- RWBY began as Monty Oum's dream that captured the collective passions of countless fans all over the world who were inspired by his creativity and drive to create. Since then, I believe that vision has been blurred by the same people he entrusted it to, Rooster Teeth. It may not have been out of malice, but the damage is already done and RWBY has suffered for it.
But I also believe now, more than ever, that we, the fans who were inspired by RWBY, hold the embers of that vision Monty left behind. And we can do our best to reconnect the pieces where Rooster Teeth has fallen short.
Oh, you gotta be kidding me, I misspelled "Unofficial" at the end. Oh well.

As far as help I think we're to start as look for his wife and his friends as well as his students I believe to help you with this revamp series you could even call it remastered / remake if you wanted to but try also to get his family members to help you too , basically excluding RoosterTeeth all of Monty's loved ones I believe will definitely help you and are willing too.
Hey I gonna wish you the best of luck and hope that you got enough support for this project. I remember that there is a RWBY fan project call RWBY Alternate by Jerry Freeman in RUclips where he rewrite everything about RWBY with his community help. Just curious if you know about that project.

Looking at the SW sequel trilogy, it’s not hard to beat that.

But 2003 FMA was actually pretty good. Let's not kid ourselves here. RWBY and 2003 FMA isn't even comparable, let alone to Brotherhood.

RWBY helped me out a lot in my life. I met my spouse through cosplaying it and it gave me passion in art. Seeing how terrible it’s become due to RT really broke my heart and I couldn’t find anything to replace that void.
I would be willing to back something like this if you can give it the passion it deserves.

I'd like a soft reboot, but they're in too deep with current RWBY to do that. Maybe when RWBY finally ends, because I won't deny how much I adored the first 3 volumes. They gave off such a "passion is driving this project" vibe, sure it was rough around the edges, but I couldn't stop rewatching those episodes, warts and all.
Your concept art is friggin' fantastic. That design for Summer...damn! Of course, the same could be said for everyone else's contributions. It really helps to sell this world as a darker, more fleshed-out place befitting a fantasy epic like RWBY.
I have been thinking about this project for at least for a month. I can't wait to see more of what to come.
Hearing team RWBY's backstories alone was enough to make me stand up, punch a wall, pace around, and ponder about the grandness of what I just heard.
There is a parrellel hniverse where Monty is still alive and RWBY is better.

DaBlackBlur57 Monty was never the best writer. He had the world and the characters, but a good plot was never something he really laid out. You can see this with stuff like adding in maidens or relics or silver eyes just cause they’re cool. The story part was second to “how can I make a kickass overpowered ability that I can play with in fights?”. People always shit on Miles and Kerry but they were there from day one, and Monty told them both everything. They’ve always been involved with making the story, because really what Monty wanted was to make his own anime with a badass world and badass characters so he could use his godlike fighting animation skills and make something amazing. Don’t kid yourself, rwby has always been a flawed show, but it’s a show that is filled to the brim with passion and that’s why we love it. Or at least that’s why I do. Sorry for the long comment
If there was one thing in the past I'd go back and change, it'd actually be saving Monty, doing something like killing Hitler obviously leaves cascading affects I could never imagine, but I don't think saving Monty would do anything huge to the timeline.

I'd love a reboot, and personally one that's a 2D anime. I think Shonen Jump's RWBY Adaptation's good, so I'd want it to be based off of that. But what I think we all agree on, is that we need a fresh start and potentially a new IP holder. Anyways, good luck to you and your project!
Agreed 100% the manga does well to lay out the characters well, and with the right Japanese animation company rwby could be even better
I think 3d animation was perfect for Monty's fight scenes, a lot of them would be almost impossible to get as nicely done in 2D, but after he passed there was really no need for it anymore. The since season 4 the animation quality is better, but the fight scenes are not as good, and now it has lost all its quirkiness. It would be fine if they were going for a more serous series than it have been so far, but the writing really doesn't achieve this...

@@corvusdax8048 It doesnt matter, it no longer can be fixed, Rooster Teeth tried to rehire Writters for Vol. 8 (which is why we have improvements in the Vol. btw), but because the Writter has to work with the canon that came before they cant really fix everything in the show.
The comic/manga adaptation also showcases a lack of respect for the canon of the show post Vol. 3 the guys know it sucks and wont adapt thatcanon, case it wouldnt sell. Even the Japanese version is up to Vol. 3 for a reason.
@@sebas8225 yeah I feel like for volume 8 they sacrificed Ironwood's characterisation for bits of improvement for the rest of the cast. I reckon they're doing as decently as they can for the standards already set.
@@corvusdax8048 I agree when they have to reupfit the characters every new volume, the bar has been set too high in designs to have anything else delivered, it's sad but it's the harsh reality model reworks are costly and RWBY releases yearly, this is why Vols 4-5 were particularly awful, case not only were new designs a thing but there was also a need to work on other aspects like the Maya engine, etc... There simply wont be time to work on the characters like Monty used to do.
In retrospect the staff should've never been too obcessed with the designs, even while Monty was alive in Vol. 3 the designs were mostly keep as they were which helped production but not afterwards.

For what's its worth even though seeing RWBY as it is now I've never truly hated it. It's a series that I Highly recommend to all my friends and family ( they even thanked me for introducing it to them).
RWBY has a way of putting people together. I don't falt even the haters for hating, the fact that they hate RWBY just shows that they care for the show.
If given a chance I would gladly erase my memories of RWBY and watch it again and again, it's a show where people can come together, bond, and share their experiences after watching it.
For a show that started from a man's passion project to becoming a show that inspired an intire generation of animators, story writers, fans, and people with a dream in life.

Really great to see you diving into the lore. I found a lot of you're additions interesting but always remember to question and revise you're own work - a lot of thinking is required to make an air-tight story and world( But this story/world doesn't necessarily have to be completely air tight considering this is project made to reignite what fans loved about RWBY). The story looks good, don't mind me, but always see if you can surpass what you've done. Keep at it Syto-Kun!

@Muffin Man Dan RWBY was always unoriginal and had plotholes though, it's weird people think RT ruined anything when it's more like they kept up the ruining in a way people couldn't help but notice. I don't like corporations much myself but people are being unfair to them just because Monty died, RWBY's always been heavily flawed, they're just adding new flaws and making the old even more transparent. There's no longer corny humor and cool fights to satisfy the more mindless part of the audience. I'm gonna keep on because there'll always be good ideas to use in my fic and I want to see how bad it gets. But don't you have a gay ship to complain about and a website to hack?
@Muffin Man Dan I know RWBYTubers are bad at criticism, but I didn't think they were bad at reading too. Name one time I defended RWBY in my last paragraph. Go ahead. I think I did quite the opposite, I'm just going against the circlejerk about "muh Monty's vision, RWBY was a masterpiece before RT ruined it". I came into RWBY from Fatman's vids so I was always more critical of it than most.
I felt the same thing you did when I first saw RWBY. It's not that it was a particularly amazing show, but that it represented the potential in each of us as individuals to make something. Many of us dream of making our own anime, and RWBY showed us that the dream was not only possible but realistically possible.
Your Visions project is certainly ambitious and commendable. I'm not sure I fully agree with all of the directions you're suggesting the series can take, but I like the stuff I've seen on your subreddit and I certainly admire that not only do you have an idea but that you're actively working to bring it to life. I think that's exactly what Monty wanted to inspire in all of us.
Thank you! That potential was the fire that kept the series and the fandom alive. Regardless of any ideas I may have or even the quality of the project itself, but having that same fire fuel it is absolutely key.

@@lfz4611 Yes, and I quit at the first chapter. It feels like the writer of the manga just add more to the story that he thinks will fit the character to Japanese audience, again. It feels like a fan re-write story than a official manga. Maybe I am just too picky on manga, but that is just not for me. Both of them.

Regarding Pyrrha, I feel like she should live on and become a "Fallen Hero" architype.
Say Ozpin fills her head with the ideas of destiny and how her skills make her the best candidate. Then, when Cinder takes the powers, she breaks Pyrrha's aura, shield, and javelin while they're still in the basement and gives a short speech on how "Destiny is something you take into your own hands, and I'm worthy of this power, not you." or something. She and Jaune escape and Pyrrha takes Jaune's advice to fight another day, and they retreat.
Later in volume 4, JNR leaves with Ruby but Pyrrha meets up with Yang and they find two more people to form their own team (Weiss and Blake find their own 4-man-teams as well). Then everyone meets up by Volume 6 and Pyrrha discovers the truth that Ozpin has no endgame plan, just for hunters to die at the hands of grimm for eternity.
The big twist of the series is that Salem is the actual hero and Oz is the villain who refuses to own up for his mistakes in the past. Salem promises Pyrrha an end to the conflict if she were to win and so Pyrrha, much to her friends' dismay, joins the villains. By the end, Pyrrha does enough damage and even defeats her friends multiple times in battle until (because she's based on Achilles) they find ways around her fighting style and semblance and defeat her together. At some point by the end, she realizes her mistake and makes a sacrifice so everyone she cares about can escape Salem and Ozpin and continue the fight.
That's my little fanfiction if she never died. If it sucks, then alright, if not, thanks for reading.
I loved Pyrrha, but killing her off was not Rooster Teeth's doing - it was Monty's. Jen Brown (Pyrrha's VA) confirmed that she knew her character's fate from the beginning. Yes, it would be great if we didn't have to lose anyone - as a human being, I completely agree with that sentiment.
As a writer, however - I would have to argue that such a world sounds extremely boring. The anticipation, the fear of loss is what makes battles exciting - take that away and all you have left is an elaborate dance, one to be played over and over again with the same performers.
As I said, I loved Pyrrha - she was the heart of Team JNPR. But bringing her back - what would that achieve?
Oh, the fans want it so it must be a good idea.
RWBY has one of the largest casts of characters I have ever seen in a show and they are barely being used. Where's Team CFVY? What are they up to? Who is Cinder? What's her backstory? Next to Neo, Cinder is a character we know next to nothing about, not even her real name. There are far too many questions in RWBY that have yet to be answered before complicating matters further by tossing in a resurrection arc.
@@arklaynorth1389 I...kind of agree with you, but here's my counter. I also don't think bringing her back would be a good idea, but then you have the tone of the first 2 volumes which were light. If RWBY was all about the spectacle, then damn the story. This is just my bias, but I feel like there's just a lot more that could have been done with her character.
Also, and this is just me, but an epic story doesn't need to be dark to be good. Hell, in Berserk after the eclipse, Guts keeps collecting people to his new band instead of characters just dying off. I kinda just wish RWBY stuck to being light-hearted and had this adventure story the way it is.
I'm aware people hate Fairy Tail now, but back in the day, it had enough charm to where I didn't care about tension, just seeing the characters kick ass and be funny. Like I said I'm willing to admit I'm wrong, but I still feel like there was more she could've done and THEN die.

So, I'll do my best to refute them and extend to you the same civility you offered to me. In the end, of course, this is all simply opinion and we are each entitled to our own view. One view I think we can both agree upon is that the show has lost a lot of the magic we felt it once had.
So, yes, you're right. A show does not need to be dark to be epic and Volume 3 was a hard left turn for a lot of people. Some of us saw it coming but the majority did not.
While RWBY did well as a light-hearted show, there was always the knowledge that dark times lay ahead. While we didn't get her name until Volume 2, Cinder appears in the first episode of the show, is shown to be a villain and is shown to be more than a match for Ruby and Glynda. The show told us from the very beginning that by the end, the stakes would be high.
And it is fun to watch the heroes win - but in my opinion, they need a reality check every once in a while. Because if the heroes always win, then the villains aren't really a threat.
I'm not saying that RWBY should be like playing through Bloodborne (though that does sound fun) but the fights against the villains should be treated like boss fights - even if the villain is outnumbered.
For example, near the end of Volume 6: when Yang and Blake fight Adam - was there any doubt who was going to win that fight? That fight should have been an absolute struggle to win.
Maybe that's why I like Weiss - she loses a lot. But losing makes you stronger - provided you are willing to learn from your mistakes.
There are many things I wanted to see done with RWBY by now. I wanted a redemption arc for Cinder as I feel she, like the other villains, are being manipulated by Salem. You'll notice all the villains are, for lack of a better word, broken in some way. Watts is a disgraced scientist. Hazel lost a sister. Tyrion is ... well, insane. And Cinder - well, we don't know yet. For some reason, she lost an eye ... which I doubt Ruby or anyone rescuing Ruby is responsible for - so that feeds into her hatred for the girl. All we know is Cinder is driven by blind hatred for Ruby - hatred based upon what she's been told.
But I'm getting off track.
My ultimate point is that the signs of danger were always there. And while RWBY chose to not immediately face those dangers, come Volume 3 they knew they had to deliver on all the build-up.
Shows that don't change their dynamic ultimately become stale. The irony of the situation is that the dynamic has been changed so drastically that for some viewers, the show has become stale regardless.
@@arklaynorth1389 Yeah, you're right about that last part especially about changing for the better. I guess the tone change is what turned me off the most, just wish the earlier seasons gave a bit more darkness so it didn't feel so sudden, or shock value in my opinion. Still, Miles once said that V4 is where the story began, and I just wish they held onto Pyrrha a bit longer. As for Cinder, yeah, V4 gave us a new side of her, V5 should've given us more progression with her arc, and V6 should've given us a backstory...but whatever.
What I'm mostly worried about now is the news with RT not paying its employees for overtime which could lead to disaster for the company along the road. Worst case scenario: the show ends either on a cliffhanger or rushed final volume if RT shuts its doors.

I fell in love with RWBY because of the epic fights, and the low budget look was very endearing to me. The animation had a charm. Sure, it was a bit cringey at times, but even the cringe had some charm to it.
Now that RT has totally taken over, the writing is a mess, the fights are yawn inducing, and the streamlined animation just comes across as boring and lifeless in a way. I stopped watching because of the drop in quality, and that makes me sad because I discovered RWBY in a more difficult time in my life and it was special to me. It's a shame. R.I.P. Monty.

I totally get what you mean when you say the crappy animation was endearing! It was like the uncanny valley for me, like it was so scrappy it was cute but once Maya came in... it felt like they were trying to be Disney and failed. It now could be compared to a big name animator and not in a good way... the backgrounds in Maya though are to DIE for 😩 I think the main problem with the character models for me is that there are no gradients/shading on their outfits and so it looks really plasticky.
I remember seeing the first trailers when I was young. Specifically the Red Trailer. My heart was no longer the same. I was in love. Even when there were signs of bad storytelling, I forgave it because of the phenomenon action.
Then the quality went down even further and I learned Monty died. I looked up his animations and fell in love with his fight scenes AFTER he died. Realising that I missed someone that was much more than an animator.
He was an icon of his kind. People were still remembering him to this day.
I wish I’d got to see a good RWBY story.
This man needs to write the show.

I finally found this video, and am glad to see this project is still going as "Remnants"! The ideas you had have inspired me quite a bit! As an aspiring writer, with RWBY having been what triggered my creative growth, but have been unable to do anything with it! Many of the ideas that you brought up have inspired me and I hope you won't mind if, as I get started, I use at least some "aspects" of what you brought up here! I will 100% credit you for helping my desperate search for stimulation and for a kick to get me going on something related to this franchise!
I totally agree with what you said about the RWBY we got in Vol. 4+ is... not the same to say the least. That it is far more plot driven now when that simply was not what RWBY started out as. And I'm inspired by what you started here, to say the least. Good job sir. I look forward to what you do next.

@@SwitchbackCh I like of a lot of what you said. The 10 kings and the world history was very solid. I don't have an issue with it and actually am now inspired to use a similar idea in my own stories if that's alright with you. The aura and dust changes I liked as well but I'm 50/50 on the change to semblance. My personal canon is that semblance is a limited version of magic. In the show, they don't say what magic can and can't do and while they also say that magic was erased, maybe it wasn't. I believe that a semblance is just magic but limited. Imagine that each semblance is a spell and a person when magic existed could cast any of those spells/semblances. When magic was erased, it actually wasn't, people were just limited to casting only one spell. Change to silver eyes, B E A U tiful, such a good change and now they make some sense. Character changes were also great as well since you made each of them have a lot more depth. Blake I really liked since she is a serious character who had a somewhat bad past which you made better. I love characters that start off as mean or rude but as you learn about them, you realize that they are actually good people. If I have anymore to say I'll respond but these are my thoughts so far. @@thekillergopher8755 Thank you! Well, Semblance is already a type of magic system, essentially. I'm just tying them more closely to the soul and the psyche. I feel there's much more potential there to explore the characters and how they tick through their Semblance, which even the show uses as a visual shorthand for the characters' disposition and hangups -- Yang being the prominent example.
I'm glad you like Blake! I'll just say though that what I intended may not be very abrasive or mean (that's more Weiss), but very closed off and cold. I do wonder what a RWBY reboot would be like. When I first saw RWBY a few years ago, I was genuinely amazed. The animation style looked very off at first, but once I grew used to it I loved it. It used to be this action-filled story with tons of lighthearted humor. Despite the edgy appearance, we even see how funny our protagonist is, and Ruby Rose was immediately my favorite. Neo and Torchwick sit on top spots for villains though, they're just that good.
You don't really get these fun vibes from modern RWBY though. It feels like it's constantly tripping and stumbling over it's own plotholes, and when it isn't, it still can't seem to win back the spirit the old one had. Sure, the animation has vastly improved in certain aspects, but it lost that lively feel. We don't really get these fun designs like Neo or Edgy Red Riding Hood, and I miss that. Even when the old animation style from Poser Pro looks like it was done in MMD in 2010, sometimes it almost tears me up because of how much I miss that carefree vibe everything gave off at the time.
I wonder what RWBY would be like if everything had that lively atmosphere from volumes 1 and 2. If I could trade out what we have now to get more of that, I would. If it gave off even a lingering fragment of the excitement I felt when I first saw RWBY, that'd be enough for me.
I have an Idea for how the Maidens can fit into the unified aura theory
"Magic" is combining 2 or more semblances in a way that's impossible to be done with a single semblance (which by this definition Marcus Black would be a Wizard), Salem and Ozpin both had a reincarnation semblance, which allows them to accumulate all the semblances of their previous hosts, Salem also has a Grimm controlling semblance, and Ozpin had a semblance that cut a semblance away from aura, one day they had a fight, Ozpin used his semblance cutting to remove Salem's immortality and all her semblances really, but because Salem had accumulated so many semblances the attack caused an explosion, where their semblances ended up in four young girls (the four Maidens), both kept their reincarnation, Ozpin also keep his cut semblance, which is how he was able to give Qrow and Raven bird powers, and Salem kept her Grimm controlling semblance
this way the Maidens can have their own power set, like Fall can have lightning and wind, Winter can have snow, Spring could have plant control, and Summer could have Fire

@@Step43099 Monty´s Maidens and RT´s maidens are completely different concepts, look at what happened to Cinder post Vol. 3 and you´d get that, the character got completely squat on, because the concept of a maiden was sidelined for the concept for relics.
A few ideas of how I would write the show.
Step one: give Raven a redemption ark like endeavor.
Steptwo: Ruby never lie to ironwood.
Step 3: make cinderfalls backstory and character, a little like tomura shigaraki.
Step four: make Salem more mysterious, make her more like a ghost story, something like all for one in the first season of my hero academia.

As a fan of RWBY who has been suffering burn out and has been considering dropping the series if volume 7 isn't to my liking, I was still quite doubtful of this video. "RWBY Needs A New Beginning"? How? I have seen many people try to rewrite RWBY, what makes this youtuber (who I have never heard of before this) any different? Isn't it better to just leave it for dead and save us some time/disappointment? Yet my curiosities were rewarded because as I watched this video....I felt something, something I haven't felt in a long time in regards to RWBY. This feeling turned my first stoic and doubtful reaction to the video into me leaning closer to the screen of my laptop, completely immersed as I listened to your ideas.
You have a good base and I adore everything about your ideas, the worldbuilding, the characters, the changes....I'm actually excited to see what you do with the other villains since you already made Raven sound so cool. So...take my subscription because I truly want to follow you on this path you are taking. I wish you good luck on these goals and hope this is a fruitful mission. I didn't really know Monty, I got into the show after he passed and can't really speak for him but....I think this will recapture the energy and spirit Monty put into his work and for that; I am very excited.
I honestly can't describe how much hope this gives me for a RWBY that stays true to Monty's vision of creativity, individuality and passion. Rwby has just fallen bland nowdays, and others say the direction was lost. I can agree with that. Rwby now has tried to prolong its death but now its catching up. I wish it never happened, it was my favorite anime.
Omigosh, this was amazing! You literally collected all of the truths that I thought about RWBY but didn't know how to say, and some that I hadn't considered but are absolutely true, and wove it together into that beautiful speech at the beginning. And the world you created is everything that RWBY needed but couldn't bring to the table. Between the symbolism and meaning behind the lore of the story, and the enthusiasm put into this work, your reasoning for every aspect of the world made sense in the way that only a truly meaningful story could. I feel like since Monty's death the writer's of RWBY have been concerned with one thing: keeping RWBY going. Maybe their intention was good. Maybe it was to keep honouring Monty's creation. But that doesn't change the fact that they were doing it the wrong way. They are only concerned about making the story progress, and that's not how you write a story. You end up rushing the progression, or progressing in a way that completly misdirects from the entire point of story and it's characters and world, and we've seen that very clearly in Rooster Teeth's RWBY. The point of a story is not just to tell it.
Thank you so much for putting so much time and thought into this. Those are the two things that RWBY was missing, and I feel so happy to see that RWBY CAN be an amazing story. Please continue what you are doing, it gives so many people hope and inspiration, and shows us that if we care about something not just for making it happen, but for the actual reason that it's happening, than our dreams really can come true!

@@monolarityforever9043 The middle sized mechs (the kind of one Torchwick used) make sense, the bigger ones should be a rarity, due to production costs, Atlas definitely should´ve one in their capital (Like AGK´s Shikotaiser), but they should definitely not be a norm in border towns, where middle sized Mechs should be enough.

Also in the case of Weiss's "True Semblance".
if she's rebellious and want's to break free of her family, maybe her semblance could be breaking boundaries. Like an extremely nerfed version of Yukari Yakumo's ability from Touhou.
Weiss would be able to create small warps in reality allowing her to do things like teleport, weaken gravity, or strengthen the power of dust.
Personally, I would keep Weiss "true Semblance" something simple to contrast the complex Glyphs she used. It's not that powerful, but one of those poetic things that when it's revealed makes you go "Oh, that makes perfect sense for Weiss' true nature."

I just noticed. 9:05 why do all kingdoms look like dragons?(vale looks more like chinese or serpent dragon and the rest look like wyverns or traditional dragons.) There is also a weird fish looking thing but besides that,maybe all the kindoms have sonething to do with the gods.
The Gods have dragon forms and they created Remnant so it's possible that's why all the continents look that way.

As volume 6 had torn my heart with frustrations, this healed me. Thank you for reminding me on how and why I loved this series. I teared up on several parts of this video. Good job.
Also, I also writing some sort of fanfiction of my original team and used the concept of primal Grimms, but they are more like the tier 5 grimms you mentioned. Wow, some ideas are connected after all.

I tried going for the AU route, but I decided to call this a reboot for many reasons that I've described. I think imagining the actual RWBY as something with different elements is unexpected but refreshing, instead of an AU where changes are expected.

one idea i had came from ren's talk about semblances, on the possibility of them evolving, that i dubbed "awakened". example, for ruby since hers was speed/rose petals, perhaps she can someday get to quicksilver speed (cuz flash too fast) and make a sort of rose petal storm where she just fires out razor petals as she goes into that whirlwind. or ren even evolving his semblance to full on invisibility. etc

I just hope that you put Adam Taurus (aka Rwbys version of Vergil of DMC) to be a mentor for Blake and other Faunus, he should be a caring one for his race and will do everything in his might to protect them but as well he shouldnt be too cruel to humans, i want him to at least "respect" the humans that accepts his race and can build a good relationship with them.

@@KoryLunaa The thing is, the transition from Justified Racist Adam to Neo Racist Adam was never properly showcased in the show, in the Blake RWBY comic, it´s aluded that Adam was already killing humans, yet in the Adam FB Siena stopped him from killing humans (showcasing that behavior wasnt permitted) and his first time killing one was far different than what the series aludes to.
And yes the transition must be well explained, because if Adam is a Neo Racist and the WF is aware of it, they´d just dump his sorry ass, because he´d eventually start killing faunus who would get in their way, the entire antithesis to what the WF was meant to be.
A fix for all of this, is Adam being showcased to holding back against Faunus oponents, and take human oponents seriously in a fight.

This is now the quote that I think of after seeing a certain video series about Monty's intent for what RWBY is supposed to be that I know you, Switchback, have seen as of my writing this comment. Can we say for sure what the show would've been like today had Monty still been around to pour his heart and soul into it as he had been doing? No, there's no way to know for sure. There is also no way to know what the fan reception of said show would've been like. It's all just speculation on the back of a what-if.
But if I may add my two cents in, I think that there are some who would've been upset with Monty and the direction that he *and the rest of CRWBY* could've/would've taken for the show in this alternate timeline. There would've likely been some that would've claimed that the man was ruining his own show. And this, once again, is predicated on the fact that while it was originally Monty's idea, it's not entirely his creation alone. On the totem pole of whose show this is, Monty is number one, but numbers two and three are Miles and Kerry (not respectively, I can't remember which one of them it was who came up with the meat and potatoes of the worldbuilding and lore). Ah shit, I wrote all this this morning and lost my train of thought. But tl;dr I really am convinced that no matter what, there are plenty of people who would've disliked the direction that the show was going to go, regardless of whether or not Monty Oum was still around to work on it.
The World was made by Monty Oum who randomly sprayed Ketchup on a Napkin and said: "This is going to be the World of RWBY".
About whether or not it would be "different" Monty was great at improvising with stuff the fanbase liked, Torchwick is a good example, Monty originally wanted him done quick but kept him til Vol. 3 case fanbase interest.

When I get into the show the 1st thing I want to the is how the world works. Even though this is concept, I managed to visualize how your world is by far. As an artist. I have to give props to you. Looking foward to more.
Its good to see someone else besides me and my friend that tries to make this a better show worthy of its original potential. We have been kinda of storming with RWBY for a while now and have several ideas, if you need any help with something we are writers that can help.
And you mentioned Anthem and Destiny, but you should really go for God Eater Burst instead. Several ideas for RWBY came from the game, including one of the characters that is pretty much taken straight out of it. And the idea for Grimm as well. Give it a shot if you want an better view on what RWBY was suposed to be like, and on a great game as well, if you havent already.

@@ChangedMyNameFinally69 That's not really how that works at all. Fairy Tales are public domain works that have inspired many stories like RWBY, but RWBY itself is a licensed product owned by RT. Of course you can be inspired by it, however, you can't just rewrite the story with a bunch of the same things and claim it as your own original story like you can with fairy tales. In the end this is just a fanfiction like all fix it fics.

After first I was a little hesitant to see where this was going but the more I watched the more I want to see this become a reality. I’ll admit the creative and character development in rwby is lacking in some areas but from seeing this I’ve actually come to admire what switchback is doing, and that being trying to rekindle the passion. As a young film major student I’ve only just begun to understand a bit about stuff like this, but the one thing I know for certain is that passion and dedication should always be at the forefront.
RWBY is basically Bleach and Soul Eater having a baby, I'd love to see wiess and Ruby get as much development as Ichigo and rukia or maka and soul

Why the hell am I finding this NOW?! This is freaking awesome dude! Personally, I haven't been a fan of the newer Volumes of RWBY. The first 2 are my favorite. Seeing this, makes me want a RWBY reboot. Like other comments said like a RWBY: Sisterhood. I love this.
