" I AM GOING TO CALL THIS MY 100" What is the significance of 100 and where do this number come from? I appreciate these videos more than I can express, I signed papers for my earthworks 2D on monday and should have it installed next week. I am super excited to use the system and these videos are going to help me hit the ground running
I am sooo happy to hear these videos help you and that you are ready to jump into this technology, you won’t regret it. My reference to 100 is a typical job site reference to finish floor. A lot of job sites assign finish floor slab as a 100 elevation and footings and structures are based off that. So since I was just doing a training in an open lot and not on a job, I was just using it as an example in case my footings needed to be 2 or 3 below that.
At the moment most of my digging comes in the form of footings for metal buildings and trenching for electrical service. I like the idea of not having to get out and check with the grade rod or guess if I am deep enough or worse have to rework the ditch after I have already backed up. I see the value in the technology, in the time they it will save and all the other things I can do with it. So keep those training videos coming. I like the idea that this system will set my apart from my completion 😊
