- Country Music superstar Wynonna Judd, who is the headliner for the Highway To Hope Benefit Concert, joins us for a special video edition of our special series of podcasts featuring the artists performing during the live virtual event on May 16th. The SCF Podcast interview, which was led by podcast host and SCF Director of Philanthropy and Development Shannon Currier, was one of the first media Q&As with Wynonna since the global pandemic. As you will see and hear, it was an extended conversation that covered a number of interesting topics. While discussing her respect for professional drivers through the interview, Wynonna offered her perspective on being out on the road and away from home, which shares many of the same emotions experienced by truckers behind the wheel. For the interview with Wynonna, Shannon was joined on the podcast by Donna Horton, a member of the Radio Nemo Team. Donna is a long-time friend of Wynonna, and she helped to connect SCF and Shannon to Wynonna’s team as SCF began to plan for the Highway to Hope Benefit. Greg Thompson, the Executive Producer and Founder of the PodWheels Network was also part of the podcast conversation.

My Daddy drove Truck for 40 years straight....He retired from P.I.E. (Pacific Intermountain Express) IN 1995 with 4 MILLION ACCIDENT FREE MILES !!! He just passI.. Feb 11, 2021, 1 year 4 Months ago he was 96 years old....Miss you so much Daddy.....!!!
Our Wynonna always in touch with reality no matter how popular and beloved she became. She's like a sister who cares about her family first but we are a close second. Hope your Cactus is doing just fine miss Wynonna.

Wow, ❤️ Love this Wynonna.....I drove Truck for 25 years all over the West Coast...My CB Handle was , has been & is ""Little Mother Trucker"".....I also seen you with Mom in the beginning days, at the Portland Memorial Colisieum,,,,,The Maroboro Country Tour , thinking around 1983 or 84 ? It was The Judds, George Strait & Alabama, Merle Haggard was saposto be there too....But I believe he was sick? It was an Awesome show. A woman can give birth, she earns her title of Ma, Mom through what she does, wills for her kids. I think Wy had a rough ride coming up. Her perceptions may be skewed to some. Bottom line she's telling all / singing it, I refuse to be labeled a victim.
Watch The Judds Docuseries... youll find out her childhood was filled with mental, emotional and physical abuse. Its not easy being raised by a narcissist who refused to stop living in a pity party past.
@@shellbells339 makes one wonder, the background stories, " before" they were discovered. Are they lifetime written scripted for them? I speaking on Naomi. Her story sounds like it was written for her stardom to become. I had all the Judds music and stopped listening.Then Wynonna came out on her own. I bought all her Cassettes. YES that long ago. My daughter as a toddler loved her voice. How many of these entertainers weren't discovered by some fluke event. That they're all bloodline? they were born and bred to entertain ? The 3 women, Naomi, Wynonna, Ashley all have features of starlets of the past, 1930's, 40's. Characteristics, facial, body. All 3 are blends of many women who've passed on. No doubt something really messed up was allowed to happen to the children of Naomi.
You are very judge mental. Each person has their own way of dealing with this catastrophe. These sweet girls have lived with mental illness manifest in their mother. She is allowed to write whatever she pleases, so give her some space to be real in her grieving process. Your attacking her cannot help.

The same reason why my black friends call me their “white friend.” I don’t take offense to it. One, of my friends loves to make picture collages of all her friends and family.
I hadn’t been to her home in many years. As I was sitting in her living room looking at three giant collage frames, she said to me “I have a picture of us when we attended the Mississippi Mass choir performance. Can you find our picture?” It took me a few minutes to find it, then I said “Diane that is easy because I am the lightest one!” She laughed and laughed.

I used to hum music in the stroller but never went towards music. Music is a gift to me and does help in so many ways. God bless your family in this very difficult time. My dad died last week and we had challenges but we healed.

I think Wynonna is getting tired, I can't see her keeping up this grind too much longer unless it's therapeutic for her to get through this horrible tragedy. It has to rake your nerves putting up with petty people in that business and now all the fans will continually remind her of her mother and how it ended however well intended. That will be so hard and make it more difficult to heal. Bless you Wynonna, you are awesome

These last couple of weeks following the tradgic news of Miss Naomi's passing has really been on my mind I've never met her or Wynonna and Ashley but I'm so heartbroken I don't know why I'm taking this so hard yes it's tradgic none the less but Im feeling like as if I'm a close friend or a relative would during this time I have never felt this is way with someone I've never even met but I too am struggling with addiction I've been to treatment had counciling nothing is working I'm to the point of just ending my life to be rid of this pain then I think about Miss Naomi and stop and cry and try to understand what it is am doing I'm so confused I wish I could have had one chance to have talked to her maybe she could of pointed me in the right direction a path that would be most helpful I'm so sorry to hear of her passing my condolences for her family and friends may she rest in Heavenly Peace Miss Naomi you were heard down here and may your work continue on now your an Angel I'm still listening

Speaking of truckers, in Canada here, most recently had the the longest convoy ever in history. Koodos to them for fighting for what they didn't want/need. MASKS!!!! The thrill and chills seeing all those truckers join in every province to Ottawa was so thrilling. Every bridge or passage had tons of people supporting them. Never have I ever felt so proud to be a Canadian! KOODOS to all those beautiful truckers on the highway! Thank yous! Love you so so much Wyonona!!!!!

I want a Mother Trucker Wy shirt! This was such a real interview. Been recently watching the tragedy of the Ottawa truckers Freedom Convoy and have such a respect and gratefulness to all the essential workers. Highway to Hope is a great idea. So very sorry for the sad loss of your dear Mom, Wy, that you are now enduring. One more river to cross Wy….. but you will make it. God bless you and heal your broken heart. 🌺
