A few people have pointed out a great technic stand. You can see the instructions here: rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-10219/Lucioswitch81/effermans-vertical-stand-for-millennium-falcon-75192
BrickPicker I need your help! I'm planning on building my millennium falcon pretty soon but I'd like to purchase my Coffee table before hand. Any suggestions on where I can buy one at? Stores or online. Thank you and much appreciated!
There's a MOC stand that someone designed thats very easily brink-linked for around $55, and it matches LEGOs own style by using technic beams. It's the best way to mount this thing that i've seen.
I've never seen your videos before, but I just got a suggestion to see it (I've just bought my Falcon a month ago and can't wait to build it). I just want to say thank you so much, and I really appreciate the advice you're throwing out here; truly going to take it into account before building... in fact, probably going to build the coffee table first before the set!
Mines mounted on the wall with 2 thick copper wires through the wall bracket and the 2 central technic pieces. Rock solid and I have some small blobs of blu tack holding the loose panels in place. It looks so much better on the wall.
I hope that someone makes a display set that looks like the front of the Galaxy's Edge Smuggler's Run ride entrance with the Millennium Falcon on the place where it'd normally be next to the entrance.
I left my set in Chicago with my dad im all the way in texas so i think its best if i just get a new one and i do also want to display it from the ceiling in a angle
I've hung my small Millennium Falcon using fishing wire and it works pretty well but I don't know that I would hang anything heavier than that. I just would not feel comfortable hanging something this large. I'm going to go with the Technic stand someone designed. I love the coffee table idea but I'm not going to have room as I'm building a custom coffee table in to build and display my ten thousand piece puzzle on.
If I ever get this set id probably do the coffee table idea, now a really cool way to do that is make interior look like either the mos eisly spaceport, inside of the space slug, or hoth hanger.
as as expensive as this was ... its a great playset actually ... i finished mine after 4 days. really want to be able to access the bottom and the top.
Though it’s made of plastic, LEGO is incredibly strong. I don’t think there should be a problem with long time hanging. I doubt it will come apart. There is a reason LEGO is so much better than the competition ;)
"I hope you have some idea what your gonna do with it before you start building it" Me: Yes I definitely did that, my parents ask me every day when it's gonna get off the kitchen table.
I dont think i would dare hang the UCS Falcon up like that. The frame looked like flexed alot more than when it was supported in the center bottom just as it was put down the first time with the suspended demonstration. Probably safer to go for the coffeetable option or a semi free hanging shelf with enough support on the underside.
You say you won't take this apart but I can't find anywhere or anyone that can give me a solid answer on what glue to use for a more permanent build.... Have you seen the fall test for this thing? its all bad so I'm not one to normally glue a set but since I will own this forever then I'm considering it! any suggestions would be great.
Cant believe how flim2it seems. Its £100 off atm and was tempted, but given how huge it is and how much flex it gives im not too manic about getting it.
My teenage sister wanted to take a selfie with mine but ended up breaking it. I was so upset at first but then I remembered that she would have to pay for it. I said i bought it for more then I did l, so I got enough money from her to buy this and the tantive iv!!! Honestly not too bothered about having to build them over again because thats one of my favourite part. We also bought a glass coffee table to put both of the built sets in as a display. Remember people, you have to loose to gain.
I love your Millennium Falcon videos. I just finish building mine and I was thinking of putting it in an acrylic case to keep the dust off because if I hung it dust would collect on the model, and I wouldn't want it to loose resale value. Could you make a video on how to dust these big sets?
Titanic was a fun build .totally hated helping my son build this the falcon .ATAT 2:38 had a few spots were it was boring .but the falcon was the worst one I have ever helped build .and yes we’re do you put it it’s huge
Can anyone tell me how tall it is from the bottom to top w/o the legs (counting and it counting dish)? I have a coffee table with about 6 inches of clearance between the base and a glass top. Specs say it is 8 inches tall so wondering if it would fit if I laid it on it's belly and removed lower gun turret and legs. I was fortunate enough to get one but haven't started building yet.
Captpicard another tip, if you bought this set solely to keep it sealed and sell it on for mega bucks to a genuine collector then you’re a fucking scumbag. Don’t do that
I have a small collection of Lego UCS (still boxed) which I am still deciding on where to store when I build them. I have the new UCS Falcon, Tie Fighter, Red 5 X-Wing, Slave 1 and am thinking about the new Snow Speeder. One idea was to purchase a tall glass display cabinet however this would not be able to hold the Falcon which means I would need two solutions. Another idea that I had seen online is using a study desk with hutch. The hutch shelves can be used to store the smaller models and the desk surface for the falcon. I was even thinking of getting a Acrylic case for where the falcon would sit on the desk and possibly putting glass doors on the hunch to keep dust away. If anyone is doing this I would love to hear your feedback.
I would not trust string or wire even if it’s indestructible with a £900 set, I wouldn’t even put it on a shelf I’d either put it on the table, in a coffee table or on the floor
I have had this set since day one, but I haven't built it yet. The more I see of it in videos like this, the more I feel the set is rather flimsy. They really should have found a way to attach the panels a lot more securely.
honestly i totally disagree with the coffee table idea, simply because of the set being way to detailed to be stored like that. I "stored" mine by putting it on a small table that sits on a bigger table...and yes indeed, i improvised. Like this how ever, it is at shoulder hight, meaning you also can take a look at the underside, which is in fact detailed enough to be showed so to speak.
"NOW it really is a play set! rrrrerrrr we can fly this thing around pew pew pew! Right? An $800 play set I got here!" lol HECK YEAH DUDE that gets a like from me!
It's for kids ..!!! ..at that price I'd want some massive play time ... ! Dad's make it kids play with it those are the rules it's lego! Get a bloody bandi kit thing ! Cheaper by about 200 quid

I was about to suggest that, glad you already found it :)

Bilto
If it's not going to be taken apart again why not superglue sections together? Then it can also be taken apart in large parts to store if required.
Coffee Table is by far the best/coolest Display Idea. Im doing that.
Watching this video made me buy mine. Can't wait to unbox and get it displayed.
i really like the coffee table idea 😎
That's what I'm doing with mine once it's built
Chris did you end up getting that?
There's a MOC stand that someone designed thats very easily brink-linked for around $55, and it matches LEGOs own style by using technic beams. It's the best way to mount this thing that i've seen.
It's good for this thing to sit low. It's interesting to look at from the top and sides. It's not fun to look at from the bottom.
Sergey Chapaev its fun to look at from every angle, its a masterpiece

OH GOD NO DONT HANG THE 800$ LEGO SET
Fishing line FTW !!!!
I have a $7000 tv hanging from my wall 🤷♂️🤷♂️ - What the difference?
One is more valuable to Lego Star Wars fans
One of the first vids I watched on your channel. I think your doing a great job, keep going!
I left my set in Chicago with my dad im all the way in texas so i think its best if i just get a new one and i do also want to display it from the ceiling in a angle

This is such a great review! I love your idea,of the hanger
Me and every Lego fan looking at the thumbnail can only heavily breath
Holly shit this a dream come true hahaha.... I had no idea what to do with mine until now
That flex killed the idea of even getting this. I may look for the 10xxx version.
Though it’s made of plastic, LEGO is incredibly strong. I don’t think there should be a problem with long time hanging. I doubt it will come apart.

trust me some parts bend after a few months
"I hope you have some idea what your gonna do with it before you start building it"
Me: Yes I definitely did that, my parents ask me every day when it's gonna get off the kitchen table.
started building mine last night, i plan to keep it in a display case under my table that has my lego city

Take a shot every time he says "right"

I have mine suspended from the ceiling on fishing line, along with all my other lego star wars sets, looks great.
Archaeonomy can you explain hownyou attatched to the ceiling?

I use a can of compressed air to clean my UCS sets every other week.
Titanic was a fun build .totally hated helping my son build this the falcon .ATAT 2:38 had a few spots were it was boring .but the falcon was the worst one I have ever helped build .and yes we’re do you put it it’s huge
I have one how should I display it let me know ?
Make a glass coffee table display for it
The amount of space I saved with a vertical stand was amazing. I can't remember the name of it but I got it from kingdom bricks
Dam right .. i built it and now no wear to put it 😅 ... and its really fragile
What about transparent thin, yet strong, pipes to hold it up?
legit thought this was Jim from Friday night dinner

im exited for mine
Im waiting for it to come back into stock on Lego :/
Me too... neverending waiting :D
Patrik Šlégr that will be this month or December but for a fact it would not be January
It came it stock in the USA I got it!
Indeed.. I had the web page open on every electronic device I own and would refresh the page several times a day. Finally got one today! =D
Congrats man, I got mine right before Christmas and built in 16 hours.
I bought my second millennium falcon yesterday
Weird flex but ok
What about resting it on some L picture frame stands? That would be near vertical, but not quite.
Probably not a good idea because the edge panels are not held on that securely. The weight needs to be carried by the internal technic frame.
BrickPicker so what about somewhat modding the sides so more of the technic supports are bearing the weight?
But where would you put the coffee table...
In the middle of your living room, you fucking twonk.
Mine is still unopened, with shipping box unopened, protecting the box so it is mint in box, I’ll store it and sell it in about 5 years time.
Captpicard Just a tip though that it won’t end up near as worth as the old one got to.
Captpicard another tip, if you bought this set solely to keep it sealed and sell it on for mega bucks to a genuine collector then you’re a fucking scumbag. Don’t do that
i played the long game, did you sell it? and was it worth anything more been 5 years now lol :)
tbh, if I ever manage to afford this, idk if I even will build it and display it, it costs £650, I might just keep it sealed in its box
Right?
How about super glue some of the parts together taking the flex out......
Rick Jones dont glue your legos please

this came in handy for mine i just finished it i took me 3 days

Totoro I have it. It’s not flimsy. The panels come off easily but not too easily. I was surprised at its rigidity
The Holes in the Front are wrong. The 2 Holes in the Right are the same in your Build.
$1299 here in Australia
Fishing wire would be more ideal than strings.
That is if I even _get_ the thing
Tomas Gonzales Yup. It seems Lego really doesn't want my $800.
He says it's not for compulsive people but I'm compulsive and I build Lego a lot, I even calculated this would take me a total 14 hours to build...
Survivory Tube I just bought this set and am at 11.5 hours of build time and I just finished the 5th set of bags out of 17...
honestly i totally disagree with the coffee table idea, simply because of the set being way to detailed to be stored like that.

I’m gonna get a dedicated table
Great vid!
Looks cool, maybe too big though
I build it in 2 days
Lighting for your UCS Falcon here - ruclips.net/video/nSxVv5dfThk/видео.html
You should change this title to be "how not to display your millennium falcon"
Step 1: be able to afford a UCS millennium falcon
Brave
"NOW it really is a play set! rrrrerrrr we can fly this thing around pew pew pew! Right? An $800 play set I got here!" lol HECK YEAH DUDE that gets a like from me!
You lost me when you said you were gonna box it up again
why this guy look like Mark Hamill
It took 2 and a half days for me and I’m 15
It bent so bad tho
Smile more family cord
I waited 5 months
I display mine in the orig box, unbuilt. 👍
That's fun!
LMAO!! Pew pew pew ;-)
No one wants to hang it
Pas un jouet
This terrifies me and you should never do this.
It’s funny you think a 16 year old with no job can buy a $800 Lego set 😂😂
Thanks for literally nothing
It's for kids ..!!! ..at that price I'd want some massive play time ... ! Dad's make it kids play with it those are the rules it's lego! Get a bloody bandi kit thing ! Cheaper by about 200 quid
