The acoustic version of "Puzzle" is beautiful. Saiki is fantastic but a big shout out to Kanami for her ethereal, haunting backing vocals. She really should have have her own acoustic song cos her voice suits it perfectly :)

He was happy that he got to see his "grandaughter" earlier & was super pleased with The Loner cover that was his present from her. He has a couple of new guitars turning up early next week, so has something positive to look forward to as well & back to doing reactions helps to put him in a positive mind set. We'll have to arrange to come and see you in a few weeks.

The guitarist, Kanami has perfect pitch and they call her the human "tuning fork", when they need her. As far as I know, she sang in her own songs before BM, and with her knowledge of music, she could easily train and become a second backup or lead singer. Since she is so modest, I assume she doesn't want to compete and take someone else's place? But I wish she would because it would add another dimension to BM.

The acoustic shows of Band-Maid are rare, but they are amazing. They did an entire acoustic "Christmas present" for their Masters and Princesses live stream in December of 2021. They reworked 14 of their songs and they did pieces which featured different combinations of group members. In March of 2024, they had did an acoustic show at Line Cube Shibuya, which I was fortunate enough to attend. Nothing short of AMAZING! And they just released the CD of this March show on Christmas for their Omeisyusama members (their fan club members). The Maids also announced there would be 2 acoustic shows coming in 2025, probably in Japan. Will need to save up some money and vacation time to make at least one of them.🤣 You should check out the electric versions of "Sayonakidori" and "Catharsis" and then the acoustic versions. Kanamincho started as a singer/songwriter, but she doesn't like her voice. She sometimes sings harmonies, especially in acoustic versions. BTW, that is the first time I have seen Mincho use a capo (1st Fret). She uses a great variety of tunings from Drop-D to straight to "who can keep track?" 🙂
Hi there and greetings from the Netherlands. If you enjoy good music, I highly recommend checking out Nightwish. They are a band from Finland and they’re top notch in the 'symphonic metal' genre. Their songwriting is absolutely amazing, blending symphonic elements with powerful metal. The vocals of theri singer, Floor Jansen from the Netherlands, are incredible too, with her ability to move seamlessly between soaring high notes and more grounded, emotional singing. Nightwish also does a great job with variety in their music, with songs ranging from epic, orchestral pieces to more intense, heavy tracks. You only get the full impact of Saiki's voice when she slows it down. Kanami has a beautiful voice as well but she's too shy to put on display.
