I live near Buffalo, NY lots of snow. It is zone 6b. My kale even under heavy snow and really cold temps always makes it through the whole winter. They go dormant and quit growing but resume in spring to go to seed. I harvest them sometimes in Dec. and Jan. for soups. I love this crop for my soups. When the sun defrosts them and they are no longer completely frozen is when I harvest a few leaves.
Thats awesome! Kale is such a great crop.
Can’t wait to try the peppers!I have also found herbs and microgreens grow in shade, too!
Thanks for watching! I plan to do a shade video for herbs and for fruit - this one was getting long!
Hope you can do some more videos on cooking things.
I will, I promise! Just waiting for fresh veggies - but Ive been trying out some recipes 😁
