    Love Candlebox!
The whole music scene and musician's we're affected by Andrews death.
Been to a ton of their local shows.
The Showbox was one of their favorite venues.
Hope you do more Seattle Saturdays and more Candlebox.

I was 30 and in my prime when that came out, new 5.0, drinking my ass off, shooting pool, everyone and everything thrown at my feet...and sooo much great music in the 90's, this was just one of many. But 30 yrs later now at 60, this is the one I go back to. He scorched that motherfucker in that last verse. Epic tune, epic times...and you never realize it in the moment, then you're looking back and it all went by so fast.

Manfred Mann's Earth Band - Nightingales & Bombers - As Above So Below (1975)
"The title of this album was inspired by a recording made in Surrey, England during the Second World War, by an ornithologist intending to record Nightingales. The bombers flew over at the same time and were recorded by accident. The recording has been incorporated in 'As Above, So Below'". - Manfred Mann 1975[3] (In fact, the recording was made on May 1942 by a BBC sound engineer for the BBC. Intending to capture the nightingale's song he also, by accident, recorded the sound of RAF bombers on their way to attack Mannheim, Germany.)

Loss of a close friend to a drug OD. This encompasses the regret, pain, and anger AFTER the lose...and owning some self-blame or even guilt of maybe you could have helped "stood around and watched you suffer", but sometimes you just can't. They hadn't fallen out prior- the emotions you feel in the song didn't come from there (ala Alanis Morrisette's 'You Oughta Know", lol...that's a falling out song at it's epic best) this is all that comes after losing someone, and here involving drugs/an OD.

The song Say Hello To Heaven by Temple of the dog is also about Andrew. And it's a banger

1st time listen an i loved him love that music about Toni Cornell also does "black" if you choose to do ONE OR The other what song you like better she has a list as long as your leg with nothing but praise an saying that they actually cried suicide is so hard to understand he left behind 3 kids one older than Toni with 1st wife than Toni an her brother one yr younger breaks my heart especially when at age 12 she was one of those morning shows and stood on stage with a member of One Republic and Toni announced this is for Chester and my Dad an it was " Hallelujah"for a 12 r old whos Dad died 3 months before to maintain her composure singing a song to her dad when she was that young is remarkable alot of great songs out of Seattle

My interpretation for this song, sounds like a an abusive relationship. The man is controlling and violent. The girl decides to leave in fear for her life.

Actually it’s not about that at all..
The song was written for a friend he lost to addiction 🥺😢💔

Nope. All the regret, angst, helplessness in the song is losing a friend to drug addiction right before your very eyes....then it's too late.
