This is super neat! I was having issues with the flame being so strong right under my meat, I feel like this will really help spread out that heat and not give Direct flame to my pork butt, etc.. Thank you again buddy for always helping us out.
Money saving tip... I just put wood splits directly over the firepot that dont let the heat to raise directly up. Only ever featured it on a jerky short, but it works amazing. Just block the direct heat and turn the timer down between burns to 9 instead of default 4 and heat is nice and even.
So is that supposed to even out or spread out the heat better? Because with that in, it defeats the purpose of being able to use the sear feature... not that you use that feature all the time. I'm just wondering why you'd need that?
its so the heat isnt hitting directly on the heat plate curating a hot spot in one spot.. then you can put a pork butt right on top of the fire pot instead of off to 1 side, it must be removed to use the sear setting
@@ScottysBackYardBBQ I just bought the Pit boss Classic Saturday from Walmart, tonight's ribs turned out great, 225 degrees plus or minus 5 degrees all day

Cool accessory....but one question though will you have to remove it when you're have to sear a steak? Cheers!
Yes iwill have to be removed
This was the most oddly hypnotic video. I have no Idea what point was tried to be made.
thank you. was just showing what the flame tamer was and what it does,
you like me todo a more detailed video.?
Looks like it will do the job Scotty! Cheers 🍻
It sure does
Does it help control the temp better ?
@carsonw7229 No, I don't think so. But it keeps the bottom of the protein from burn of over cooking on long cooks.
It should work, looks like it's very nicley built
i think so. i be tossing on a pork butt soon try it out
Did you notice a big difference with that ?
Not a big difference
Good idea but I probably don’t need one… Thanks for the info!!👍😎👍
