1 shots chargers or not. It is also worth noting that if the charger gets too close to you and the quasar goes off you WILL kill yourself with it, even with the shield pack. The quasar also seems less consistent in my experience as ive hit shots that I could've sworn would kill a charger if I were only using the EATs instead, yet the charger keeps coming. Additionally this weapon has a 6 to 7 minute cooldown and on higher difficulties it isnt always possible to quickly retrieve your gear if you die, meaning that if you die and you cant quickly get this thing back you've lost your primary source of dealing with chargers, where as with the EATs you can just call in a set of two upon landing. The anti tanks also dont have to be charged up to do their job, when you need a charger dead they'll do it as soon as you need them to. The quasar has its strengths over the anti tanks but personally I feel like running the EATs is just a much safer choice, the quasar is definitely more risk but for more reward I suppose. Tldr the Quasar seems more convenient than the EATs but is a higher risk high reward weapon where as the EATs are a low risk high reward weapon. The infinite ammo of the quasar also means you wont have to worry as much about wasting EATs and it also means you wont have to worry about conserving your ammo. If the EATs are an S tier weapon the quasar is also an S tier weapon. They are both very strong weapons worth running. If youre going up against the bugs and someone on your team hasnt picked one of the two yet you're going to want to have one of two. Also a tip for the quasar: Never ADS with this thing, the sight sways SO MUCH. Just use this thing in 3rd person and it's much easier to aim as the reticule will tighten down as you charge the weapon, that is where the shot will go.
Bug scouts come across dozens of chargers, their most revered berserker warriors, with their heads completely vaporized. The scene is horrifying, made worse when they see just one pair of footprints. *just a mental image I had lol* 😂
So it’s a infinite ammo recoilless that needs no backpack Their ideas for balancing these support weapons is insane We get a utterly worthless heavy machine gun that has no 3rd person reticle and misaligned 1st person sight with poor damage and insane recoil with the only benefit being handheld auto cannon tier penetration And a straight upgrade to the recoilless and disposable anti tank.
it isn't an upgrade since if you ever need to deal with two or more heavies at once, or if you get flinched while aiming, this thing becomes useless--that's a clear advantage of the EAT and Recoilless IMO
With the release of this gun, they should bring the rail gun up a little bit, make safe mode what unsafe mode is now, and make unsafe mode what it was pre nerf Kasar gun is great but it is horrible at crowd control and leaves you very vulnerable with a large horde Arc Thrower still best crowd control weapon Kasar laser is best for heavy armor Railgun buff would make it balanced with these and a nice middle ground of the 2, kinda like what the flame thrower is Also best loadout Kasar cannon (heavies) Laser dog (crowds) Eagle airstrike Eagle cluster Slugger (for mid armors)

They nerfed railgun because it was stupidly overpowered. This guy is not.... Recoilless fires faster in between shots and does about the same thing. You can kill a bile faster with recoilless and eat. And a charger faster and kill more of them faster. That's called balance my guy... Instead of a railgun that can kill 10 bile titans before needing resupply 🙄 pre nerf.... Think about it. Eventually it'll make sense. 😳

That said, it absolutely SHINES in scenarios where you DO have the breathing room to make those shots, like when taking down Shrieker nests at a distance or Chargers/Bile Titans that are chasing teammates.
ngl i feel like the laser dog backpack is kinda better for bugs than shield backpack cuz, hunters can't hit me if they're already dead
Shield backpack is better with the Quasar cannon tho because it prevents flinch when taking the shot.
i feel like vs bugs they're equally viable with pros and cons, vs bots though, shield all the way. I think people generally prefer fighting bugs because there's a broader range of viable playstyles, but this new cannon absolutely rocks vs both bugs and bots

@@Rioqo I think you might have missed one of your shots. Today I 2 shotted a shreiker nest with the Quasar.

This gun is way worse into bots than you might expect. If you take any shots whilst charging you will flinch and send the shot off into the distance (or a nearby wall and you die). Much less reliable than it is into bugs. This problem exists with other guns sure but the window to get shot with this thing is so much longer.
Then don't miss the drop ship 😂
Then, wear a shield. Just played Helldive difficulty with shield and had absolutely nothing affect me when using the Quasar. 1 shot tanks, Hulks, dropships, base turret cannon. It is arguably the best support weapon right now
Agreed, this is what I found as well. With an EAT you can instantly fire at that hulk or tank, with this you get flinched so easily by enemy fire. Autocannon still the best against bots though.
@@Unahim you get flinched because you don't wear a shield
I think its still good to bring to bots. The cannon can one shot Dropships, and I've seen 1-2 shots on a Hulk. Havent used it on a Tank yet, though. But Im sure its an instant kill if you hit the weak spot.
I'm thinking with the addition of this beast, they need to go back and re-think the railgun nerf. The way I see it, why would I ever take a railgun in its current state when this thing exists.
Cuz of fire rate and if you play with a team you don't necessarily need 4 of these even tho it would be fun. You also have to charge it all the way up
"This shouldn't be x because x" isn't a good argument because it leads too one of two different scenarios.
Scenario 1. Item that caused discrepancy gets adjusted to be "in-line" with others.
Scenario 2. The original question gets put into a loop because now both items are exceptions, all others are now held to their regard and everything becomes "Why would I give up item x for x".

im surprise with all the comparasison to raigun/arc thrower where its place is more at the recoiless EAT it's the mid point between 1 use and rechargeable while behind able to still carry a backpack

Because some people only have one dimensional minds and think only in terms of raw damage output against the toughest target.
You have the best solo runs i love the content and i love that you started commenting imo its more enjoyable
This feels weird, they nerfed the railgun, but the Quasar Cannon is basically just the railgun but better
No it isn't. You can fire off 20 shots of the rail gun in half the time it takes to fire 20 of these
And those 20 shots accomplish virtually nothing. Quasar Cannon is a better weapon in nearly every situation, unless you're looking at some of the medium armored enemies, but primaries can fill that niche. Railgun is obsolete in terms of balance.
@Darksiege357 yeah I not going to hop off anything. It one shots everything. You have your opinion and I have mine.
The real meta is keeping your mouth shut about the guns that actually work so they don't nerf them.
Kw-way-czar!!!
They need to make it so a fully charged shot is reached quicker and also they need to revert some of the penetration falloff for not having a 100% charged shot bc that thing is absolutely trash now
This take is so dumb lol
I dont know if Ive ever seen an arc thrower peel armor off of a charger but Im happy to be corrected
Could simply add one second more before it explodes at max charge.
The Bile titan body armor is a little more inconsistent.
fun haters will be like, it can't be this good, it needs balance so nerf it

Unpopular opinion: I don't think you should be able to completely benefit from the speed boost of wearing light armour whilst lugging that thing around.
So in your opinion heavy armour should be slowed even further by lugging this around?
@@Unahim No. That maybe there should be a weight thing with a cap so you can be slowed down by weight to a max. There are multiple ways you could do it with heavy armour becoming redundant. As far as this wep is concerned (which isn’t firing a physical payload), you’re also basing your suggestion on the assumption that it is actually heavy. I actually prefer the new MG against automatons because of how quickly it blows vents on tanks, cannons, objectives, and hulks.
So this is effectively an endless ammo recoilless/EAT with NO backpack? Probably going to be the new meta, I mean, most of the player base doesn't use co-op weapons and actually co-ops.

Quasar's delicious. Feels really good to use too. Nice job as always, loving the commentated missions.
Defender is better than breaker now imo, it has amazing handling and being able to hip fire and jog away while shooting is so good for hunters.
So it’s a infinite ammo recoilless that needs no backpack
Their ideas for balancing these support weapons is insane
We get a utterly worthless heavy machine gun that has no 3rd person reticle and misaligned 1st person sight with poor damage and insane recoil with the only benefit being handheld auto cannon tier penetration
And a straight upgrade to the recoilless and disposable anti tank.
it isn't an upgrade since if you ever need to deal with two or more heavies at once, or if you get flinched while aiming, this thing becomes useless--that's a clear advantage of the EAT and Recoilless IMO
sooo.. this basically invalidates almost every other AT weapon in the game? that doesn't sound right
The Super Earth real elite soldier using multiple helldiver lives to make a reviewing video:
With the release of this gun, they should bring the rail gun up a little bit, make safe mode what unsafe mode is now, and make unsafe mode what it was pre nerf
Kasar gun is great but it is horrible at crowd control and leaves you very vulnerable with a large horde
Arc Thrower still best crowd control weapon
Kasar laser is best for heavy armor
Railgun buff would make it balanced with these and a nice middle ground of the 2, kinda like what the flame thrower is
Also best loadout
Kasar cannon (heavies)
Laser dog (crowds)
Eagle airstrike
Eagle cluster
Slugger (for mid armors)
It also does the same to bot drops. I love it already.
DON'T SAY META! THEY'LL NERF IT!
Caught myself wondering when the last time I could see this well in a mission was. So no fog is a thing, I guess.
Do you kill the spore spewers? They cause the horrible green fog on a lot of missions.
@@thomasward153 loads of planets have weather that causes visibility issues too. add spore tower/ bug nest onto that and it gets pretty tough to see further than 30m
I have a feeling they're going to nerf the Quasar just like the Railgun..... sigh.. hope not.
i still think everyone is underestimating the flamethrower, for bugs specifically. A flamethrower can kill every small bug around the big guys, and at the same time as killing multiple big guys after like 10 seconds of roasting
I like how they said the rail gun was brain dead but this quasar gets a pass.
7:08 Just a heads up, if you pre-gather the SEAF artillery shells in a pile in front of the loader, you can start the loading process, load them all, and finish the objective before any enemies that spawn to 'counter' the activity get to you, since the enemies spawn to counter the activity as soon as you activate the terminal.
Absolutely annihilates dropships
2 shots tanks from the front
Infinite ammo
