I created my own Star Wars tattoo using Mando'a and Aurebesh. Without knowing them, the ink wouldn't make as much sense. EDIT: But YES, you should get one, but I'm curious what you plan to get...?
Originally when Vader threw the Emperor over the railing, he didn't say anything. There was no dialogue line where he said, "No... NO!" and all you had to gauge his state of mind was his mask and the context of the situation. It made for a much more potent scene. I think going back and giving him dialogue sort of weakens it, makes it a little too hand-holdy. Just seeing him turn on his master to save his son, should be enough to understand the character arc. Show, don't tell.
@emd78s. I'm all I er the place. I prefer silent Vader, I prefer the new song, I don't mind the "across the universe celebrations" but I fmt need them, and I much prefer old man Vader.
I still get chills to this day when Luke realizes he and Leia are brother and sister, and it was especially great watching your reaction because you were going in not knowing this Luke/Leia connection. Very cool indeed, just like when you found out Vader was Luke's father. Such great reactions.
Just FYI “baby yoda” isn’t yoda as a baby, but another baby of the same mysterious unnamed alien race as yoda But old or young they are cute funny little green guys
An interesting aspect to the original trilogy, as a kid who watched them all starting as a wide eyed 9 year old seeing that Star Destroyer fly overhead in the opening sequence, Episode IV will always hold a special place as the movie that started it all, Episode V is the greatest of the trilogy, and Episode VI is my favourite. So sort of fondest, greatest, favourite, in that order. They’re subtle differences, but they make sense to me.
This is not a spoiler. When you get to The Mandalorian, baby Yoda is not Yoda. The series takes place 5 years after this movie. We called him baby Yoda bcuz he didn't have a name and we don't know what species Yoda is
Vader's background music: "the Imperial March" YOu might find this interesting, but some of the other characters/ideas have their own music, too Leia - 5:50 the Force - 15:23 Luke, too (but you wont hear/recognize his until the prequels)
The wee musical themes associated with different characters are called "leitmotifs". It's a technique used a lot in operatic scores, to introduce, and then to announce the entrance/exit of a character. Williams utilises this technique a lot, to great effect.
Release order is the best way to watch Star Wars for the first time. Even most of those who suggest other orders watched it by release order on their first viewing. To explain why Episodes 4, 5 and 6 came first - When 4 was originally in theaters, it was simply called "Star Wars", followed by "The Empire Strikes Back and "Return of the Jedi". It was after that when George Lucas decided to do a prequel story to show the Skywalker origin story and the rise of the Empire. In preparation for it, the original trilogy was re-released (with some CGI updates) and given the episode numbers 4, 5, 6, with "Star Wars" being renamed "Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope", and then the prequels being called episodes 1, 2, 3.
yhea, but we didn't have a choice haha. I think it would be great if someone sees them for the first time in Chronoligical order. The reveal of Darth Vader as Luke's Father wouldm't be a surprise, but his turn to the good side would have more wight I think.
It is my understanding that he did have the idea of doing the prequels in mine when he made 4,5, and 6 but he knew he could not do them with the technology they had at the time. He did not call them 4,5 and 6 because he did not want to confuse people at the time.
Had you seen these movies in the theater, this would have been the first time seeing what Jabba looks like, plus the song sung in Jabba’s palace was different, without the new footage. It’s available on RUclips along with what Anakin originally looked like at the end. George Lucas had pasted a face of the prequel actor over older Anakin in this re-release version.
Yeah, not a fan of 90% of stuff that was added. Until this time through I didn't like that they changed the force ghost of Vader/anikin to hayden Christiansen but, it kinda makes sense because that's when he was connected to the light side.
Great reaction Aria. The bit that sets my waterworks off is when Anakin and Luke are talking on shuttle ramp and Luke says "I've got to save you" and Anakin says "You already have Luke" 😭

The music that plays in the background you commented on in the beginning of the reaction is called "The Imperial March". A co-worker of mine is a huge Darth Vader fan. He has that music set as the ringtone for when his wife calls. He explains it by saying even Vader has to answer to the Emperor. 😅
A great series and great reactions. Your expressions and reactions outweigh any need for tears, so don't let anyone make you feel bad for not shedding tears. Wonderful job young lady.
You are correct as to the reason why Anakin's Force ghost is his younger self and Obi-Wan's is how we saw him in A New Hope. I look forward to the rest of your reactions!
This is the result of George Lukas tinkering with the original trilogy while he was making the prequels. Many of us OG fans (myself included) preferred the original trilogy before these changes. In the originals, there were several key differences. One of them was Anakin's force ghost being the old man version after returning to the good side of the force.
@@dunringill1747 + 1. Lucas destroyed his creation with the Special Editions. The elimination of Yub Nub and Sebastian Shaw is the worst of these crimes. The ending now elicits a “who the f*ck is that that?” from most reactors. 😔
@@rickardroach9075 +1. Agreed it was a terrible thing Lucas did. *I would also add to the top of the crimes - Cha 4: the Han Solo / Greedo scene followed by his Jabba scene.* Originally, only Solo shot his gun. By having Greedo shoot as well brought in the "Who shot first" argument. It takes away Han Solo's established character of being more of a Bad-Ass. Then the Solo / Jabba scene shows viewers the "less Bad-Ass Han" is not afraid to talk down to Jabba the Hut. He even stepped on Jabba's tail in disrespect. Jabba is no longer a mysterious powerful Crime Lord with an army of minions to do his dirty work. "Less Bad-Ass Han Solo" is a bigger deal in his life. He goes there himself in person, only to be disrespected. Originally, those who deal with Jabba are in fear of failure, even if something goes wrong that is not their fault (like in Han's case). Now, with these changes, that dread danger hanging over Han Solo's head throughout the entire trilogy is removed.
I sort of understand what you're saying because in new hope when they talked about Jabba, he felt like he might be important but then they showed him and his conversation with solo made me feel like maybe it's just a side character so we kinda get to know more about han solo's life or something. And by 'return of the jedi', I couldn't understand how he suddenly became such a big deal and why is everyone scared of him.
@@ariachanson01 Thank you for reading my post. Almost every change by Lucas turned a more deeply interesting trilogy into something more bland. Another example - Sometimes less is more. I hated the addition of Darth Vader saying "No" then yelling "NOOOOO!" as he grabs the Emperor and throws him over the deck's edge. It was a much more powerful scene delivery when Darth Vader remained silent. Through visual acting alone - Viewers could feel his inner struggle turn into direct focus as he attacked the Emperor.
James Earl-Jones (Darth Vader's voice) has such a commanding and great voice, just right for Vader himself, so kudos to him. Your reactions are so good. The feelings you show are so raw, good for you. Kudos! :)
before the final version of the script, there were ideas for Luke to kill Vader and go to the dark side, and the movie itself was called Revenge of the Jedi.Lucas changes it at the last minute, stating that revenge is not part of the Jedi ideology, posters with the old name are worth crazy money today! And strictly speaking, you have already seen part of the second trilogy. At the end of the movie, the third force spirit (Anakin) is replaced by the actor playing the young Vader. And as for the order of viewing from here on: episodes 1,2,3,Rogue One. the rest of the new movies are not only mediocre, but have nothing to do with the REAL story line established over the decades
29:50 yes the personification of his goodness was at the pinnacle of when Darth Vader took over his being, thus as Vader is destroyed the goodness of Anakin is restored to that point 😊
Imagine being darth vader in the last moments of his life 1.SOO proud of your son ("I am a Jedi, like my father before me"): better than you in every possible way: good looking kid, brave, optimistic, loyal, better light-saber fighter than you (and you're the best), morally better than you for resisting the Emperor when you failed. What more could a father want, than a son who's a good man? 2.Yet, when you take off the helmet, you're ASHAMED of what your son will see: an ugly, scarred, sad, vicious, lonely, pale, shriveled, enslaved (to the Dark Side and the emperor), war criminal, hated by everyone, including himself. I feel like the Vader actor conveyed all of that pride and shame in a single, shaky smile.
@@ariachanson01 And then Lucas replaces him with Hayden Christensen in the final shot of the film! The appearance of Force Ghost Anakin used to bring tears of joy to my eyes. Now it brings tears of anger. 🤬
To learn Anakin's story, you must watch the prequels, as you stated. After that, watch Rogue One. I would suggest then to watch the Sequels ONLY to form your own opinion about them. But then after the sequels, you would have to watch The Mandalorian. Trust me, in this order (not including The Clone Wars AND Rebels), you would understand. BUT, to get the fullest benefit, you need to watch Clone Wars and Rebels prior to seeing The Mandalorian.
For some reason, I never really thought of this before, but it hit me tonight one of the reasons why this movie was called Return of the Jedi. Most obviously, it's because Luke becomes a full Jedi. But it struck me tonight, another reason might be because Anakin gave up the dark side and came back to the light side of the force, thus also returning as a Jedi. People may or may not agree with that (or think I'm stupid for just realizing that second point) but it makes me happy. Originally, they had the actor who was in the Darth Vader costume play the force ghost of Anakin, but Lucas changed it during the Special Editions. And this is one reason I much prefer the De-Specialized Editions of the Star Wars trilogy--I get to see the movies as they originally played in theaters. Some of the special effects are better in the Special Editions, and the changing of the Vader/Emperor scene in Empire Strikes Back is infinitely better, but there is just something charming about seeing the movies as they should have been. Another great reaction. Thank you so much!
@@ariachanson01 Indeed, I am a Jabba fan, you have to step back and really admire his character, I always thought, Han kind of put himself into the position by not paying Jabba back and I know Jabba gave him more chances than most and Han dragged Leia into it in a way, so instead of taking the money he took Leia as collateral and, I don't blame him, she's a gorgeous Princess, and he certainly had guts to laugh off Lukes threats.
Enjoy your channel/reactions... And I'm a new subscriber... Really like the way you start a movie series and follow it through.. Other channels have several weeks or months between sequels.. Best of luck to you.
People who think that the movies should be watched in timeline are just plain annoying and wrong. I’ve seen many Star Wars reactions, I think I like Aria’s the most.
I think ultimately when people recommend which watch order, comes down to which trilogy resonates with them, more. Which is a fair opinion to have. But, I still think this is the best watch order for a first time, viewer. As, the prequels ultimately spoil the two major twists of the originals.
@Frost_Bytes. Stop being so kind. You explained yourself why anyone recommending alternative watch orders for first time viewers is just plain wrong to do so.
I think it makes the most sense to watch the movies in the order 4, 5, 6, 1, 2, 3 and then the rest doesn't really matter as much although I haven't finished watching the new series like Obi-Wan, Mandalorian, & Boba Fett, and I've never seen the cartoons. The new movies are definitely divisive... I'll keep my opinions to myself until after you watch them though.
Actually the reason Anakin's force ghost was younger is because George Lucas changed the film's. The original theatrical release of the film had the Guy that played Vader when Luke took his mask off (the actors name was Sebastian Shaw). George Lucas changed it with CGI to Hayden Christiansen (The actor that plays Anakin in the prequels). Many of the scenes in the new releases were altered and changed from the original theatrical releases. Here's a few RUclips videos that show the changes that were made. Surprise!! - R2-D2 and C-3PO are in ALL of the (main sequence) Star Wars films, including the prequels! You’re right to ask the question about, “If the droids experienced the events of Episodes I-III, wouldn’t they talk about them, or refer to them, at some point? The answer is: under normal circumstances, yes, they would. C-3PO doesn’t talk about the events of the Prequels, because he can’t. R2-D2 doesn’t talk about the events of the Prequels, because nobody thought to ask him. ( R2 has a very special personality. He doesn’t volunteer information “out of the blue” unless he thinks it’s essential that someone learns that information. R2 leans towards being, "the strong, silent type.") One of the subtle themes in the films, is that “appearances can be deceiving.” Darth Vader appears to be ‘THE BAD GUY’ in the films. But, if you watch Episodes I thru VI, so that you know the full story, and then watch the start of Episode IV again, something interesting happens: Vader’s _appearance_ doesn’t change, but his _image_ - _the way you see him_, DOES change. It changes A LOT! All of the Star Wars characters in-universe, could have asked R2 at any time, about the events of the Prequels. If they had, R2 probably would have told them. But, they all think of R2 as “an extremely well-put-together-little-droid, who is good for saving the world,” but not as “a living history book that could tell you all about how (the events of the Prequels) happened.” In a way, the limited thinking (what they thought R2 could do), was a handicap (in the sense that it kept them from knowing or learning stuff.) I did a video some time back, on, “What did R2 really say?” - and in that video, with subtitles, R2 DOES reference the events of Episode III (during episode IV) (even though, at the time, there’s no one around to hear him - and if there were, they’d also have had to understand R2’s droid-speak.). (R2's reference is sufficiently small that I think you can watch it without worrying that it spoils or 'gives away' stuff before watching Episode III. ...It gives away a small event - nothing major.) That video, is here: ruclips.net/video/etf-dSErdFk/видео.html Enjoy.
16:25 Luke: "He's my Father." Lea: "My God, that is horrible. I think I'd kill myself if Darth Vader was my dad." Luke: "I really wish you hadn't said that." So I guess it's good she didn't. But from the look on her face, I bet she was thinking it.
Remember that the creator of these movies released them in this order for very good reasons! Don't question that. Some huge plot twists would have been ruined if you watched the prequels before this movie.
He did. He started withe ep4 because he thought it would be the cheapest to produce. No other reason. (In Hollywood money is always the controlling factor.) And they work best in release order simply because it is release order. The prequels are informed by the original trilogy. And that's fine.
Glad you’re so interested in the prequels now! Hope you watch it soon. I enjoy them, but keep your expectations low, since some people get disappointed and don’t like the prequels.
The Biggest Difference between 4,5 and 6... 1,2 and 3... and 7,8 and 9. Each Group will show you the Difference between the Feel of each Group ,as to how the stories Develop and how each was handled according to the Times they were made (like Practical Effects vs. CGI).
The title Return of the Jedi is on the surface is about Luke becoming a Jedi but then Vader redeems himself at the end and returns to being a Jedi. So your take on why we are shown younger Anakin makes sense. Originally it was the older Vader without the scars as a force ghost. I think Obi-Wan appears to Luke as his older self is so that Luke would recognize him. So awesome to watch you love for the franchise grow with every reaction to the point where now you want Start Wars ink. Can't wait yo see your prequel reactions
Your theory on why the "Jedi Spirit" of Vader (Anakin Skywalker) was younger and Obi-Wan was not, is correct. At least, that has always been my theory ever since they changed the original middle-aged Anakin spirit to the younger version from the prequels, before he turned evil.
The end of this film is an example of why it's semi-important to see the original releases of the OT before all else ; the changes made in the 1997 SE editions (and re-releases of it several times after) reference people and places that are only revealed in the prequels. This may be why some fans argue that watching the movies in their episodic order is better. And that would not be a wrong assertion. But because of the reveals in the OT, it is still better to watch in their original release order. Hence watching the original 3 films AND the SE films. 1. Original Trilogy : SW (1977), TESB (1980), ROTJ (1983) 2. Prequel Trilogy : Episode I TPM (1999), Episode II AOTC (2002), Episode III ROTS (2005) 3. "A Star Wars Story" Films : Solo (2018), Rogue One (2016) 4. Original Trilogy SE : Episode IV ANH (1997), Episode V TESB (1997), Episode VI ROTJ (1997) (or the subsequent re-releases of your choice from 2004, 2006, 2011, 2015) 5. Sequel Trilogy : Episode VII TFA (2015), Episode VIII TLJ (2017), Episode IX TROS (2019) THAT is how to watch all the SW films! 🙂 This Wiki page may help you sort the many SE releases out and get a complete list of everything. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Changes_in_Star_Wars_re-releases
The 45(1)236 order takes away just as much as it gives. Theatrical release makes complete sense and any argument for the Machete Order is based upon arguments that it violates in itself.
So the title of this movie Aria refers to the return and redemption of Anakin Skywalker as he finally fulfils the Star Wars prophecy and brings balance to the force.
Seeing these three movies in the theater had it's pros and cons. I was 13 when the original movie came and it blew my mind. But unlike you I had to wait 3 years between each movie where you can watch them in a day if you choose.
What you just watched, technically, was the _re-release,_ from '97. One thing they did, here, was replace the footage of Anakin Skywalker, once he was part of the Force, with the actor who played him in _Episode II_ and _Episode III._ Before they did that, the image we saw, there, of him was the actor who played the Darth Vader we saw when Luke finally took off his _mask._ So it's kind off _odd_ that they would update _Anakin Skywalker_ but not also _Obi-Wan Kenobi._
Yes watch the Star Wars movies in release order. I will suggest you pause here and watch the stand alone movie "Rogue One, a Star Wars Story". There is a reason it is named as it is, and it has a direct relationship to Star Wars, A New Hope. You will see rebel pilots in Rogue one, they used unused film from 1977 in the battle scenes and other cuts from the rebel base.
Hey Aria, quite a bounce back for you after watching Empire Strikes Back. Return of the Jedi wraps everything up very well. Great reaction for this trilogy. Yes, the Imperial March is perfect.
Hello. You are a sweetheart. 1) watch the Prequels, just because it's cool to see Anakin/Darth Vader's origin story, 2) Yoda is in the prequels (and young Obi-One Kenobi) and 3) Episode III kicks ass!
Hello, Aria! That very cool music is so good because it is John Williams composition and it is called the imperial march. You want to know how and why Darth Vader turned to the dark side … keep watching ep. 1, 2 then 3 and you’ll find out, also you’ll see that it was best to watch in the release order. When you’ll get to ep. 7 some awesome surprises will wait for you. But for now, patience and watch the story of Darth Vader. I promised that after you react to ep. 6 I’ll reveal my most favorite line of all the movies I ever watched, which is in "Return Of The Jedi" … it is “I am a Jedi, like my father before me”. Looking forward to your next reaction. You’re doing great, thank you. Salutations from Romania …
It’s too bad that I missed you by 2 hours for Machete Order, but ultimately, it’s not important which order you watch in. The important part is that you watch and enjoy them, which you clearly are. There’s a lot of content out there now. Chronologically, Star Wars goes: 1 2 Clone Wars Series 3 Bad Batch (Clone Wars) Series Kenobi Series Solo Rogue One 4 5 6 Mandalorian 7 8 9 Do be aware that Star Wars fans can be very assertive about how you will enjoy “their” Star Wars. There are a lot of fans who have been fans for decades, and want you to have the same experience they had. Some groups are Original Trilogy only and think less of those of us who enjoy the Prequels. There are those of us who like 1-6 and hate the sequels. There are those who were brought into Star Wars by the Sequels and love them. All of those groups are equally Star Wars fans. You will have to just choose and tell us what you are doing. If you watch the sequels, you’ll probably see some complaints, but don’t stand for anyone berating you for that choice. You don’t deserve that. In the meantime, I can’t wait for you to get to Episode 3 and Rogue One. Maybe consider re-watching 6 again sometime after 3.
watch 6 after 3? (you probably know what i'm about to say. :) ) if only there was some.....order.....to make that happen..... i know i know. just kidding. but: child-of-the-70s converted machete-order fan, checking in, here. (I was introduced to the idea by comedian Patton Oswald on a late night interview) one of the quiet pulls of the machete order that i love is that right after Empire, nearly everyone is thinking the same thing: "his father?! his FATHER?! who IS this Darth Vader guy? What's HIS story? All thoughts of the rebel alliance and Han take a back seat. Right when you're most curious, the machete order gives you what you want most. HIS story.
Solo technically happens before the Obi-Wan Kenobi series -- at least, according to Disney Plüs's Chronological Order playlist. They happen in the same year -- ten years following Episode III.
19:38 "Your _friends_ are walking into a _trap,_ as is your rebel fleet." The Emperor and Darth Vader are not aware of the Ewoks. Fortunate that Luke is not aware of them _either._
I really enjoyed your reactions to SW EP456, I’m really happy that you enjoyed the SW movies. I love them. I’m looking forward to your reaction to the prequels.
apart from the prequels and sequels their is a han solo movie simply called "Solo: A Star Wars Story" witch shows han solos origin and a prequel movie to episode 4 called "Rouge One: a star wars story".
For those who care, the best recommended watching order is : Find the ORIGINAL theatrical releases of the Original Trilogy (OT) from 1977, 1980, 1983. The importance of this if for a couple of reasons : 1. See them as all SW fans did back in the day and get a feel for the vision of the time and the level of special effects of that era, and to experience this part of the saga in the same way. 2. Watching Episode 4 (original or 1997 Special Editions) AFTER the prequels (Episodes 1,2,3) will ruin reveals and cause confusions within the prequel trilogy - things of significance will go completely missed. The OT sets up many questions that get answered in the prequels, and seeing the prequels will - what is it the kids are always crying about... oh right - cause SPOILERS. 3. Seeing the OT also allows for appreciating the changes made in the 1997 SE films. The SE films will provide that seamless bridge between the prequels and the sequels, so you can have the benefit of seeing all the "Episodes" in chronological order, but without the spoilers. If you cannot find the OT, then watch the 1997 SE films first, and if you wanna watch them again later to fill the gap between Episodes 3 and 7, that's your call. After seeing the PREQUELS, watch the "Star Wars Story" films : Solo, and Rogue One - IN THAT ORDER. Even though they were released the other way around, events in Solo (which include, among other things, how Han net Chewie and how Han won the Millennium Falcon from Lando) happened well before Rogue One, and furthermore (and more importantly), Rogue One ends with a direct transition into the start of Episode 4 (A New Hope). To put ANYTHING between Rogue One and Episode 4 would be ridiculous. After you've seen the OT, followed by the Prequels, followed by the SW Story films. followed by the 1997 SE of the OT, you are now ready for the SEQUELS. Many have ragged on these films for their "woke" treatment, but if you can suspend that going in, you may find the films are not that bad after all. Keep in mind, a lot of SW fans are devout purists, and many more are what I call "elitist snobs" when it comes to their precious franchises, who think their opinion trumps all others. Screw them - those people are like movie critics ; they don't know anything but their own bias. So ignore the critics and the pessimists, and even the eternal optimists who praise the sequel trilogy too much, and just see them for yourself and make your own judgments. 🙂 If you are so inclined to check out the limited series : Obi-Wan Kenobi, (after SW Episode 3 ROTS), The Book Of Boba Fett and The Mandalorian (in that order, after SW Episode 6 ROTJ), I highly recommend them. The animated stuff is okay but it's rather vast (too many seasons and serials to keep up with and/or get through), and the modelling is a little goofy. 😛
Having watched all three of your Star Wars reactions, I would first like to say you watched them in the correct order. Do NOT listen to anyone who might have told you to watch them in chronological order. In fact, you should probably cross those people out of your life for good. It was refreshing to watch a reaction in which the person watching truly was not aware of the Anakin/Luke-father/son story. I got to relive that with you and it was very nice. The next three films, Episodes I, II, and III, completely deal with Anakin as he grows as a Jedi, so you will get to see his entire life story unfold on-screen. Please continue on with Episode I.
10:00 "Leia!" "Really?" Oh, yes. Big reveals, like this, about people who've been there since _Episode IV_ play a big role in maintaining novelty as _well._
0:45 Yeah, The Imperial March by John Williams. 28:10 Be careful what you wish for. We got that and now we wish we knew less about him. Darth Vader is the perfect example of "less is more" principle. 29:43 Yes and no. Since the infamouse special edition of the original trilogy is no treated as the default version, you get Hayden Christensen from the prequels replacing original Sebastian Shaw. All because Lucas loved to "update" the original movies with CGI that ranges from pointless to bad.
So, should I get that tattoo?

the Force - 15:23
Luke, too (but you wont hear/recognize his until the prequels)
Woah that's really good, I didn't notice that, thankyou:)
@@ariachanson01 Themes for each character are essential. Rey's theme is one of the ones that moves me the most. ;)
The wee musical themes associated with different characters are called "leitmotifs". It's a technique used a lot in operatic scores, to introduce, and then to announce the entrance/exit of a character. Williams utilises this technique a lot, to great effect.
Luke's theme is the main Star Wars theme. The movies open with it.
I like when the imperial march played she started head nodding. :)
Release dates is the only way to watch Star Wars movies. Anyone who says any other order is just wrong.
@@PatagonDane No, it would not be great. It just kills the biggest twist of the whole franchise.
@@CalciumChief The TWO biggest twists.
And the song at the end was different too! It used to be "Yub Nub."
Yeah, not a fan of 90% of stuff that was added. Until this time through I didn't like that they changed the force ghost of Vader/anikin to hayden Christiansen but, it kinda makes sense because that's when he was connected to the light side.
'Baby Yoda' in the Mandalorian is not actually Yoda, but another of his species who also can use the force.
You can see Vader's back story in Episode 3. It's pretty epic.
5:21 "That's Lando."
Yes. He _redeems_ himself in this movie.
Your smile when the Star Wars logo flashes on screen made me happy because that's how I feel every single time.

😂😂
*I would also add to the top of the crimes - Cha 4: the Han Solo / Greedo scene followed by his Jabba scene.*
Originally, only Solo shot his gun.
Kudos! :)
“I want to know his story now” Thanks for saying so, because the prequel trilogy gives Vader’s entire life story. So I’d watch that next. 😁
Episodes 4,5 and 6
Askes the questions.
Episodes 1,2 and 3.
Has the answers.
The perfect order.
Then Rogue one.
Episodes 7, 8 and 9.
Fun fact: the actor who played Wedge, the pilot who blew up the Death Star with Lando, Denis Lawson, is Ewan McGregor’s uncle :)
Can't wait to see your prequel reactions!
I've loved watching you react to the original trilogy, once you've seen the three prequels you MUST see Rogue One, you'll absolutely adore it! x
before the final version of the script, there were ideas for Luke to kill Vader and go to the dark side, and the movie itself was called Revenge of the Jedi.Lucas changes it at the last minute, stating that revenge is not part of the Jedi ideology, posters with the old name are worth crazy money today!
I feel like Solo was good 👍
29:50 yes the personification of his goodness was at the pinnacle of when Darth Vader took over his being, thus as Vader is destroyed the goodness of Anakin is restored to that point 😊
It's simple really. Anakin turned to the Dark Side because he doesn't like sand.
Imagine being darth vader in the last moments of his life
1.SOO proud of your son ("I am a Jedi, like my father before me"): better than you in every possible way: good looking kid, brave, optimistic, loyal, better light-saber fighter than you (and you're the best), morally better than you for resisting the Emperor when you failed.
He really did a fantastic job
@@ariachanson01 And then Lucas replaces him with Hayden Christensen in the final shot of the film! The appearance of Force Ghost Anakin used to bring tears of joy to my eyes. Now it brings tears of anger. 🤬
Amazing review and excitement, please don’t ever stop
Wait, lol... did you just quote Bananarama...?
Fine, subscribed, lol.
That music is called "The Imperial March".
30:58 Now you can find out more about Darth Wader by “diving” into the prequels.
Now 16 years later, we get Anakin's story. Keep tissues, gonna need them later.
Luke: Quietly!
Han: Hey, it's me!
Me: That's why he say it Han!
I just finished watching your reactions to the original SW trilogy and I'm glad that you enjoyed them and I welcome you to the fandom/family.
You gotta admit Jabba has legit parties in his palace, that's why he's my favorite character, I am always up for a party, I would get wasted.
That party really was something

Anakin's redemption is my favorite scene of all the film 😊
The planet at the beginning is tatooween at jabba palace which is used in the show the book of boba fett, a good show to watch

The imperial march is a classic. Perfect for empire appearances
R2 leans towards being, "the strong, silent type.")
One of the subtle themes in the films, is that “appearances can be deceiving.” Darth Vader appears to be ‘THE BAD GUY’ in the films.
But, they all think of R2 as “an extremely well-put-together-little-droid, who is good for saving the world,” but not as “a living history book that could tell you all about how (the events of the Prequels) happened.”
In a way, the limited thinking (what they thought R2 could do), was a handicap (in the sense that it kept them from knowing or learning stuff.)
I did a video some time back, on, “What did R2 really say?” - and in that video, with subtitles, R2 DOES reference the events of Episode III (during episode IV) (even though, at the time, there’s no one around to hear him - and if there were, they’d also have had to understand R2’s droid-speak.). (R2's reference is sufficiently small that I think you can watch it without worrying that it spoils or 'gives away' stuff before watching Episode III. ...It gives away a small event - nothing major.)
That video, is here:

3:35 This was our introduction. Jabba wasn’t added to Ep IV until the infamous Special Editions.
16:25 Luke: "He's my Father."
Lea: "My God, that is horrible. I think I'd kill myself if Darth Vader was my dad."
Luke: "I really wish you hadn't said that."
So I guess it's good she didn't. But from the look on her face, I bet she was thinking it.
13:03 "Forget the high stakes. We're making a _kids_ movie, here."
Remember that the creator of these movies released them in this order for very good reasons! Don't question that. Some huge plot twists would have been ruined if you watched the prequels before this movie.
He did. He started withe ep4 because he thought it would be the cheapest to produce. No other reason. (In Hollywood money is always the controlling factor.)
And they work best in release order simply because it is release order. The prequels are informed by the original trilogy. And that's fine.
Luke : "I'm not afraid!"
Yoda : "You will be... you WILL be..."
Aria C : "I don't cry that easy."
Yoda : "You will... you WILL..."

Yes, this is the order you should have watched these in.
1. Original Trilogy : SW (1977), TESB (1980), ROTJ (1983)
2. Prequel Trilogy : Episode I TPM (1999), Episode II AOTC (2002), Episode III ROTS (2005)
3. "A Star Wars Story" Films : Solo (2018), Rogue One (2016)
4. Original Trilogy SE : Episode IV ANH (1997), Episode V TESB (1997), Episode VI ROTJ (1997) (or the subsequent re-releases of your choice from 2004, 2006, 2011, 2015)
5. Sequel Trilogy : Episode VII TFA (2015), Episode VIII TLJ (2017), Episode IX TROS (2019)

One thing they did, here, was replace the footage of Anakin Skywalker, once he was part of the Force, with the actor who played him in _Episode II_ and _Episode III._ Before they did that, the image we saw, there, of him was the actor who played the Darth Vader we saw when Luke finally took off his _mask._
So it's kind off _odd_ that they would update _Anakin Skywalker_ but not also _Obi-Wan Kenobi._

Can't wait for the prequel series uploads.

The scene where yoda is dying is still the saddest scene in the movie
It’s too bad that I missed you by 2 hours for Machete Order, but ultimately, it’s not important which order you watch in. The important part is that you watch and enjoy them, which you clearly are.
There’s a lot of content out there now. Chronologically, Star Wars goes:
1 2
Clone Wars Series
3
Bad Batch (Clone Wars) Series
Kenobi Series
Solo
Rogue One
4 5 6
Mandalorian
7 8 9
Do be aware that Star Wars fans can be very assertive about how you will enjoy “their” Star Wars.
I know I would find myself watching ep 6 again after the prequels😂
watch 6 after 3?
(you probably know what i'm about to say. :) )
if only there was some.....order.....to make that happen.....
i know i know. just kidding. but: child-of-the-70s converted machete-order fan, checking in, here. (I was introduced to the idea by comedian Patton Oswald on a late night interview)
one of the quiet pulls of the machete order that i love is that right after Empire, nearly everyone is thinking the same thing:
"his father?! his FATHER?!
who IS this Darth Vader guy?
What's HIS story?
All thoughts of the rebel alliance and Han take a back seat. Right when you're most curious, the machete order gives you what you want most. HIS story.
Solo technically happens before the Obi-Wan Kenobi series -- at least, according to Disney Plüs's Chronological Order playlist. They happen in the same year -- ten years following Episode III.
19:38 "Your _friends_ are walking into a _trap,_ as is your rebel fleet."
The Emperor and Darth Vader are not aware of the Ewoks. Fortunate that Luke is not aware of them _either._
Thanks for including the greatest meme in all of Star Wars.... It's a Trap!!!
This is the best order to watch the star wars!
For those who care, the best recommended watching order is :
Find the ORIGINAL theatrical releases of the Original Trilogy (OT) from 1977, 1980, 1983.
The importance of this if for a couple of reasons :
🙂
If you are so inclined to check out the limited series : Obi-Wan Kenobi, (after SW Episode 3 ROTS), The Book Of Boba Fett and The Mandalorian (in that order, after SW Episode 6 ROTJ), I highly recommend them.
The animated stuff is okay but it's rather vast (too many seasons and serials to keep up with and/or get through), and the modelling is a little goofy. 😛
I think that Tarzan The Fearless movie had an actor named Buster Crabbe
Looking forward to seeing your reactions for Episodes 1 to 3 and Rouge One.

That was the most shocked I have ever been watching a movie

20:30 Oh Aria, Don't blame yourself.😗
Blame the Emperor! 😏
10:00 "Leia!"
"Really?"
Oh, yes. Big reveals, like this, about people who've been there since _Episode IV_ play a big role in maintaining novelty as _well._
25:53 And herein lies the biggest twist of _all._ This is a scene the _entire series_ has been building to.
