Dear Dr. Geiser, thank you so much for the informative video. recently, i am trying to validate a scale. However, i encoutered some issues. For example, previous studies found inconsistent results with regards of the structure. some studies suggested it is a unidimentional, while other studies suggested it is two-factor structure. i am not sure in this case, shall i use EFA or CFA first. Thank you again!

      I would run a 1-factor and a 2-factor CFA model.
      Best, Christian Geiser
