Excellent video with good information, thanks Stuart. I may have missed it but do they advise on what days they are flying? cheers Ian

Thanks. It’s a no I’m afraid but generally you can expect 3 practice sorties Monday to Friday, but watch out on the Facebook groups for times they won’t be flying - eg half term, bank holidays and when they go to Greece for exercise Springhawk (they’re there right now).

Anthony, that’s very kind, thanks very much. They usually fly at 9, 11 or 12 and 2. Definitely try and get there this year because they’re changing base to Waddington at the end of the season, although I understand they will continue flying in Scampton’s airspace for now. My stills were taken with a 7D MkII with a Tamron 150-600 G2 and video with iPhone 13 Pro. I look forward to seeing your results (subscribed!). Cheers

      Many thanks Andrew 👍🏻
Not an easy question to answer though because I’m fairly active on the zoom as I’m taking the shots, but having had a quick look at the data, I can tell you the shots from the crash gate for top of loop and the synchro breaks were 600mm and climbing up into the loop and the barrel roll were between 300 and 600mm.
From the other side - my ‘secret’ location - climbing into the loop 150-400mm, descending back down again at 480mm, run and break at 450mm and barrel roll at 330mm. Phew! I hope that helps!
