Hi everybody!👋
I just returned from another trip to the Red Sea, this time to the south.
I can't put into words what I felt when I was surrounded by so much beauty. The corals are like something I haven't seen before. This video is my humble attempt to capture this treasure with my camera.
I hope you like it!!
Filmed with Sony A1, Zeiss 16-35mm f4

Hi Jose,
it is a great video! ;-)
Thank you so much and have a great time. Hope we see again 😊
Love this! What was this shot on?
Hey!, thanks 😊. Sony A1, Zeiss 16-35mm f4 in an Ikelite 200DL housing with compact dome.
Stunning!! Did you use S cinetone or slog3 for color ?
@@happy1wandering thanks!. S-Log3 👍
@@jlramos3d great! Have you tried SCine underwater before ? Thoughts relative to Slog3 ? Which lut do recommend for underwater Slog3 shots ?
@@happy1wandering log3 has a base ISO of 800, cinetone 100. That extra sensitivity is very welcome, because I try capture natural light and sometimes there is not enough, especially bellow 10 meters.
Also, I heavily color correct the footage. Log3 is more prepare for that, with more range in the shadows and highlights.
I like cinetone for above water, especially for skin tones. But I think that, for underwater, log3 gives you several advantages.
@@jlramos3d I see your point! I didn’t even know if scine’s color science is applicable underwater too, so wanted to get an opinion before I try it. Have you tried it yourself in shallow waters / reefs ? Thanks again for your input, really appreciate it!
@@happy1wandering I nerver tried it underwater. I am sure that, If you get the white balance and exposure right, it would look gorgeous.
