WHEN JIM WAS SOBER HE WAS SUCH A FINE MAN LOYAL TO A FAULT TO THOSE HE CARED FOR. AS A DRUNK AT TIMES HE WAS STILL SO MUCH MORE A REAL HUMAN THEN WHAT WE HAVE TODAY. JIM MORRISON WAS A GREAT HUMAN BEING, SO LOVE HIM OR HATE HIM HE DESERVES ATTENTION AND RESPECT. 1943-1971........🦎🏹
This is very interesting listening to Jim in his own words. She actually asked some pretty in depth and great questions. Did he go over board with his ego....he kinda admitted to that to a point...but what I like which I have never heard before was his statement about his image. That he sort of went along with it ...then in one glorious evening ended it. That was the Miami incident. Never heard it told this way and from his point of view. He was putting a hole in the balloon of media hype and celebrity. He might have been drunk at Miami ...but he had a mission which he accomplished. If you saw him at the Isle of Wight after that..he was subdued.....sober...but he still sang well. He didn't put on any sort of show. I think he just got sick of the whole rock star thing and was planning on moving on. There was no playbook for him back then. He was finding his way I believe. Too bad Pamela and her heroin addiction brought him down. He had some issues ..but I think he would have worked them out. I think his death is directly related to her heroin addiction. Sad. He was a talent. Intelligent. He gave us lots to think about though. So thanks for that.
James Bond 4/29/18 SOUNDS LIKE YOU LOVED HIM AS MUCH AS I DID. MAYBE I SHOULD SAY WE RESPECTEND HIM AND HIS WAYS...I TRULY MISS HIM.. BUT YOU REALLY CAN'T BLAME PAM. JIM WAS HIS OWN PERSON, HE HAD A BRAIN AND A CHOICE.. BAD DECISION JIM....
Linda Butcher Yes very true Jim was his own man. Even his father saw that in the end with the Greek epitath he found for him. Pam must have been something very special for Jim and they must have had a bond. I think she grew up as a military brat as well if I am not mistaken so maybe an emotional connection there. You just hear her a little bit in some of the interviews of her speaking. It would be interesting to find out more about her. Also Jim talks about his sister and brother ...but says there is nothing there about his family. I think after reading many psychology books especially Arthur Janov ....that everything was there...especially with his dad. I read that he would be very strict with his kids and humiliate them verbally if they did something wrong. I think you can hear that in Jim's voice sometimes. Especially when you see and hear him say "Petition The Lord...You cannot Petition the Lord". I think if you substitute in his dad for that ...probably says alot ...just my opinion. There is a video on youtube playing Indian Summer followed by Jim's poem Far Arden with a backing track of Erik Satie..that just gets me. To me that is the true Jim Morrison. Sensitive ..kind. Yes..I liked and respect him alot the more I learn about him. I was 11 when he died ..and I still remember listening to Riders on THe Storm back then ..his voice ..haunting. Something still there to discover. I think he was on to something. Glad you like and respect him too...I think people who like the Doors and Jim Morrison especially tend to be a little more thoughtful!!!. It would be really cool to meet Robby Krieger or John Densmore before they pass on. Jam with them!!!!!
I think Jim Morrison is the best poet ever....people got jealous of his fame specialy so called friends...glad he left us his music n poetry...Jim Morrison will be remembered forever..when they conquere space they'll be playing moonlight drive..
Jim talked about the magazine articles that probably made him sick and laugh at the same time. Media today is so fake, made up, distorted, sensational. So Jim added sensation. (Let's have some fun) "Is everybody here"? "The show is about to begin". "Wake up"! Yeah. Americans are so bored, they need sensation fixes. He hated the war. Make love!

Jim was brilliant.
This interview took place, I believe in late Fall 1970, post Miami court case, and prior to his going to Paris in March 1971.
+Mission Media Co. GOOD. I was hoping it was a real recording.

Well, all charges have been dismissed Jim, rest easy.
Break on through, and we're tired of hanging around, this is the end, and even Jesus save us in the lyrics were fore warnings of Jim's destiny.
