That entry about photoshoots infuriated me as someone who has actually been to fashion school. Even most high-end fashion brands who are putting out AI content are still ALSO doing regular photoshoots too. It’s so clear they’re just trying to avoid paying models, photographers and photo editors.
My mother is a photographer, and the part about AI being superior ‘because it’s better than a camera’ is genuinely making me feral tbh. Even if it was true (and the images in the article do a fantastic job of demonstrating that it isn’t lmfao), the camera is the LEAST important aspect of what my mum does; what matters is her knowledge of composition, lighting and colour theory, and visual storytelling, all of which she has built up over a period of literal decades and is heavily informed by her own personal aesthetic preferences and creative vision. Sure, she might be able to use some fancier tools and techniques with her SLR than she can with her phone camera, but to say that the camera is doing all the work is like crediting a drawing to the pencil.
Came to this video to try and figure out if the company was a scam after liking a pair of boots on their Instagram but being worried about all the AI, so not all publicity is good publicity if that’s the image projected to new customers
@freyabassoon19 I don't think they're a scam in that they'll take your money and you'll get nothing. It's just up to the individual if they're fine getting a possible low quality item.
i barely see their posts on my feed anymore so i didn’t even realize they were doing this. i unfollowed them. thanks for bringing awareness to this issue!
