Now one thing that I’ve always liked about the Boondocks is that you NEVER know which lines were based in reality or not.
Because even the “booty bandit” (you know who I’m talking about) was actually based on a real person, who, in a prison documentary, actually said things like “booty was more important than water”.

@A Great Man Named Lieu ok and why should she? It’s unrealistic for an 8 year old to care about social issues, but they will still be influenced by other cultures. Everybody in this show is a satire of certain types characters
Aaron Mcgruder was a genius ..... The first 3 seasons are timeless masterpieces lol .....
people always talk about his subject manner and lessons but I like the subtle sad happy or humanity in scenes like when sarah said I told you nothing good would come from those white woman and huey says it makes you wonder why we even bother with niggas but their our people and we gotta love them regardless.... how we get the characters backstory like robert and ruckus..you see where they come from and why say huey and riley are the way they are because robert is a man whose kinda tired of it all after helping the civil right movement but he also was pretty scarred not totally willing to do the work and in the end more about the fame then the cause and now hes just over it all tired trying to enjoy his last few years in peace doing a good thing for his grandkids by bringing them in out of the ghetto to raise them right and with ruckus being beat as a kid while being whitewashed by his mom made him hate his kind...it just makes sense..
This is more relevant than when it came out.
O.K., well it was more relevant a few months back, when people were actually trying to justify what he did, but still.
