  • Reporter Lee Miller courageously captured the horrors of World War II on film, creating an invaluable photographic record despite major pushback simply because she was a woman. Miller’s remarkable life and career are the subject of the new film "Lee," with Oscar-winning actress Kate Winslet in the title role. Winslet sat down with Christiane in New York to discuss the film.

In these days of men going backwards this is refreshing to hear women leading and being gutsy.

Susan Ahn Cuddy most definitely needs a film chronicling her amazing story.

Very fun to see Christiane interviewing someone playing a war correspondent when she herself was one of the most important correspondents on CNN in Bosnia and Sarajevo. Once I read someone tongue in cheek remarking that "there was C.A. reporting and dodging bullets at the same time." She is a trailblazer herself.

PBS NEWSHOUR you cut off Kate Winslet before she could finish what she was talking about.
