The TVC presenter has misled viewers with his FALSE statement at 14:10 onwards and I am surprised Mr Isama has feigned ignorance. Ojukwu's main concern was safety for Igbos being butchered across the country, also the fact that since Maj. gen Ironsi had been killed the next most senior army officer was Brig General Ogundipe who mysteriously was no where to be found when he should have taken over. If Ojukwu harboured any such ambitions then he would have not been instrumental in suppressing the first coup in the North. How do I know this? I was fortunate enough to have met the late Lt. The Sardauna Ahmadu Bello coined the phrase HausaFulani, so the caliphate used both the hausa and islam to weild political power. Middle belt and the Kanuris had always been against the caliphate. Sani Abacha is a kanuri by origin but born in kano and speaks hausa fluently, adopted kano as his state of origin.
