Also you probably heard it everywhere lol it’s literally the most iconic song there is, just like adult ceremony and gee, nobody etc. it’s songs that everyone knows somehow.
This group is legendary because SM picked all the main vocals from the trainees back then and TVXQ happened. SM called this group their Dream Team and indeed, they are the dream team; 5 main vocals, all of them can dance and perform and their charisma on stage is chef's kiss. They were so big during their prime, everyone knew them.
I don't mean to offend you and your desciption of how this band was created is accurate, as far as know. However, due to issues, three of the original group members left. From that point on, the majority of people have looked at TVXQ (DBSK) as a duo (Yunho and Max Changmin). Other members come and go as needed, especially in rheir live performances,
This song was huuuuge back then! Their live performances was so so good! Nothing nowadays can honestly compare. OT5 TVXQ was THE it boy group. All 5 members were main vocal quality. You’ve prob heard it before bc a bajillion groups have covered this song lol. But I’m glad you enjoyed it. I always hold my breath when you react to older kpop songs bc 2nd/3rd gen was the prime of my love for kpop, and I know you “don’t like old kpop songs”. But I’m pleasantly surprised here
@@dvdgalutube in my honest opinion having been a fan of them since 07, having watched so many of their ballad performances, esp Love in the Ice, he can actually sing. EDT: I’m not the type of fan who will defend or be overtop about where it’s not valid to be. There are other idols who are in the vocal line in their own respective groups, that I do feel like is debatable whether they can sing or not. But when it comes to OT5 dbsk, I truly think they are all very solid vocalists
Lee Soo Man and SM initially planned to debut Yunho, Jaejoong, Yoochun, Junsu and Changmin as solo singer since each five of them had an excellent performing skills. They're a capable singer, dancer and rapper. But well the company finally decided to put them together as a team and that's how KPOP's ultimate ace group was born. The best live-singing and acapella KPOP group ever. It's too bad that their time as a 5-members group was so short.
They were just THAT good that it took me a DECADE to start stanning another group. I loved them dearly and they made me so happy but at the same time I cried a lot in that time. I will never forgive SM for breaking the group which could be the GOAT.
I found TVXQ when it was just Changmin and Yunho. This is my first time hearing TVXQ with all the 5 original members. If they were a new group releasing this song today it would be an instant hit. I guess what I’m trying to say is it’s timeless. This is going on my playlist.
They have a lot of good songs from when they were still 5! Many of the title tracks are RnB style. Would definitely recommend their debut song Hug especially now that it's been remastered.
Mirotic is truly one of the most covered KPOP songs ever and pretty much everyone miraculously knows its fanchant somehow. DBSK were unbeatable back then and became idols as well as an inspiration and motivation to a lot of younger idols themselves. Their discography has so much to offer and although their upbeat songs are amazing, their ballads are what truly got me into their music, especially their live performances of those. The amount of harmonizations, each member's individual vocals and the adlibs are chef's kiss.
Mirotic is the it song of KPOP everyone from all gens of kpop whether fan or not has somehow heard. It has been covered/performed by almost every boy group & some girl groups after TVXQ. But no one has ever come closed to TVXQ. Well no other kpop group ever consisted of every member as main vocalists and main dancers. I'm not a Cassiopeia but this is sth every Kpop fan should acknowledge.
If you’re 2ng gen kpop fan then you know this song alot. Everybody covered this song! Shinee, snsd, suju, exo even other groups! And you hear it everywhere! 😅
Finally, I heard to the member of the band, all the members whose voices are legendary, and all their songs are legendary. Please redo all their songs, don't stop here.
This song is kind of a blueprint for a lot of things SM did in the future. (In terms of the *lyrics* [ie; the storyline...basically a lot of times SM music is connected in terms of concepts] and also the *music.* The melody you hear at 04:06 and 04:20 was reused (but sped up, and altered) in Red Velvet Irene and Seulgi's song Monster, at 01:08 of that song. (Both Mirotic and RV's Monster have Yoo Young Jin as one of the producers, who's one of the main producers in the company.)
I was surprised , I didn't know much about tvxq and when I went to SM town in Tokyo Dome the audience went mental when tvxq came out! Like the loudest reaction. 👀 With this song haha
They were THE biggest group for the longest time. You talk kings of kpop? These were the OG kings. They broke records and were as popular in Japan as they were in Korea. Everyone knew them. Everyone still knows them. It’s sad for newer kpop fans to not know this group. This song was so iconic it got flagged as inappropriate 🤣. They had the biggest fan base in the world for years. God I love these boys. They were done so dirty by their company.
Changmin and Yunho have been pushing hard in Japan since they got out of the military and are doing well there, but I don’t know why they haven’t had a Korean comeback together is ages. Their solo stuff has done well, so wth SM. SM definitely did the rest of the guys dirty, and I’ll never not be bitter about it. 😭
@@ReturnToSenderz Same, seeing how dirty SM does their artists, I refuse to support any of their groups despite me thinking they're very talented. I still feel so bad for TVXQ and other idols who were and are still being banned from working in Korea.
TVXQ is one of the biggest 2nd generation boy group in kpop, they have been in this industry for almost 20 years, and they are still big and famous, even though they went through a BIG split they as the duo are amazing I highly recommend you their work

Although I’m a multi-group stan, TVXQ will always be my number one and standard for the best group. I remember this song was released and it is the best comeback song! It is really easy to follow as well as the fanchant. Even now, when this song is played on kpop events, fans and non-fans know how the chant to this one.
Hello, I'm Korean. Thank you so much for your reactions. All TVXQs have great vocals. It was the first a cappella group to debut. You'll know better if you watch the live performance. I recommend Japanese songs, Bolero and Love in the ice. The chorus is on a different. Please show us your reactions to TVXQ from time to time. I'm going to subscribe.❤️👍
Everybody and their aunt covered Mirotic, so you've probably heard one of the covers (rookie SHINee for instance). Mirotic is one of the most iconic kpop songs.
This TVXQ back in 2008 where there still five members until 3 of them exit the group after the lawsuit on their contracts in 2010. You should react on their comeback on 2011 "Why (Keep Your Head Down)" or "Catch Me" where it starts the the group as a duo until now.
The song Mirotic is timeless. This proves that TVXQ was on a whole different level. I have not seen any kpop group that matched their overall perfection. Even now, BTS can't do sexy mature shii like this. Bigbang can't dance ultimate hardcore shii. HOT with not so good visual members. TVXQ can rap, dance, and every member can sing powerfully! SM tried to surpass BTS by creating a copy of TVXQ with top tier individuals merged as a team in Super M. Unfortunately, it still failed. I wonder, when will we see another kind of this class in kpop.
Ive been a fan of TVXQ for 6 years now, and yeah day by day i still discovering their new good songs. Recently i discovered I Never Let Go, gosh thats a really good song.
You are a kpop fans for years , obviously you will hear SM older songs , SM always debut legendary groups who have legendary songs , these songs will carry on for years . Mirotic, Sorry sorry , Gee, Ring Ding Dong , Growl are some song that will never die.
Actually it's also possible that you heard the song "Under my Skin" by the German singer Sarah Conner released 01 August 2008. It's funny because I'm German & her song was big here. You can imagine my surprised face when I heard this version for the first time 😂. It's also possible that you heard this one part in a BTS award show compilation. A girl groups covered it & the camera filmed BTS member reaction. So that's also a possibility. xD
Once we like one SM group its inevitable that we like all the SM groups discography even if one is not a fan of all. They all have this powerful vocal color
When this song was released i didn't know much about kpop but at that time i heard it from Sarah Connor then later that year i got into kpop and heard TVXQ version and found out that both SM and Sarah Connor bought the song from the producer but each artist was under agreement to perform the song in certain areas , TVXQ in Asia and Sarah Connor in Europe and US. That's one of the reasons why this song is in everyone's minds whether they know it or not lol
Funny for me the newer groups I find repetative and like a cut and paste exercise...but the older groups I find unique and solid performers.....even when they were still new debuts. Its taste for sure.....
You should check its live version. The live vocal and high notes that literally happened on stage while dancing is such a mood to enjoy and that kinda thing - we can't find it nowadays!
You probably saw a video of a cover of this song. It is one of the most iconic kpop songs. For example, maybe you saw the cover by Hyunjin, Moon Bin, Tae Yang, Ju Yeon, Hyun Jin, and WOODZ.
TVXQ were 5members at that time and This song was really popular but after this album, three member (yoochun유천, junsu준수, jaejoong재중) left, so now there are only two members.
I had to laugh at this reaction, because I knew how it felt. I figure countless acts have covered this song at some point; the first versions I heard were from SM Rookies and Monsta X (when Wonho was still with them), and thought it was an amazing song. Watching TVXQ afterwards absolutely blew me away. Wonderful vocalists and excellent performers, quite possibly the all-time greatest SM male group.
My first Kpop BG, what a wonderful time when these talented men dominated in talent, charisma, vocals, dance and stage presence. No doubt they would be the kings of Kpop today if they were still together
Great reaction! No wonder you have heard this song before. Because it is not "one of the most", it is THE most iconic song in kpop gen 2. It is also the most covered song in kpop. There is a reason that this group is called "Gods of the East"
Thanks for the reaction. It's a great song, but it's a little frustrating that it's the only one that gets noticed. For example, Rising Sun, with two songs in one like aespa Next Level or Wrong Number. Also Keep Your Head Down - the duo's first comeback. Or U-know - Thank U. And much more
TVXQ’s vocals and live performances are untouchable, it’s compulsory to see this live. This song was huge back then and was the album of the year. Each and every member can be a main/lead vocal in any other group. Seriously, they are that good.
There is actually an English version of this song sung by a Western artist named Sarah Connor (the song title is Under My Skin) because the people who produced the song sold it to TVXQ and the western artist. So you may have not only heard it before in K-Pop but maybe on any western/european radio.
Ugh I love TVXQ this song is iconic they are in my top favorite groups lol along with exo and shinee all the sm boy groups anyways I first knew TVXQ as a duo check out more them please!
A lot of people don't remember this but SM used to have another RUclips account. This songs were originally there, as well as other older SM artists, almost till 2011 probably is when they fully abandoned the other YT channel. I remember f(x) Chu~ being on both the older and newer account, and that happened with lots of other ones, probably right before EXO debuted. So most older songs are re-uploads meaning they lost a giagantic bunch of views from the past. At this point of time when this song came out, Cassiopeia (TVXQ!'s fandom) was the biggest one on the world (with and actual world record i believe), they were the biggest act in all Asia, and this song was EVERYWHERE and still is covered a lot in different programs and by newer idols. Definitely check more of their stuff when they were 5, their stuff as 2 (the later years), and Junsu's (one of the members that left) solo stuff. Worth your time i promise. And also, the girl in this video is a pre-debut version of Victoria, f(x)'s leader.
Btw, i believe it's the Tokyo Dome performance of this song, the Japanese version but with a live band... I'm not Cassiopeia but I'm telling you man, EVEN TO THIS DAY still one of the best performances of a kpop band live
An ... yes, as BlackJack VIP said, you chose the most iconic song in KPop to react to. Wonderful! You probably know it because every kpop group (girl and boy) has covered it. They know both the song as well as the choreography. It's a staple. I think, at this point, it may be harder to escape it! Some interesting trivia: When this song came out, the lyric "under my skin" was controversial. When they did live performances of this song they were forced to sing "under my sky" instead. Kinda weird. And ... it's my understanding that the choreography for this was done by Kenny Wormald of "Center Stage: Turn It Up." Kenny also played "Ren" in the 2011 version of "Footloose." Fun stuff!
I like that you specified boy and girl groups have covered it. The song, the choreography, and the fan chants too 😅 Another trivia is that Junsu came up with the hand on the chin move
Lee Soo-man introduced TVXQ as an a cappella group to show that idols are good at singing. In early 2000, people did not treat idols as singers, saying they were lip-sync singers. Lee Soo-man is the group I chose from SM trainee
Thank you so much for this reaction. I love TVXQ, they are one of my favorites group from 2nd generation. I hope you can react to more songs from them. Some of my favorites songs that i hope you can react to: O (정반합) MV. It has such a great coreography. Purple Line MV. It has one of the most meaningless but iconic line on the kpop industry jskks. That song is just iconic. Wrong Number MV. My favorite song, so intense. Keep Your Head Down MV. The coreo is lit. Before U Go MV Dance ver. Such a beautiful song and the freaking vocals in this song are just inmaculate. Catch Me MV. Such an iconic coreography. Something MV. A masterpiece, so classy. Spellbound MV. The coreo with the backup dancers is so good. The Chance of Love MV. I love this song. And last a solo song by U Know U Know - Thank U MV. The song is so good and the mv is like a movie.
This song is a top classic ! Every KPOP fan from all generation know this song or hear this song, it’s iconic. Most of KPOP idols covered this song. TVXQ! are the idols of idols. Legends within legends. They are so talented. Fans nowadays say BTS pave the way for KPOP, yes sure, in the USA but in ASIA and particularly in JAPAN, SM ENT. & TVXQ! Paved the way for all generations to come. Maybe you heard it because Sarah Connor sing this song in English.
What a good surprise to see a video reaction to TVXQ ! 😳 I take advantage of this to advise you to react to Changmin - Devil. You already reacted to his stage performance «Fever» and he is one of the most talented in the group and in the industry (we stan a vocal king)
they are acapella gods, I highly recommend that you check some of their acapella performances; I've put a star on my favorites: - Hahaha Song ★ - Hug ★ - Why Did I Fall In Love With You - Heart, Mind and Soul - Always There
Hello Aaron! Thanks for your reaction. I'm a Cassiopeia, TVXQ! fan. After the split TVXQ! continued as a duo since 2011,MAX CHANGMIN and U-KNOW YUNHO. And the other 3 continued as JYJ, stands for JAEJOONG YUCHUN JUNSU. please check out their recent work too if u feel like it. TVXQ! is still big especially in Japan until now. You probably saw a video of a cover of this song. It is one of the most iconic kpop songs. For example, maybe you saw the cover by Hyunjin, Moon Bin, Tae Yang, Ju Yeon, Hyun Jin, and WOODZ.
OMG thank you for reacting to this timeless song… Sometimes it randomly get stuck in my mind and i always have a little Mirotic era 😂
TVXQ were 5members at that time and This song was really popular but after this album, three member (yoochun유천, junsu준수, jaejoong재중) left, so now there are only two members.
You must have heard it in a younger group cover the song is very iconic
Gosh this song brings so much memories from when I first entered kpop world years ago! Lol i feel so old
I had to laugh at this reaction, because I knew how it felt.
TVXQ - CATCH ME !!
My first Kpop BG, what a wonderful time when these talented men dominated in talent, charisma, vocals, dance and stage presence. No doubt they would be the kings of Kpop today if they were still together
more TVXQ, Rising Sun, Wrong Number, Bolero, Begin, Tonight. Tri-angle - with BOA and Traxx. Thank U - Yunho
LIVE VERSION PLEASE!!! This is my Fav and one-of-a-kind group we can never have again TT_TT
And much more
All member main vocal.
Tvxq are awesome. Checkout before u go, spellbound
You remember this song differently maybe because you heard the UNDER MY SKIN from sarah conor
TVXQ!’s song is better when they sing it live. I promise you. Both OT5 and OT2 absolutely
I really recommend you to check out their live video. Back then there is no back track that you can really hear they sing. It is really impressed
Thank you for the reaction. U made right choice.
The song, the choreography, and the fan chants too 😅
Another trivia is that Junsu came up with the hand on the chin move
I think it has been 14-15 years since the song came out.
OMG TVXQ my first kpop grp 😍
Lee Soo-man introduced TVXQ as an a cappella group to show that idols are good at singing. In early 2000, people did not treat idols as singers, saying they were lip-sync singers.
Lee Soo-man is the group I chose from SM trainee
Thank you so much for this reaction.
I love TVXQ, they are one of my favorites group from 2nd generation. I hope you can react to more songs from them.

K-pop isn't very famous in my country , but after becoming a kpop fan in 2017 l was hearing old kpop and soon became fan of them 🎉 im more into 2nd gen kpop , then 3rd and 4th gen isn't really my type (and lm 18 lol)
When l heard Mirotic for first time l was like " oh , that chorus sounds very familiar" . Later my cousin who is not a kpop fan also said "yeah l heard this song before "
