Ui's entire living expense over 3 months only costs like $2200?! That's like a month and a half of rent alone for me...
Probably different purchasing power (or whatever it's called) in different country? I mean, I can live off pretty well, not missing anything, and can eat a bit luxuriously every now and then with just less than 500 USD worth of my currency / month. And now that I converted it to USD it sounds ridiculous even for me
200-300k average salary/month in japan probably... 100k/month is barelly standar... Her work no need dally comuting (30k).. i think she already has home then no need paying rent(70k)...
Ui-tentei is close to Watame and Wamy which is close to Shisiron maybe it's okay to ask her.

actually... this is kind of a good question as to what a streamer needs...?
Don't a lot of the vtubers use a phone app of some kind and then somehow also use their computer?
So wouldn't part of the problem be phone, the other part bandwidth, and the last part their PC?
Hololive and niji use proprietary apps that uses iphone face tracking tech which is why they issue an iphone for each liver. I dunno about if* indies like ui mama and tamaki has access to proprietary apps like that.

Basically they let the phone handle the computations for face tracking so all the PC resources can be used on the game. Some of them, like Aqua, also has a 2PC setup where they game on one PC that is connected to another PC which runs OBS.

@@nvb4388 I think they phrased it badly, just that a 3090 ti is too expensive for what it offers, it also kinda depends on your needs and resolution you want to play at (streaming most of the time is at 1080p anyway though)
@@Chris3s The most expensive option is pretty much always way too expensive for what it offers, it mostly exists for bragging rights to show that you can spend twice the money on a 1% performance gain. Generally speaking only the 60 and 70 cards are worth your money, the 80 card might be justifiable if you use VR (though for newer gen cards that's not really the case any more), and anything above that is for show.
