- Finally some dark sky!
We went down to Anza Borrego to enjoy the night sky. We went off-roading to Vista del Malpais, overlooking the badlands in Anza Borrego Desert California State Park.
We even got to see a double rainbow all the way! It was so intense!
I borrowed my brothers camera so that we could take two time-lapses at the same time.
Shooting info:
Both cameras are Canon T3i 600Ds. One was using an 8mm fisheye. The other was using a Tamron 17-50 2.8mm set at 17mm. The star time-lapses were 30 second exposures with the aperture wide open. The 8mm was at 6400 iso and the 17mm was at 3200 iso.

Would love to know how you did that?
Bob
Very beautiful! :) Question: Which 8mm lens did you use? (Name of the manufacturer)
Amazing video! I absolutely love your time lapses. About the music, have you ever heard of Explosions in the Sky? The song you used reminded me of them. They're definitely worth a listen.
i have a strange feeling he likes time lapse
Playing this with 'John Dreamer - Becoming A Legend' fit very nicely =)
Great video, where I live you can't get the same view of the stars ( :C ) so I have to restort to watching these
Very sweet! Did you film all in one night or successive evenings?
At first I thought those flying things that went "WHOOOSH" where UFO's but then I realized that they were just airplanes.
You're trying to shoot the night sky on auto focus? You should have your camera on manual focus set to infinity. Your exposure should vary ranging from 20-30 seconds depending on the lens. Don't forget to use a timer or remote. Why is your camera not taking a picture?
hi i have a canon t3i and i have it on manual , auto focus, iso 1800, f.4.5, but it doesnt snap a pic , its not focused . help.
