There’s nothing wrong with just having 1 child. I have just 1 , who is 21 years old and she’s fine, she’s was able to get things she wants and need, able to travel as well, by her being the only child, she is well grounded,loving person, who can interact with people from all races, and backgrounds.

I adore this family and I hope to meet them someday so that I can say how much I love them!
After being raised Christian and getting a bit of bad theology, I went agnostic for a period (as a teen)and just researched various religions. I eventually asked God to let me know Him for myself if He and the Bible were true so that I wouldn’t ever question that again. That prayer was answered later on that same year from a series of significant events; that prayer actually hasn’t stopped being answered yet and that was over 2 decades ago. However, as a person who now has an actual relationship with Christ, I absolutely ABHOR religion. Most of the people that try to force Christianity on others and/or are blatant hypocrites (though no one is perfect), tend to not be focused on relationship but duty. Sometimes it’s best to talk to the Source yourself cause unfortunately, due to human nature, some people mean well but miss the mark.

My daughter and son-in-law live here. I visit from Illinois (most southern part. They love Maricopa and said they will never live anywhere else. The weather is fine here. Clean cut town. Next door to Phoenix, Az.
When we adopted our daughter 16 yrs ago (we are white she is black) people would ask me is she your “real” daughter. It used to infuriate me . People would ask us that in front of our daughter .
They are Just rude, stupid and dumb.
I hope she is confident and thriving despite those comments and any other toxic crap thrown her way.

I agree, we adopted our daughter. People asked us a lot when our daughter was little {Are you going to have your own baby someday?}. It’s such a rude question to ask someone. I would say my daughter is own child, we love her with all our hearts. Never look at her thinking she’s our adopted daughter. She’s our daughter period.

Rihanna has the gift of forgiveness. It is compassion, love, and empathy. In today's society, it is really special and needed. Wisdom is key as to how to proceed with those that do take advantage.

I agree with Rihanna. Forgiveness is the thing to do, no matter what is done to u. Love and forgiveness is what were here to learn. Unconditional love and unconditional forgiveness. You dont necessarily let people walk all over you, but forgiveness is extremely important.

I appreciate you guys for posting this. I was also curious about the religious aspect after I saw the Thailand.. or Vietnam trip? Not sure. I can tell John went through some trauma from a Christian household. I’m hoping there has been healing. As a born-again Christian, it is painful to see people that did once “know” the Lord but fell away. I pray your faith and relationship is renewed. Praying for you all.

I think you can continue to be respectful and "nice" to people without necessarily letting them continue to take advantage of you. That is, you can smile and say "no" to lending them more money without going on about how irresponsible they are, and that they don't care about others so they don't repay money ... yada, yada. I try to refuse to engage in their behavior which is harmful to me without feeling I have to issue a judgment on why they do what they do, or what kind of person they are.
I used to give people so many chances... Which caused me many more disappointments from people... just because I didn't learn the first two times. So now since I know my love and loyalty I bring to the table... I only give people one chance to feel my love... and if they don't believe it ... Then they only expose themselves to me that they're not in tune with love. So now I only give people one chance.🤗

Oh absolutely we MUST support the older kids, the adolescents. Instead of basing our help for children on who is 'cuter' so to speak. They are still young, they of course need just as much care and love. We must give it if we can.

I learned that as far as forgiving people that hurt me, it depends on what they have done and if they are remorseful. An example is abuse. I am like Rheanna and being abused in many forms by those who i love, i would stay and forgive over and over. Eventually i learned to leave and keep my distance. But i am still forgiving them, just don't want hurt anymore.

Currently watching your videos and I had to pause at the 10 minutes mark to answer a question about forgiveness. I totally agree with Rhianna and my kids always say "Mom how can you forgive somewho who has hurt or did you wrong" and my response is always this... it's the Jesus in me and if I don't forgive those who have hurt me then my heavenly father won't forgive me etc. Now do I keep those individuals in my life 🤔 No, I'll forgive but at a certain point I move on 😊
My pastor has been preaching on forgiveness for the past few months and it’s been incredible and so real

Yes, I agree with your wife. Someone has done some bad things, or lied or broken a promise to us, I accept giving them a 3rd or even 4th chance, or many more times. For example, someone asked me to borrow money, I lent them money, they promised to pay it back, but they broke their promise, I accepted and continued to lend it to them. Surely someone does something, they have their own difficulties, they have their reasons for doing it. I will continue to be nice to them. Of course, you want you to live well, they also want them to live well, but the conscience they want and the ability they don't have. I agree with your wife. Continue to be nice again and again to whoever has done bad things to you.

I grew up in a certain religion, but then as an adult I became more aware of practices (idols) and what the Bible says about such. I now pray to God and no longer bow to man. Just being spiritual. Forgiving is healthy and biblical but it does not mean that the person gets reinstated to the position he/she held in your life . But Jon if its you who is receiving forgiveness, well, you would not lose your position. However, there might have to be some work over a period to restore the relationship

Being nice to someone is very different from allowing them to take advantage of you. Maintaining your own moral character is essential to your own self awareness. Never change to accommodate any one else’s ways, good or bad. After all, we lay down with our ownselves at night to sleep. We will answer to GOD both in this life and in the life which is to come. So we must remain true to who we are at all times in any given circumstances and with any kind of person.
Doing good can never be wrong. Allowing someone to hurt you repetitively is wrong. We train people how to treat us by the precedents, standards and boundaries we set while still being nice.

Thanks for asking. I try to have none and just enjoy the family unit that you have truly put together. It takes hard work, its not always easy...but I know that each one of you are totally in. I feel protective of all of you and will be the grandma bear when I see comments....but i know John beats me to most of them. Never look back only forward and continue to teach her that she is what she is suppose to be where she is suppose to be and all things happen for a reason and purpose its up to us to turn the down up and the negative into something positive.
