Beautiful garden ! I recently purchased a house in Kohler Wisconsin, and there no plants in this house. By looking your plants I I can get ideas for my new garden. Thanks for showing your plants. Mirna
If you get a good mosquito repellent, you can ward off those mosquitos. We get swarms in Texas and Louisiana and I don’t have a problem after covering myself in it.
Wow I love ur yard beautiful work u have done ,I wish I was ur Gardner ,I love plants ,but our weathers in Winnipeg is quite cold ,Some plant won't survive in this zone ,good luck ,!👍🌹🇨🇦
Beautiful yard!!!! In your circle, is that "snow on the mountain" ? I have wanted to plant some... I garden in Virginia and have a lot of shade... Your garden is really nice! Love hosta too!
Enjoyed your tour very much! Could you tell us how many sunpatiens you planted in the pots along your driveway? I have ordered some for my garden this year and would appreciate knowing how many you used to get that full look. Thanks!
Depends on how big your plants are. One year I found the Sunpatiens in a 6 pack which was very budget friendly and I used 5. Last year I wasn't so lucky and I think they were in 4 inch pots each and I used 4 which ended up costing a lot more but still worth it. I think Sunpatiens are one of my favorite flowers to use in containers and I never have to deadhead them 😊
The new guinea impatiens are gorgeous were each plant just one single plant or multiple? Also did you groom them into that shape? Mine never stay round like that. They almost look like mums in the beginning
Thanks for watching and your kind words. I dig them up in the fall and I wash off all the soil, cut off all the leaves, cut off the roots and leave maybe about an inch of the stalk. I let them dry in the sun for a day then I store them in peat moss in a cool, dark and dry location. Some make it and some don't. I don't bring the whole plant in because I have cats and dogs and they would not leave it alone
No I have never used it for anything except as a mosquito deterrent which I don't think had too much affect on them. I had shredded it and used it as mulch which smelled soon good
Thank you for your promt reply. I love the look of it trailing on the ground. I never thought to grow it that way. I have the green variety but in hanging baskets. Maybe I'll try growing some the way you did. Love your garden.
JulV Wildcat thnx for the reply., very helpful. I want to try them this summer. hopefully my area will favour them.north germany.av never seen them anywhere around, I know them from my homeland Kenya
