Chingon! Robert Rodriguez' brilliant band with their album 'MEXICAN SPAGHETTI WESTERN'! - Видеоклипы
brilliant!
Nice bajo sexto solo
Haha, _bajo sexto_ is the name of a musical instrument (that's because he sings play the _bajo sexto_ ). In this case, _bajo_ means bass, so a more accurate translation would be: Sixth Bass.
It's a word play. Six below means Johnny is dead and buried "SIX feet BELOW the ground (the standard measure for a grave)". They know bajo has a double meaning in Spanish, thus they play with that translation, playing the "bajo" for a guy that is now "bajo tierra".
Something similar was done by Mexican comedian-turned-actor Eugenio Derbez in one of his comedy books: The English word Net means Red in Spanish, which coincidentally is an English word that means Rojo (male) or Roja (female). Thus, he writes some Spanglish text about a Red Net, or Red Roja, which works both as a description of the object and a translation of the word from one language to the other. A desmadre ensues.
After I wrote this I realized the name was part of the original title, but I didn't know about the wordplay.
Si hicieran vocers con su estilo de temas famosos de anime o de cantantes se haria super populares.
que es "vocers"?
This is a glamorous band! But the english songs, which lack the Mexican flavour - are a bit dull..
