She’s like a burst of energy. She’s singing in her living room and she brings the damn house down. We need more of her in all things
I love Sutton! She is so simplistic and amazing
I agree, but I think maybe you meant "simple" (natural, unaffected) rather than "simplistic".
@@coeurnaif "Simplistic" generally has a negative connotation, but I am not sure if it technically has to. In the most neutral sense it basically means to make something more simple than it is, which usually means it is leaving out important details, but conceivably in some contexts there could be a charm to that, like that something simplistic makes something simple that you wouldn't normally expect to be simple, and maybe that could be appealing. It might leave out details that one would normally consider important, but if it's done for artistic reasons then there could be something charming and unique about it.
It's splitting hairs of course, but I just found it interesting. While "simplistic" usually has a negative connotation, calling her "simple" itself seems like a bit of an underwhelming descriptor. But if you say "simplistic," you know for sure the person is taking an active part into making something simple, at the cost of losing some benefits of interesting complexities that may be lost in that. But something extra simple can still have its own kind of charm in some contexts. Anyway it was just interesting because even though "simplistic" isn't normally positive, I can see how it can imply more effort to make something simple than if you just described them as "simple," so to my brain I can imagine "simplistic" to possibly be something positive. "Simplistic" usually implies oversimplification, simplifying more than one "should," but I am not sure that it absolutely has to, it could just mean simplifying more than it is natural or common to, perhaps. Oh well, just some random musings about English on my part :)
She has been my savior during quartine I’ve been listening non stop to all the musicals she’s in for the past 2 months😬💖😅
RIGHT
Sutton is GENUINE x
Came here to celebrate Sondheim's life. He, with his archangels like Sutton, has elevated all of us humans, for a moment, to the divine.
The literal embodiment of perfection. My queen
Yes, I am looking forward to her comeback as Marion the Librarian in Music Man🎺
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSs
“It’s not a comeback! It’s a return!”
I love her so much.
1 dislike!?!! WHO THE HELL DOESNT LIKE MY QUEEN?!
no one can unanimously please everyone. That 's what is cool with art... what matters is that YOU enjoyed. :-)

This is such an amazing performance!
MORE. SUTTON. 🙏
Gorgeous voice. Gorgeous woman
How versatile. She's unrecognisable from her performance in Anything Goes.
Absolutely incredible. Wow. She is a straight killer.
You are soooo AMAZING
Those smug little men with their smug little schemes
They forgot one thing:
The play isn't over by a long shot yet!
There are heroes in the world,
Princes are heroes in the world,
And one of them will save us.
Wait and see!
Wait and see!
There won't be trumpets or bolts of fire
To say he's coming.
No Roman candles, no angels' choir,
No sound of distant drumming.
He may not be the cavalier,
Tall and graceful, fair and strong.
Doesn't matter, just as long as he comes along!
But not with trumpets or lightning flashing
Or shining armor.
He maybe daring, he may be dashing,
Or maybe he's a farmer.
We can wait, what's another day?
He has lots of hills to climb.
And a hero
Doesn't come till the nick of time!
Don't look for trumpets or whistles tooting
To guarantee him!
There won't be trumpets, but sure as shooting
You'll know him when you see him!
Don't know when, don't know where,
And I can't even say that I care!
All I know is, the minute you turn
And he's suddenly there,
There won't be trumpets!
There are no trumpets!
Who needs trumpets?
LOVE SUTTON!!!!!
Hello from the future, how fucking wonderful is this?
I love her! I just covered this on my channel cuz I love it and Stephen Sondheim passing away has had a huge impact on remembering all the songs I loved and haven’t practiced in years hahah
2:02 or 2:22-2:52
I can just see how frustrated she is that the pre-recorded track isn't following the tempo she is feeling in the moment. In the opening, she's practically screaming, "Come on, piano, MOVE IT!"
Hearing this after Joe Biden declared president HITS DIFFERENT!
