I think the chorus is misheard the real lyrics are: 검은 구름 사이로 빛을 뿜는 고래들 (Through dark clouds, whales radiating light) 그 안에 수많은 플랑크톤 (Numerous planktons in) 별에서 태어나 비추지 널 (Born from the star and shine on you)

SM totally let their artists make their music, write songs, produce them, choreograph the dances, and do a lot of things behind the scenes, it just depends on them whether they want their artists' works to be released or not, and whether they're given their credits or not.
