I used to listen to JJ Onkgopotse Tabane on Power FM. He's an excellent political analyst who is not scared to call a spade a spade. Mmusi's resignation was a bittersweet moment. But I understand him. He couldn't continue leading a party that doesn't share his vision, a party that blamed him for their failures, a party which seeks to advance interests of minorities whilst being in oblivious of challenges facing the majority. I salute him for reading between the lines that his time's and departing with his head held high.

In this instance, I largely agree with JJ Tabane's view. (I've always disliked the DA.) However, this shows part of what is seriously wrong with South African media = Journalists and news anchors projecting and publicing views and opinions instead of presenting objective facts and information. Why should anybody care what JJ Tabane's views or opinions are when the better way is to have a media that presents objective facts and information, thus informing the public, so others can formulate their own informed views and opinions. On many occasions, he and many of his colleagues do not know the line between opinion and facts, thus creating a climate of propaganda masquerading as news. They routinely engage in propaganda by bias and propaganda by omission of some critical information. An informed public is a critical component of a well-functioning democracy. A propagandised public harms democracy as it leads to ill-informed decisions by the electorate during elections.
JJ Tabane is definitely smoking (or drinking) something while on line on Newsroom Africa. Editors at that station must be in the same condition NOT to see it. PLEASE wake up people, you are embarrassing yourselves!!!
