Well done Christian. I have a similar story. I did my first solo 14 months ago, new years eve 2019/2020 I decided recently to come back and finish my licence. My first flight back last week, I thought I would be absolute rubbish, but I found I wasnt that bad. Weird when it takes you a bunch of flights to get hovering down. You think you'd lose it but no.

Very cool. Thanks for posting something inspiring for those of us closer to square 1.
"Can you put your hands on the controls?" Classic, I know how that feels.

Meshi it been nice to see how he would've acted during a engine failure or a auto rotation procedure in the helicopter

He made me promise not to do a forced approach on the first flight back :)

@@BCHelicopters if I was going through the training to be a pilot I would want you to do forced landings so I'll be good at it when I need to be at it too especially after I lean how to operate the helicopter pretty good too

Wow that's incredible. Is this typical??? I have been grounded for nearly two years but am about to get back in the saddle, am I likely to expect very similar results in getting it all back??

I went 4 years from school to employed flying. It’s a little shaky for the first hour but comes back quick man don’t worry!

@@charliemarren8724 Thanks man, I appreciate the comment. That's good news, as I don't have a lot of money getting back up to speed...

@@HeliHolic no worries! I’d brush up on ground knowledge and knowing your aircraft you’ll train in for the company your working for. If they are training you then you’ve already passed the “test” and they’ll put in the extra flight time for your training if required... best of luck and happy flying!
