We present the second installment of our session with The Amazing Devil, recorded at Gerry's Club in London.
"Not Yet / Love Run" is the closing track from last year's debut album. While nominally a song in two parts it has many shifts in tone ranging from intimate and minimal to soaring and rich with vocal interplay from Joey and Madeline.

@@kieransaul2711 I believe that they are referring to the fact that the guitar player + lead male singer plays Jaskier the Bard in the Netflix tv show. Did a damn good job too. I will admit though, that the music does sound very Witcher-y.

I love how, during the transition between not yet and love run, they say "let the sea birds cry" as a callback to King and "don't turn 'round, darling" as a callback to Pruning Shears. Excuse me while I write a 20-page-paper on the connections between all the Amazing Devil's songs

THIS! I mostly listen to them in the car on the commute to work (which is an hour) and whenever i find a new connection i LOSE my mind lol
I just now watched the lyrics video for "Blossoms" from their newest album, and the lyrics show the backing vocals singing "love, run" while Joey sings the leading vocals and I just stared at my screen slack-jawed for a minute. Like, what?!? They are lyrical GENIUSES

I'm completely, madly in love with Joey's voice and that's how I ended up here and now I'm completely madly in love with this band. It's so different and special, moreover, the way both voices harmonized is just... beautiful and the lyrics are so unique. Now they have here a Spanish fan! Waiting impatiently for the new album!

@@vanyelwolfshadow8276 It’s absolutely insane how well their voices complement each other. There’s one song where they each song separate verses at the same time, and it shouldn’t work at all, but it freaking DOES and I still don’t even get how.
The timing in this is extraordinary. There is a LOT of talent required from the musicians involved. I've listened to it three times now and almost have the time signatures worked out, but this is NOT an easy song. My cap off to the performers. Especially Madeline's amazing wail of agony, pure poetry. Amazing character work. I remain reminded of the Civil Wars, pray god this band continues making music for far longer.

Same! I listened to them once and didn't get too into it, then months later I still had a tune stuck in my head so I gave them another chance and... Well. I don't know what I was thinking, this song gives me life.

I just discovered The Amazing Devil but I've been listening to this song on repeat for days now ... it came on Spotify as I was walking in the woods and it just hit me, especially the line "everyone knows sex is better when you're unemployed" .... the intensity of the music and the windy, cloudy day was honestly magical
Of all they did, this is probably my favorite couple of songs.
i wish i understood more about music because i know there’s probably endless amounts of technical stuff beneath the surface of this song, but for now i will remain absolutely blown away at madeline and joey’s emotion in their voices ❤❤

It's amazing how each time when I go trough this video I fall in love with the new things. Music is just awesome but it's also incredibly interesting to see them working all together and emotion dynamics as a group and as each of them have personally. Perfect 'living moment' picture - that's the beauty of music and that's why it reminds me of so many fragile concepts.
