Had this for 18 months. Attracted by the lever for adjusting cutting height which seems durable. The plastic Bosch levers seemed to snap easily. This Hyundai is ok at the cheap end of the market but grass collection is dreadful unless the lawn is very dry (which it is in the video). I'm not trying to cut soaking wet grass but even the slightest bit of moisture seems to cause most of the grass to stick to the underside of the mower. On a small lawn I still stop a couple of times to scrape the cuttings out of the mower before continuing. Also - replacement blade is supposed to exist but regularly out of stock everywhere
I have just bought one without knowing this existed. I watched the youtube of how to setup. The upper arm fixing has a small plastic block. You show this fitted to the inside before the washer and turn thumb Their website shows the block on the outside touching the metal tube handle as a locking plate locking with the cam handle.
Thank you. Informative video. I have this same mower, but I found that the grass wasn't being collected well and a lot of cut grass was on the lawn. I was constantly having ro drag the cut grass into the box. The grass as ankle high and it was a 40m garden. Helpful video. Thank you
@@carolineharley3317 Hi Caroline. Have you removed the mulching plug under the flap at the back? This will stop the grass from being collected. Thanks. Mark
I'm torn between this and the Mountfield Princess 34. I like the fully folding handles on this but the roller doesn't look as good as the Mountfield. What are your thoughts between the 2? thanks?
Hi En, thanks for your message, yes I have both of these mowers and would say that they are both very similar in terms of the rear roller, however the Mountfield Princess has a better build quality and components. Having said that you are paying more for the privilege and the Mountfield is slightly heavier, meaning that it will produce slightly more defined and lasting stripes. Yes I agree it is a shame that you can't fold and adjust the handles completely on the Mountfield. Both would make a good purchase. Hope this helps.
Just used this lawnmower for the first time today. Was not impressed. Lacked power and left alot of grass on the ground. Thinking about sending it back to amazon.
Hi Paul, sorry you found this mower not suitable for your lawn. If you are not happy do send it back to Amazon and perhaps look at a model with 1800W motor. You can use my selection tool here - easylawnmowing.co.uk/find-the-perfect-lawn-mower/
That's what I'm in the process of doing, which isn't the easiest thing I've ever done. Feels like the process is designed to make it difficult. I'll probably just buy one from argos or a garden center, definitely one with a stronger motor. Thanks for the reply 👍
Great review - thank you. How does it do on fallen leaves on lawns? Would you recommend using the mulcher or grass box? Also, how does it perform on damp grass?
Hi Sally, thanks for your feedback. The mulching does not work that well on leaves. The collection of leaves does work but it is not as good as some other mowers I have tested, so you will need to go over several times. Damp grass is fine, anything more and the mower gets clogged through the chute between the deck and the grass box (this is the case with the majority of mowers). Value for money and the features you get is still great with this mower. Hope this helps. Mark
Thanks for the video. I'm looking for an electric lawn mower with a high cutting height (like this model) but no roller. Could I remove the roller from this lawn mower? Or is there a better lawn mower for me?
You would be better off purchasing a mower with the cutting height you require and no roller, as removing the roller will void the warranty as well as other potential safety concerns. Below see my selection tool that may help you find what you are looking for - easylawnmowing.co.uk/find-the-perfect-lawn-mower/ Another electric mower with a height cutting height of 75mm with no rear roller is easylawnmowing.co.uk/murray-ec370-review/ Hope this helps.

Going to buy 1 with cable. They still have 10m cable even after 10 months of your review video, they should havelistened to u, wish i could afford cordless one..

@@EasyLawnMowing I have done this already. I cut the factory lead about 500mm from the mower switch and added a waterproof female plug and put the male side to my 30 mtr cable. I used 1mm heatproof as that is all I had. It is better than the 0.75 rubbish that is standard. I have used it twice now and it cuts well. I also added some screws to the grass box as it kept falling apart 🙂
Have tried the mulching yet, keep reading mixed reviews on this mower, some say it hardly collect cutting when using the grasdbox, and won't cut if grass slightly wet.
@@tonyhaz6664 I am impressed with mine. I put a 30mtr heavy duty cable on it that has a plug so I can disconnect and reel up on its own. The grass box collects really well but I had to add some screws to stop it falling apart when it was full. Not tried the mulching yet so can't comment on that. As as standard mower it is very good!! I cut wet grass the other day in between rain and it cut no problem at all.

Mine isn't collecting the grass at all. I am a bit puzzled what I am missing. I've watched it and I'm sure I have fitted it the same way
I have a feeling it is missing a part underneath (or I am losing the plot)

will this OBLITERATE any crab apples laying in my lawn!?
I will try this next time when testing mowers, however I would recommend clearing the apples off your lawn first.
@@EasyLawnMowing It's okay, I bought the Karacher 18-33 anyway. It manages with some smaller apples on the lower setting :)
Thats not lawn you are cutting. Only weeds
Yes the lawn was in terrible condition, but the mower dealt with it well.
