The chorus feels so intoxicating with C tuning. I think it draws me in somewhere then slams me at the end of it. Amazing what a tuning drop can do to a song
@@GenX_Dave yes they do. Live, they play all the songs half step down (Eb for the songs in E, D for the songs in Eb ecc…), except for the load/reload songs. In that era, they started playing half step down both in studio and live, so they still play those in Eb (and not D)

Grew up on Pantera but never gave Metallica a chance and DAMN, was I wrong to avoid them. Currently going through the first 5 albums for the first time and it makes total sense why they're the biggest metal band ever. Meshuggah is still my favorite, but I understand why they were a Metallica clone when they started.
