PCT Day 37-40

Hikertown, the infamous aqueduct, and knee problems. Our night hiking plans were squashed when daytime weather brought us 55 degrees and windy on the notoriously hot and exposed section across the LA Aquaduct. Trying to push fast miles across metal pipes and concrete did a number to my knee that ended up needing a couple days of ice, elevation, and recovery before I could get back on.

Several hikers choose to hike that area at night to avoid the heat... you're doing great!
