Hi! I just started learning Scruggs style banjo, but found the song "lost Lula" which I really want to learn, and was wondering if I should also try and learn claw hammer banjo, or if I can play it 3 finger style as well? Doubling up on the thumb, index, and middle fingers is a key component to playing good Scruggs style banjo. It has a different tone than what you get when you play the same sorts of licks with the thumb and index.
