I think that because 2/3 of the book is more theory, the price makes it less worthwhile for professional artists who already have a strong knowledge of color, light and shadow. There are also a lot of detailed tutorials that could help to get a different perspective on how to work. For me, the book was worthwhile because the theoretical part is also well structured. Of course, you can also read a lot of it for free on the Internet, but then it also involves a lot of searching. Here you have everything in one book and also chapters on topics that you would otherwise not have considered. In addition to the basic knowledge that I was taught during my training and studies, I was able to expand my knowledge through the book and because it is so thick, I am still learning something new because you can't get through it within a few days if you want to apply the knowledge you have gained.
