The more I think about Super Mario Wonder, the more I'm stoked about it, finally 2D Mario gets weird again, I wish they called it WonderLAND just to send home the message.
Honestly, I think this was the best direct in a long time. I get three games that I have never played despite liking their series (Pikmin 1 and 2, Mario RPG). Also, Super Mario Wonder looks incredible to me, kinda expected Tim to pop for it more
Dude A tier show for me, huge Mario fan, so getting the RPG remake (never played) looks amazing and I typically don’t play those style of games so I’m excited to jump into it and check it out. And man finally some new 2D Mario with Wonder! It looked fucking awesome! Both games day one purchase for me, dude Nintendo is going to be racking in fucking money on software this year! Insane insane numbers once the year is done!

For freaking real!! I say this as a die hard Pokemon fan, I've played all the mainline games and I can truly say that Scarlet and Violet is a Top 2 Pokemon Gen for me.
@nicknelson1975 I've literally never seen anyone elaborate on this. i kinda get it- some areas could use ruins, or a few more towns (i personally really wanted a town in the fall-themed area :{ ), but honestly it's not even that big a deal. if you're playing Pokemon for anything other than the Pokemon, you're setting yourself up for disappointment because Pokemon is about the POKEMON, everything else is secondary and should be treated as such.

They kept repeating "The End of the Switch" the whole time, despite there be 8 (Eight) new 1st party announcements in a single Direct. If that means the End for Switch does that mean the Playstation 5 is dead and buried with the Vita? There were more first party games in just this Direct than the entire life time of the PS5 both thus far and the foreseeable future which honestly incredibly sad.
The "end" of the Switch as in we already got a lot of the core franchises out of the way and we won't likely see new installments on switch due to their "1 entry per console" gameplan or just due to how long dev cycles are. Like going into this direct(ignoring leaks and rumors) most people had a hard time thinking of what they could possibly show since a lot of Nintendo studios have already put out their games. Sure we'll still get new pokemon, metroid, maybe fire emblem but it's safe to say the rest will move on to the next console.

what Greg says he cant put a finger on, it's because Mario is not 3D. Looks like they animated it in 3D then rendered his frames in a spritesheet. That's why he also looks kinda flat despite having shadows
it's not a perfect game, but it does some thing better than the others in the series as well. i know Rocksteady didn't make it, but sucks that it's never included in the collection.

And while I try and rate presentations for what’s in them and not what isn’t, I am bummed at no TP and WW. Lol I wasn’t expecting them so close to TotK, but still.
Dragon Quest Monsters is a ruin your computer get hype moment for me. I never thought we’d get another one. The original Dragon Warrior Monsters is to this day my favorite Pokémon game.
I never understand people who always have their nose to the leaks. Imagine, 5 minutes before the direct, quickly scrolling through Twitter frantically trying to find whatever leak you can. Also, if you have no interest in anything that could possibly be shown, then why bother showing up?
Even with E3 dead, Nintendo came here just to showed that they'll still "win" the showcase season in the Summer Games Fest era by providing the best showcase of the season. Less downtime than the other showcases, the most solid dates on new games, gameplay with all the games, and a true dream announcement in Super Mario RPG Remake. The rearranged Yoko Shimomura music there is incredible! Super Mario Bros Wonder is exciting for finally seeing how 2D Mario progresses post Mario Maker and the New Super Mario Bros games. Pikmin fans are eating good, getting to play the entire main series on the Switch is a wonderful thing and Pikmin 4 looks even better than the fantastic Pikmin 3. Star Ocean 2 looks gorgeous like the rest of the HD-2D games. And a proper sequel to WarioWare Smooth Moves makes this an easy 5/5 for me!
Something's up with y'all's "reactions" to things lately. Most of this vid was an utter lack of reaction, where you were either staring silently, or clearly doing something else and not paying much attention. Whether this was a good Direct or not is immaterial: I came here to see you REACT, not stare blankly or answer emails. This was completely missing any energy at all, and that's sad, because I come to Kinda Funny specifically for ENERGY. This felt very jaded from y'all, and I hope you can find something to steer away from that in the future.
Kinda Funny hates the Switch cause all they talk about for years is complianing about why there is no Switch 2. They will continue to complain until Nintendo does what they want. They dont play Switch, they want a reason to play something other than their PS5 by having Nintendo make a stronger machine.
Considering the Switch (should be) on the way out, this was alright. If Diddy and/or Funky arent in Wave 6, the possible DK erasure from Mario Kart is sad.

@@bagelgrenade8332 There's some subjectivity here, but a lot of people (including me) haven't considered at least the last 3 (some would say it's been even longer) Paper Mario games to be RPGs. Interviews around some of those games also make it clear that the devs aren't aiming for RPG gameplay.

I mean, I’ve put off buying a Nintendo switch, but they just pulled up with an empty truck and told people give us your money and most of what I’ve seen here was I could spend money on that. Yeah I could spend money on that too. It’s crazy that they can take a system that doesn’t push the limits of graphical Fidelity and they’re going to charge full price for these games even the remakes.
They could've trimmed the Just Dance and Scarlet/Violet sh*t, but as far as Nintendo Directs go, this is one of the best ones ever. Especially if you're a Mario fan.
