the other question I would have for you Emy: would autodesk organise generic workflow courses for structural engineers? I mean run through a simple project grids A, B,C and 1,2,3 on two levels built in revit, exported in robot, print analysis results, then in advance steel, produce all connections and drawings in advance steel, then exported to navisworks for sequencing. All of this being quite concise rather than going into too many details as to what each of the softwares can do on the side. And if they do such a thing how can I sign up and how much would it cost?

thanks for the webinar Emy Nestor. I have a question: how can the output of drawings be simplified? so I have a two storey steel structure, designed the connections and now I want to create simple drawings such as : grid A south elevation at 1:50 with simple labels for connections, easy to identify which connection is which, and on the same page have just the connections from that grid/elevation. connections being displayed front, top and right for instance?

Hi, tbh I haven't watched all of this the whole way through yet but I was led to believe that the "out of the box" part and assembly drawing capabilities of AS was better than what I've briefly seen here, with parts not contained within the page layout and BOM lists also overhanging the boarder? I currently use tekla and was seriously considering making the switch to AS as the time spent fixing up assembly drawings in Tekla is so time consuming.

Ok, this is an overall model. There is nothing that is 'detailed' about it. Where are 'details' of the fits and connections? All that you have here is are generic fits from commands lines. The man in the shop will be at a loss if he is presented this 'overall model' you have shown here. He will need 'detailed' sketches or dwgs that display the fits with dimensions, bevels, material type and location.
