World of Warships - Quick Cut: Tier VIII Premium American Destroyer USS Kidd (Ranked Gameplay)

Tier VIII Premium American destroyer USS Kidd isn't a bad pick for Bronze league ranked games, but you have to go in with the understanding that you aren't going to land many devastating torpedo salvoes. It just isn't what the ship is good at. What she IS good at, however, is brawling other DDs and outlasting them, as demonstrated - narrowly - here on North.

Just got her because of that trade ships event, I had mostly seen she had good feedback about the Kidd, so I ended up trading the Tulsa I had for a few months ago from the armory, and I hated the Tulsa and rarely played her, so I took the Kidd in the end, it felt like a decent deal, besides that, the Tulsa is still in the armory but won't miss her...
The important thing about the Kidd, the torpedoes are all launched together and they take too long to reload, glad there's still the smoke bomb, it's especially strongly needed given her taking all of her torpedoes when launch one, it means all of them in only one salvo, that's the biggest issue about the Kidd...
But her guns are pretty useful, with the option for extra-speed or having a lot AA guns, and smoke bombs are really needed, unexpected was a heal, not many DDs have a heal and that much AA, and so far, I'll take the Kidd instead of the Tulsa every times...
On top of it, I had already a 19 skill captain avaible right from the get go, assigned him to my newer ship...
And the Tulsa is still in the armory in case I ever want her back...

Trenlass put out a good video on how to play subs recently. Not something I am inclined to do. Ever. Already have a sub game. But it gave me a better appreciation of the complexities, with the different classes of completely illogical sensors, etc. Explains why the sub crowd is so sharply divided between the utterly useless and the completely overpowered.

flamuu did a video on the new i-56 premium sub. he got insane damage and torp hits were crazy with that thing.

Raptor do you have the new spanish premium Numancia? I've found her to be super fun and had a lot of success with her in ranked.

@@SeaRaptor I'd definitely recommend playing her in ranked. Getting uptiered in her feels... really bad. She's not really cut out for random battles, but her super stealthy conceal makes you quite the little ambush ship in ranked. Also, word of warning, the burst fire salvo is wonky at best, be prepared for Roma levels of dipsersion. I've dev struck a Bayard that tried to rush me around an island, but I've also managed 1 hit out of 3 salvos on a BB 13km away trying to set perma-fires.

The lack of communication and intelligence is why i dont bother trying too much in this game. Itll only leave you frustrated. Your win/loss is rng to players not teamwork
