    If you get a good mosquito repellent, you can ward off those mosquitos. We get swarms in Texas and Louisiana and I don’t have a problem after covering myself in it.

      Thanks for watching and your kind words. Sorry it took me a little bit to comment. Yes it is snow on the mountain but it is very invasive.

    Enjoyed your tour very much! Could you tell us how many sunpatiens you planted in the pots along your driveway? I have ordered some for my garden this year and would appreciate knowing how many you used to get that full look. Thanks!

    • @floralnhardy7332
      @floralnhardy7332  6 лет назад +1

      Depends on how big your plants are. One year I found the Sunpatiens in a 6 pack which was very budget friendly and I used 5. Last year I wasn't so lucky and I think they were in 4 inch pots each and I used 4 which ended up costing a lot more but still worth it. I think Sunpatiens are one of my favorite flowers to use in containers and I never have to deadhead them 😊

      FloralnHardy thanks! I have some on order that should arrive in a couple weeks, so your answer helps. Can’t wait till I can plant them!

    The new guinea impatiens are gorgeous were each plant just one single plant or multiple? Also did you groom them into that shape? Mine never stay round like that. They almost look like mums in the beginning

    • @floralnhardy7332
      @floralnhardy7332  6 лет назад

      They are Sunpatiens compact electric orange. I have 4 plants in each pot. I don't trim them at all. They grow like that and are my favorite flowers

    how do you overwinter your elephant ears plants. amazing garden you hav

    • @floralnhardy7332
      @floralnhardy7332  7 лет назад

      Thanks for watching and your kind words. I dig them up in the fall and I wash off all the soil, cut off all the leaves, cut off the roots and leave maybe about an inch of the stalk. I let them dry in the sun for a day then I store them in peat moss in a cool, dark and dry location. Some make it and some don't. I don't bring the whole plant in because I have cats and dogs and they would not leave it alone

    Do you use your Lemongrass? Thanks for sharing your garden!

    • @floralnhardy7332
      @floralnhardy7332  7 лет назад

      No I have never used it for anything except as a mosquito deterrent which I don't think had too much affect on them. I had shredded it and used it as mulch which smelled soon good

      Thank you for your promt reply. I love the look of it trailing on the ground. I never thought to grow it that way. I have the green variety but in hanging baskets. Maybe I'll try growing some the way you did. Love your garden.
