kind of is about money. They cant quit south park, the IP is too valuable. Difference between simpsons and south park and south park is owned by Trey Parker and Matt Stone. Fox owns simpsons. Owning south park is like owning simpsons. They are still some humble guys. Never let hollywood get over their heads.
Also as crazy as it seems. Matt Stone is the second richest comedian behind Seinfeld. 700 million. Trey Parker is around $600 Million. Both Richer then Leno.
Love him cause masochist rarely get attention in shows and his moral lesson of not being a slut by choice to Wendy one of the best Mr slave episodes we need big gay Al back too
I have such a huge smile on my face, I'm from the UK and have religiously watched South Park for 15 years religiously. What I would do to just experience this in person, thank you so much for standing out from all the boring animated shows we get and giving us something so unique. Nothing will come close to South Park's humour and characters.
The best part of this show is everyone looks like they’re genuinely having an amazing time. The energy is just so positive, nearly everyone in the crowd has a wide smile on their faces. Matt and Trey are genuinely some amazing people who continue to bring smiles and laughter in this messy world we live in. I hope they live long fulfilling lives.
Can we talk about how South Park is the only sitcom that is run by two guys who are from a normal American town and genually care for one another and how undoubtedly grateful they are to their fans.
Watching this literally made me cry. These guys formed my whole childhood and then see how talented they are live, holy shit talk about emotions. I wish I would’ve gone to this concert.
I still watch this regularly after a year. One of the greatest concerts of all time probably… of course I can’t attest to what happened before the 1970s or so but I can’t imagine anything other than a Beatles live performance from the early 60s could live up to this; other than Woodstock.
The thing I keep thinking about watching this concert is how Trey and Matt would sometimes say in interviews that they always wished they could have been in a band, and they look at South Park as if every episode was a song and every season was an album just to keep their rock star fantasy alive. So they must have just been absolutely living their dream.
Brings a tear to my eye every time I watch this and see Trey and Ween on stage together. They look like the happiest people when performing their art. It’s amazing to see.
It reminds me when entertainment was better. This completely embodies the late 90s/early 2000s nostalgia. You truly realise how much better things were!
The fact that they opened with a power ballad version of Uncle Fucka is one of the most hilarious and incredible things ever. I was there the second night, with no idea what to expect, and the second Trey started singing those lyrics, I started laughing in a way I very rarely laugh, like a soul-level laugh of sheer, total, absolute delight and joy. I can't describe it, but that sense continued throughout the song. It was something I'll never forget, and every time I think about it, I feel a little bit of that kind of joy again and smile.
That’s so awesome you got to experience that - what a memory! Similar thing happened at Book of Mormon for me. The show opens with Trey’s voice doing a short intro about the history of Mormonism. You start laughing immediately with the familiar voices, then the laughter just doesn’t stop thru the whole show. I’ve never laughed like that or smiled that big for so long.
I love this concert, wish I had been there. Thanks to South Park for making available on the Internet. Trey is a multi-talented artist, musician, writer., WOW
@@ding-dong_bing-bong I didn't mean to imply that Matt doesn't deserve any credit. These two partners co-created South Park and have been together for more than 30 years, counting their time together in college.
Matt and Trey are maestros. Multi instrumentalists, composers, screenwriters, directors, choreography, broadway, concerts, comedy, film and etc. They are true artists. Creators. I didn't know the depth of their talent and artistic reach. I'll tell my kids about these guys. How friendship, passion and America allowed for perhaps my generation's top creators to exist.
Ive been watching south park since I was 10yo in the 90s. My parents used to let me rent the VHS tape from a local book/video store and I got hooked and they were never the type to be over protective. I saw shit like it and the exorcist when I was 4ish and just accepted I didnt need to be shielded from stuff people say is too much for a kid. So greatful for south park for giving me memories of laughing with my dad about jokes I barely understood and when I was 20 I showed my 8yo brother and shared this show with him and we've bonded over it quoting it every time we see eachother. Cheers too you!!
it has been 25 years, and i have not seen anyone recognize that Les dressed himself with the exact outfit he had in the original intro including the fish on his hat which he acknowledged but nobody got . he is a true boss

Its rare now and days to find that passion and care they have for the show and the fanbase. Thanks for making one of my favorite shows ever.
The little girl Trey brings on stage for “On a Colorado Farm” who says her name is Harper. That’s actually Trey’s daughter Betty lol I suspected that’s who it really was for awhile. The way she said “Joe Biden took my job!!!!” was just to perfect lol She also was one of many children to have voiced Ike for awhile
When Les Claypool tells you to learn a particular song I’d think he had a clue. I was at Red Rocks during the two performances and I had a feeling it was going to happen on the Wednesday since that was the original date
After 2 and a half years I got my green card and moved to Colorado. This is now my home town, and I have never felt more proud. That America finale was AMAZING! I love this land of the free, home of the brave; the only country where South Park was possible.
I heard that this was the second of the two show nights. They played Closer to the Heart the first night as well, but without Rush, so Matt sure knew how to play the song
@@thammar1990 definitely hearing mostly Primus' drummer. They just finished a tribute to Rush tour after Neil Peart died so they know how to play all the Rush songs for sure.
Seeing Dean and Gene Ween on stage together despite all their issues the last couple years was so wholesome. And the fact they jammed with the creators of South Park, with Primus and Rush is totally unreal.
...they have been back touring together for a few years now but the fact they haven’t released any new material in that time makes me think things are still frosty there...they used to be so prolific!
The beauty and joy of two guys making a song as absurd and profane as "Uncle Fucker".. with it crescendoing in it being reimagined as a gorgeous Pink Floyd esque masterpiece at Red Rocks with Primus and Ween.. these beautiful melodies.. all while they show a video of every fart or dump ever taken on South Park at full volume. It's just.. Perfect. So inspirational.
I’m not sure people realize how awesome that is lol they swore to never play as rush again (which they didn’t) but we still get one last closer to the heart and that’s so badass
29:30 - This was my first South Park episode lol. I was 11 years at the time. I remember watching TV and being like "oh nice, cartoon". Soon, I realized this was no ordinary "cartoon"....
I clearly recall watching the premiere of South Park 25 years ago. It was so offensive I was forbidden from watching it by my mom and even at my school we were told it's for adults and is not a kids cartoon and anyone wearing South Park anything will be sent home to change. We still watched it and we still wore it. Later it was marathon sessions of the DVDs with my best friend... getting stoned and laughing our asses off. Even though Im gonna be 42 this year I still put on my favorite episodes on HBO max and remember all the great times and hilarious moments. Thank you Matt and Trey for this amazing creation of yours! You got a fan for life right here.
Me and my lil bro used to ninja our way to the living room and hide under a table to watch it. At one point our grandpa installed a motion tracker JUST to stop us from watching South Park.
Just recently said how important south park is after the Prince Harry and Meghan eoisode. As soon as someone/something steps out of line , we have a natural disaster, a terrorist attack anything man South Park is there to hold them or it accountable and they never fucking miss! In 30 minutes they point out this is what you done, this is what we all think of you, now sit down while you get your medicine and we rip you a new arsehole 🤣

Matt and Trey have accomplished so much in a quarter of a century and to celebrate with a concert, they should be very proud.

The money will come when if you’re real.
Yep
kind of is about money. They cant quit south park, the IP is too valuable. Difference between simpsons and south park and south park is owned by Trey Parker and Matt Stone. Fox owns simpsons. Owning south park is like owning simpsons. They are still some humble guys. Never let hollywood get over their heads.

This is one of the most American concerts I've ever seen and it's a goddamn beautiful thing
Can we talk about how South Park is the only sitcom that is run by two guys who are from a normal American town and genually care for one another and how undoubtedly grateful they are to their fans.
this deserves a million likes.
Imagine being rich and hanging out with your best friend every day you go to work.
@Joseph Wallace While I love sunny, I don’t find the creators to be nearly as humble as south parks creators.
These two really deserve everything good coming to them
@Joseph Wallace which is why I’m sure we like the same stuff
It's almost upsetting how unreasonably talented they are in so many areas.
They did have one with dvda.
