Brilliant observation about Absolute additions and Preacher in particular. I completely agree - preacher is more about the story. I read the entire run years ago. Started by checking out the first few volumes from my local library and purchased the complete trade paperback run on eBay. Once I had finished reading it, I sold off the collection. I also agree about manga series running long And they need to impress from the onset. My favorite series is the brief 2001 nights. It’ was collected in 3 volumes in English but it’s out of print. An impressive sci-fi series.

Now that you bring up Preacher I should try to get those Absolutes sold. It’s not easy in our small market but maybe those big books might get the attention.
I have Y:The Last Man Absolutes the whole series. That might be even easier to sell as it’s complete. I’d be OK with just trades in both cases.

Sorry - Absolute ‘editions’ not ‘additions’! I was dictating to my phone for my reply above.

Stunning part 2. So you paint the inside door yourself? Incredible and quite a presence upon opening. I love Blade of the Immortal and have read the entire run. I wouldn’t recommend you continue. The story gets more... deviant and cruel, and though it’s not horror, I’d you’re not a horror fan, I don’t think you’ll enjoy the rest of the series. The art and fight sequences are stunning throughout, though. I’ll need to look further into Blame! I really like the dimensions of those editions you own.. I’ll comment more but this one’s long already. Thanks for the tour. I’m so jealous of all the European comics you own.

I wish I was that talented but both sides of cabinet doors are taped. I had a company make big tapes for me. Required some planning to get that Death Star happen.
I have not yet continued to collect Blade of the Immortal. I liked it but not that much. Many manga series are very long so I expect quite a big wow-effect from the start to get committed. Blame! is still my favorite manga. In fact it´s my top 3 all time comics in any genre. You´ll love it or don´t really get the fuss about it at all. It really divides readers only into two camps.
As for European Comics things are relative by markets. I always watch in awe and jealousy what Earl Grey has in his shelfs. Germans have it so good but still they are looking at French market feeling left out:)

earl grey’s collection is staggeringly impressive. Last year I discovered Abebooks thanks to Living the Line bringing it to my attention. I’ve been able to purchase European comics through the online source though they’re not perfect - shipping to California can be pricey. I’m OK with that as long as the book itself is relatively affordable.

@@jonanjello I must say I admire your persistence and effort to get these European comics. There are some comics - even in USA - that I’d like to have and they are not available in Europe. In those cases I just put them into my White Whale-list and have nice dreams about them:)

@@analogcomics Excellent. Can't wait for your next video. I like that you have a mix of great comics. American: Disney/Marvel/DC. European Albums and integrals and of course Japanese Manga. Normally in other channels focuse mainly in superheroes but your collection has a great mix of styles. BRAVO!!!

Love the Private Eye. CineBook can publish in any order they want as long as they put out Thorgal, Largo Winch, XIII and Clifton. Shame they haven't published Franka, yet.

I agree on Cinebook and publishing order. As long As we get more stories in steady flow I´m a happy bunny. And there are many other series I hope they´ll take under their wings in future.

For Manga, I wou!d recommend Lone Wolf and Cub - the artwork and story are both amazing.unfortunately it's hard to find to find in large size in English

I´ve read volume 1 from Dark Horse of Lone Wolf and loved it. I decided to patiently wait for larger size print - and I´m still patiently waiting:)
As far as I know only a small part of this story was originally published in large format by First Comics before the company was shut down.
