This is a LOVELY idea and I've been doing it for a long time. My issue? I"m not gonna say laziness. But. When I get NEW Stencils I'm not consistent with continuing. AND putting them BACK after I use them. Sigh. I'm loving your organization posts!
I can totally relate and that’s something I struggle with, too. I am trying to find ways not only to organize my room, but to also keep it that way! 😂 If I come up with good tips I will definitely share them in a video!
Yes please - a video on Airtable. I'm fairly new to card making and I'd like to start using this while my supplies are few. Love your videos. Thank you so much!
I like the way you think! I've done a similar binder system to see my diecut s and stampsets! I stamp or do the diecut and attach to a binder page. The number on the page is the number on my diecut or stampset that I store in drawers. It helps when I am trying to design and I can check what I could use based on my current supply 🙂
Oh my Laura! You are a genius! Thanks so much for sharing your organisation videos ( I just viewed your stamp/fridge bin tips video). Yes please....could you please do a video about how to navigate the Airtable app! I’d love to use it, but am a visual learner! 🥰
I have been looking everywhere to find small plastic sleeves, because I have this idea for a long time. But I haven’t found it yet. I would use black or dark papers for a better contrast. Airtable is also awesome, but takes soooo much time to fill airtable 😅. But it is indeed a timesaver for searching yoyr stasj and for inspiration and indeed for buying new stuff. So handy when you are in a store and you can look if you already have it. Thanks for this video 🥰🤗
You can look for the Simple Stories sleeves, they may be easier to find in Europe. And yes, colored paper will make it easier to see the patterns, I may switch to it later and use the white sheets that I would be replacing with my Avery Elle pockets. As for Airtable, I am creating my database little by little, so it doesn’t get too overwhelming. :) Thanks so much for watching!
Thank you! I have so many stencils and they are a mess. This sounds like a great solution for my organizational heart. It is always lovely to see your sweet face. I hope you are doing well.
yes please! I downloaded Airtable and still haven't used it...because, well just hate to have to read up on it...but, I would love to be able to listen to you :)
This is a good solution, I have mine in one of the table top office drawers and it's ok but I'm gradually moving lots of my storage to folders where possible. With my failing eyesight I would change out the white paper for a coloured piece though to better see the designs when flicking through. thank you for the tips, most appreciated.
“Buy with awareness!” 😂😂😂 that’s something us crafty girls don’t know the meaning of 😂 it’s a pleasure to play with our crafty toys, create, and buy new supplies 😂 Loved your idea for storing stencils. Thank you very much! Hugs and blessings from Miami.
I use airtable as well. I cataloged all my stamps and my inks so I didnt buy things I already had. The stamps are now easy to search for like things ocean or sea related by using the keywords
Ciao Laura grazie dei consigli! Concordo con te e credo proprio che catalogherò i materiali con l’app!! Grazie! In bocca al lupo per tutto, un abbraccio
Great idea for the stencils 😊 Definitely interested in learning more about Airtable and am in need of a program that is user friendly! I have way too much stuff, which is frustrating sometimes, looking for and remembering what I have and to avoid purchasing doubles of stamps and dies! Thanks for sharing and I look forward to learning more. Cheers, 😊💕
Thank you! And I feel you - I am starting to lose track of what I have and Airtable is a green way to overcome this! I will make a video about it for sure! Thanks for watching! 💖✨
Such a great idea! I don’t have many stencils, so I don’t need a full binder, but I could use a folder with sheet protectors like I do for my paper scraps. Thanks for helping me think outside the box! I will have to check out air table. I had never heard of it and I think it could be very helpful!
I use a notebook and page protectors. As I am not buying anything new. I try to use what I have. I will look into the app as the sounds very useful!!! Thanks for sharing!! Hope you are doing well. :)
I've been keeping my stencils in a 6x6 totally tiffany stencil holder, but It's getting too full to flip though them to find the stencil I need without taking them all out, so I'm liking your album method. Found AirTable about two years ago and have managed to entered all my stamps, dies and stencils. I love the search function, but wished it was easier to enter new data. I few months back I watched a video by Justine Hobey where she demo a craft product database app called Color My Life. The cool this about this app was that it was created by a scrapbooker and it already had data from some companies in it's database. The apps can even read bars codes, so you don't always have to type the product's info in. I downloaded the app and liked it, but it took me months to get all my stuff entered into AirTable, so I'm not in any big rush to enter my stuff into this new app. According to the company, they will be coming out with an import from AirTable (and other databases) feature, so I'll wait to that. In the meantime, I hope they continue adding more brands to their database.
Thanks Mary! I definitely find flipping through my stencils quite easy with this method! I heard about Color My Life, it sounds pretty cool, but I was looking for something that would be free. In this sense Airtable seemed very cool and so far I am really enjoying it! Thanks so much for watching and for your comment! 💖✨
Laura! This video is brilliant. I have always resisted the binder organization method for some reason but you have convinced me that it is the way to go. Thank you!
Thank you, Tiffany! I think it’s really cool and for me it works better than having them in bins (which is how I stored them before moving to the ring binders). It’s much easier to flip though them this way!
Thanks for sharing this video and the stamp storage one...just downloaded AirTable so looking forward to seeing a video as I am confused on even starting..
I love stencils and embossing folders. I wish a company would do a monthly subscription for them and products to go with stenciling/embossing. There are so many products on the market to create a monthly package surrounding stenciling and embossing.
Brilliant! I use the same binders and I love them! I love your dividers and I think I might copy you (sometime in the next century 😂. I am in need for more crafting time!). Hope you are feeling better ❤️❤️
I cant say thank you enough time for this video! THIS was the video I needed! I Stored mine stencils like you with a printed cardstock inside, with but no category. Ohh and your dividers??? I just love love love them! And the app you recommended is a must have as I see :D ! Thank you thank you thank you and I can't wait your next video you! You re amazing! Keep on shining! :)
Hi! I use something similar. I have hundreds of stencils and I am using it in the last 2 years. I store stencils in a presentation folder, but I found that if you use colour card in the pouch you can see easier the patterns of the stencils. I initially used white but I didn’t like it as much as coloured paper/ card stock
I just started doing this! I love seeing how you organize yours. Right now I just have mine by company so I can quickly look before I buy and not get a duplicate. I got this app but then it felt complicated to use. I would be interested in a tutorial.
OMG you're so organized my stencils are a huge mess and I probably will never have it like that. I have big 12x12 ones too and way too many lol. but that app is interesting I'd love to know more about it.
Lol well let’s see how long I manage to keep things looking tidy. 😂 Will definitely talk more about Airtable! Thanks for watching and your comment, my friend 💖✨
I use Sortly for my inventory, but it's only a paid subscription for 250+ items now, unfortunately. I have the app synced on my phone/ipad and on my laptop(web only). I love that I can check it when I'm out and it has stopped me from buying duplicates, items that are too similar to what I already have or things that I previously destashed because I never used them. I particularly like that last one as I would keep making the same mistakes over and over again!
Great idea and I already have several of those exact same binders🙂will just have to get the page protectors. You have such a great sense of humor. This was a fun and informative video. Would love to see the app, I have the Evernote's app, but haven't really used it. It's so daunting to try to add all my stuff. Wish they had ones with scanners. 😆
Thank you! So happy the video was helpful and enjoyable! I will definitely share more about the App - I find it great! It is a bit of a task to add everything to it, but I am doing it a bit at the time. If I add supplies at a faster rate than I buy them, I will get there eventually 😂
You're so awesome, Laura! I love watching you and all you're great tips. I started using Airtable too and I have some of my Christmas stamps catalogued. I would love to see how you organize yours. 😁
Dear Laura, how are you feeling? I have been trying to find the time to talk with you about your MS My daughter also has this debilitating disease and she is also as talented as you, but her hands often keep her from working. My prayers are with both of you
Thanks so much, Sherri. I am sorry to hear about your daughter, and I hope she has more good days than bad days. I am getting better, so that’s good. Hopefully I will keep improving in the next few weeks and months. Crafty hugs to you and your daughter 💖✨
I'd be interested in an Airtable video. I use One Note and my only complaint is I can't see a photo of the image in the search area. I have to click on the entry to see the image.

Great tips chickie!!! I have bigger stencils, but I love this idea for my smaller ones.... 🤔😁😘🎨
Thank you! The largest I could fit are my Canvo stencils, which are a bit taller than 6x8. I don’t have anything larger than that...yet! 😜💖
All the help that I can get is a welcome! I like the binder idea and will use it.
So glad you found the video useful!
Thanks for the tips and the shout out to JD. I miss her---I hope she is okay!
I am not in touch with her but she launched a new channel :)
Super plan for stencils, I must use this to make my life easier, thank you! ⭐️🏆💕
Thanks! It’s a nice way to store them!

Amazing tip Laura 👌🏻 I hope you are feeling better 💐 You are a sunshine ☀️
Aw! Thank you so much!!! 💖💖💖 Yes, things are improving, so that’s positive! Thanks for watching and for your lovely comment! ✨
I would love to see a video on how you use Airtable.
I will happily make one! ☺️
I have started using Airtable, but never finished it 😱 It is a lot of work, where to start 😱. Maybe just with the new things I bought 😅
Me too!!
I love your organisational tips and a video about how to use Airtable would be brilliant! 😊

Ciao Laura, cercavo da un po' un metodo di organizzazione per gli stencil e trovo che il tuo sia semplicemente perfetto. Grazie mille 😘🤗
Grazie, Maria! Sono contenta che il video ti sia stato utile! ✨
Love this idea. I put coloured card stock in the sleeves makes it easier to see the stencil. Could do the same in between embossing folders.
I will probably switch to colored cardstock too down the line. :) And yes, this would work for embossing folders too!
Oh my Laura! You are a genius! Thanks so much for sharing your organisation videos ( I just viewed your stamp/fridge bin tips video). Yes please....could you please do a video about how to navigate the Airtable app! I’d love to use it, but am a visual learner! 🥰

As for Airtable, I am creating my database little by little, so it doesn’t get too overwhelming. :) Thanks so much for watching!
I use the binder idea as well but I’m going to incorporate some of your ideas(laminating the dividers & recategorize by type) TFS❤️👍
Have fun and thanks for watching! 💖
Love this! I use a binder but it’s out of control! 😂 Now I can get more organized!!🤗🌺
Yay!!! 😊😊😊
I would love to see your Airtable Set up Thanks for your great videos

I am going to use this app and the idea for the stencil storage, thank yo so much Laura

Ah and Airtable... I got the idea from JD as well. Working very well, but again... I need more crafting time, I am behind on cataloguing 😰
I hear you...I really like that Airtable can be used from a PC, too. I work much faster that way. :)
i do similar but rather than white papaer I use colured paper for different styles this is so easy to find the style I want
