FYI, the reason the caseback is stainless is because if it was bronze, the mating surfaces would oxidize together and basically weld itself shut. It's not because of causing any skin reaction. It's the way it is in all bronze watches because this is marine bronze, which is made to survive saltwater by forming that patina. Massdrop is currently collaborating with glycine on a bronze case combat sub for around $400, if anyone's interested. It will be up for sale for a bit longer. I bought one.
I own several Glycine Combat Sub watches including the Bronze, I really like them all but I truly find my Bronze the best; they're all fine Swiss timepieces.
It’s really very nice. Personally, I’m not a fan of on Bronze watches, but they did a nice job with this. I have a few steel Combat Subs. Mine have the double Arabic tracks. They also have similar hands to the bronze with that Rolex-style hour hand.
And the best replacement strap for this bronze case would be? Great face on this watch. Not sure about the dull finish of bronze but it's different and that's a selling point I guess.
And nobody mentions the scratches? These are beautiful watches - but that looks like the spring bars scarred the case? I have hesitation on getting a bronze or brass case, now. I have one and dented in the first month as well.
oh jesus christ what i saw. It's became my holy grail from the first sight. A few questions: does the bronze smells? The bezel insert is not a ceramic?
I recently bought this watch and I love a lot about it, but I absolutely hate the dial.. The fade from grey to black is so distracting and annoying I gotta get rid of it.

The indices are too prominent now. Takes the highlight off the hands hence difficult in time reading, unlike the original. Hands are weak in the bronze.

I have this bronze black. Its so good that I am wearing it almost everyday over my GMT Rollie. It is that good.
Any idea where to get it?m

Love that bronze version. Very well done and the indices are just much nicer on the bronze.

Yes, I agree! I bought the green version and was completely disappointed by the dial. I thought there was water fog around the 12:00
I sold my combat sub. What a quality watch it was. These are great value watches.
Thanks for your insight 👍
Why did you sell your?
I really liked the original combat sub but this one is my new favourite. Agree about the handset but the other updates are make the bronze a winner.
I really like the Bronze version! Thanks for the video!
Thanks for watching 👍

Solid review....both watches are great....both have pluses and minuses....just have to weigh them out
Thanks 👍

I have a blue&blue and it steals a lot of wrist time from some better (IMO) looking watches. The most comfortable watch on my 7.8 in wrist, period!
Thanks for the feedback

Indices are now oversized, throws off the proportions imo prefer the smaller ones. Like the handset more on the older one.
He already has a very noticeable scratch at the 7 minute mark on the bezel.

The watch does not have any odor that I am aware of, and the bezel insert appears to be aluminum. Cheers
@@EverydayWatchGuy thanks dude. It's always more informative to see a comparison video, not an only review of a single piece. Great video, good luck!
I wish they would use a laminate bezel insert with bright lume as well.

Bronze case is cool, but I need the maxi indices with a stainless steel case!
That would be awesome 👌
Why do some bronze cases look gold and others look rose gold?
Yes, it is!!!
I am sold i will be looking to add one of these to my collection. Do they have a no date version?
Excellent choice! Sadly, I don't think any of the Combat Sub's have a no-date option though.
Which is the model # of the bronze in the review? Thanks.
Just preordered the Drop exclusive bronze sub for$389+ tax, will be available in July, check it out.
J B where did you find such a good price? It’s over 500€ here in Germany

A bit late to the party, but great review!
I prefer the original

The watch is too small for your wrist and your strap is too tight making it an unattractive purchase.
In your opinion =P
Invicta watch junk!
Why?
Clearly a brainless statement from a very sad individual.
