This could either inspire Tira or Lynette (she has tambourines and was described as blonde); but because she has Cervantes' moveset, I would say Lynette. I'm still very curious to know who Wovama is/was. Namco probably has concept art of her lying around but they haven't release them because they simply don't care or something.
The tambourines in soul calibur 2 are the ones voldo uses once you unlock it as a joke weapon, though I guess that's how they thought of it in soul calibur 3.
Bearing in mind Wovama was actually in an article (August 2001) of Electronic Gaming Monthly (only in text as a "young blonde female warrior"), Tira isn't blonde.
That's why I said prototype ^^ it's mostly because of the weapons she uses that I thought she might be an early version of Tira or at least inspired Tira.
She has Voldo's weapons. And I think Voldo actually had ring-shaped weapons in this iteration... It's speculated that these inspired Tira's weapon, so I wouldn't be surprised if this were a very, very early concept of her.
I don't remember Voldo having ring shaped weapons in SCII but I might be wrong ^^ However you're probably right about her inspiring Lynette and not Tira, the weapons + the description of Wovama really sounds like Lynette!
I actually googled it, he did had ring-shaped weapons, they're called "Full Moon" for obvious reasons. I remembered those because someone actually put a modded Tira (with Talim's recolored model) in version of SCII Reloaded. She might be both, too, considering Voldo's weapons are still circular (does that make sense? XD); Cervantes' moveset with the tambourines look like Wovama/Cassandra is dancing, but I'm not sure if the tambourines are her default weapon and you can change them, or if those are the only weapons she can use. Nonetheless, I hope Namco gets to retake Wovama herself for SCVI, she could've been a better newcomer than Grøh but that's just my opinion.
Fun Fact: if you use Wovama in a mode that shows the character portraits under the health bar like Team Battle or Weapon Master, she actually uses the portrait of Link, the guest character from the Gamecube version. Also, what's the Action Replay code to play as Wovama? Provided you used Action Replay, that is.
Cervantes's moveset? Interesting.

I was thinking the same, and yes it was Lynette that used the tambourines.

Lynette inspiration came from.
It's just a mod
@@wrench8626 yeah, but wovama IS real, secret character though.
She was probably a Tira "prototype" but they just didn't have time to finish her or something
