- this was just such a wild and weird ride??? no epis for years and then the whole season aired in four days? which i am not especially happy about, to be honest (i honestly can not really believe that there was new content with these two, and that it's over again)
i am also going to pretend that like half of the last episode didn't happen (because??? c'mon, what was that????)
i also just realized that i've never vidded them outside of multifandom stuff? over the years?????
& have another song i've saved up for them, so i'll most probably vid them again in the future :))

He lied to her even though she told him "Of all the people in the world. I'm the one who will never betray you" and she never did.
Never though i would fall in love with an unhealthy relationship.

She deeply loved him and it was just too sad that he couldn't bring himself to say it as he struggled to hold on to her and keep her from falling.
justathoughtaway I think deep down he’s a “copper” first, and he knows she’s guilty of murdering her parents...that’s why he’s never stepped up as a lover...which is wonderful.. their love affair would’ve ruined it for the audience..it’d have made Luther look like a hopeless romantic & that’s not what the makers are aiming for!
Alice, for the first time in her life, loved someone. She had multiple opportunities to kill him in those last scenes but she couldn’t bring herself to do it. He broke her heart when he lied to her. Clyde betrayed Bonnie!
It was always going to end badly... didnt mean you kind of wished otherwise. He was her only weakness. She was never going to change and he was never going to stop caring. But man did they burn hot and bright ...
i am not so convinced that it was always gonna end badly, even with neither of them changing completely (they did both change a lot, though, over the seasons)
True but Luther was always going to be a cop going after bad guys. That scene in the holiday home where he was watching the news about those murders and Alice trying to convince him not to care. John was always going to care, no matter what. Zoe said it to Alice he was driven to . Her expression on the sofa when he got up and left after their argument. Alice knew she was losing him. Both were changing but he would never stop being John Luther , man who feels too much and driven to the hunt the bad guys . She would always be Alice Morgan, sociopath who only cares for her and John. That was never going to change thats why it ended why it did.
Alice is to John what Catwoman is to Batman or Irene Adler to Sherlock Holmes.
They both knew neither was going to change for the other unless they truly admitted that they did love each other and if they had then Alice might have stopped being Alice and John might have stopped being John which is not what either wanted they both fell in love with the broken person the other was and they could only work if they were those broken people to their core.
Even at the end she knew she could not kill him and he could not let her go.
I refuse to believe she is dead, mostly because she's been dead before, i hope they give us a sixth series with the power dynamic reversed where he is the locked up criminal and she's the one to break him out.

one thing has to be said, BBC is really good at making this toxic co dependent relationships almost look like Endgame, Alice Morgan and John Luther, Villanelle and Eve and so on, man they hit right in the feels.
I love this show and I especially love Idris Alba and Ruth Wilson's scenes together. They are amazing actors!
Ok no no, just so no. I did not need this yet I needed it SO badly, and now I'm torn between loving you and hating you for this! Firstly I thought I'd suffered enough after that finale then I see this, and the pain just keeps on coming. Secondly Alice is not dead, no she didn't die in some ridiculous fall. There was no blood and nothing shown after that of any kind up grave or even her body being moved so no. If for some reason they don't bring her back next season I will continue on with the belief that I've had since season 3 ended, that John and Alice are off traveling the world and righting wrongs vigilante style and seasons 4 and 5 were nothing but strange fever dreams John had. I'm not even joking, these two are endgame

I have some evidence that could mean that season 5 atleast was a dream!! Has anybody else noticed that in a couple of episodes the time s seems a bit weird? Here is some examples that I have noticed: in series 5 episode 1 Halliday and the old guy leave the police station late at night but they don't get there until the morning. In that episode it would make sense that that was the last episode of Luther's reality because the scene before Alice returns is him sitting at his kitchen table with trying to sleep. Another example that could be nothing but to me it is another reason to believe it was a dream is in the last episode of season 5. Holliday and Luther go into that house with the serial killer in it at what looks to be either dawn or dusk I can't tell but it would make more sense for it to be dawn so lets go with that. Anyway they walk in at dawn and when they come out it looks like the middle of the day!! These are just a couple I noticed but if they felt like revealing that it was all a dream then they would have enough evidence for the audience to believe it.
Also it doesn't seem possible that John would've been able to catch her when she was pushed so far out but I'd.

Unless they do something huge in s6 (if that's ever gonna happen), such as she's not dead but in a coma, and they fix things up between them in some way... Series 3 is where it ends for me. They can't take away that great ending from us anyway :)

Wow! This video absolutely blew me away! As for the finale, I'm still holding out hope for alice because she was ACTING very ooc and Would never kill unless it was carefully planned. Also, a friend and me are coming up with theories and we believe that halliday couldn't be trusted and there is more story there with her and alice. Have you heard of the theory that alice may be one of those soldiers walking out with luther at the end because they weren't wearing a hat?? I think alice is fine and she'll be back. :)
Kimberly Gaugh wow I love this...! Now that you bring it up.. what if Halliday was given a heads up by Erin Gray? The way she came up with, “did you use me as a bait out there?” Was so telling.. and that meant, Halliday could’ve gone on to be the trouble Erin was for Luther.. Erin literally ruined Relationships...probably why, Alice put a bullet on her, to save Luther?

Couldn't the two lovebirds elope to Belgium and enjoy life. Like why would they kill Alice? The show will not be the same without her and I not watching it after either. She's the only interesting character in the show. All others kept changing every season that the show becomes boring.

We don't know for sure if they ever did have sex. They could have been fantasizing about it.
