Wonder Woman does not need elbow pads and a helmet, she is virtually indestructable! In fact, she doesn't need a skateboard either, she could just run after the car and stop it dead! Lynda Carter was great though - she looks damn good on that board :-)

Stunt double riding board and closeups don't show board. The also had her (some stunt double) jump motorcycle to rescue a Lane Kincaid in a Metal Salvage Yard which she wrongly called Junk Yard. Guess Lane Kincaid was sort of long haired Justin Beiber of the day, that also played guitar.

The villians should had knocked Wonder Woman off her skateboard and removed her magic belt to make her powerless, similar to what the rustlers did in "The Bushwackers" when they knocked Wonder Woman off a horse and removed her magic belt. The villians then could had put Wonder Woman into the back of their car and taken her prisoner, and she would had been completely helpless.
