I've been to Destin many times as a kid with my parents. Those childhood beach trips with the family are something we treasure forever. My husband and I take my daughter to Orange Beach (here in Alabama where we are from. It is about 3 hours from our home though) every summer, sometimes a few times a summer. We truly love those trips. I'm a beach-loving person. There is nothing more relaxing or peaceful in the world than laying on that beach with your eyes closed, feeling the breeze, and hearing those waves and seagulls. I could die happy in that moment. lol

Emily when my two children were younger we made it to the Florida Gulf Coast every summer. I miss it so much. Now they are 25 and 18 and do their own thing. Hopefully one day we will be back with grandchildren. Cherish the times.
My husband and I were just there and went to all the places in this video. We’re going back next spring and I can’t wait!

Yeyyy Emily on vacation finally! 😍 Love seeing the girls.
I’m about to let a tear go! My youngest is graduating this Friday from Cal Arts. Mr. Music director major at 21 years old. I can’t hardly believe it! My daughter the older one 25, two years ago graduated from Brown University Cultural and Media Arts. I don’t know where these kids got the artsy side from? all elderly in my family practice the old ‘boring’ professions according to them. My Dad was a dentist. Lol!
Ahh the memories when they were small sometimes is painful although I’m so proud and happy mom they are doing well. We are planning to go soon to some beautiful beach by Ft. Lauderdale/Florida. Can’t wait! But will my chickadees 🐥 always.
Silvia Khanmohamed Mine are boy16 girl 18, both are preparing for college. They are getting ready to take on the world. The girl graduated with honors and my boy is top of his class. Hope I’ve taught them well. I have 2 degrees and been a physical therapist for over 20 yrs. Fingers crossed been good example.... you obviously were... Congrats and time for grand babies after a few yrs‼️

Thanks for sharing wish I was there. The white sand on the beach reminds me of the private island we visited on our cruise it was white and so fine they had imported it from France. Bub would be the perfect person to ask along on a trip master chef extraordinaire as you said catches it filets it and cooks it.

My ex-husband went on a chartered fishing boat to fish for tuna around 2004 with my Dad and my father in law -Oregon Inlet, NC. (my son was about 3 yrs old at that time). My Dad passed away in 2012 to leukemia. I am now remarried, he wasn’t able to do those types of things with my dad. Although they did get to spend a lot of time together before he became ill. So many great memories. Family time is so very important and a blessing. We never know what the future holds, we have to keeps the ones we love so close to us.
Going on trips like this are so special.

You will LOVE it. There is nothing in the U.S. like those gulf coast beaches. The sand is so soft and white. I go several times a summer every summer.

If you are interested in the hot nightlife visit South Beach is pretty wild out there Lol! Mango a fun place don’t know if it still exists? Some great restaurants, nightclubs. I’m Cuban have family in Miami but haven’t visited in almost 8 years. Going to the beaches in Ft. Lauderdale soon argh can’t wait! Oh! Puerto Rico beaches are gorgeous also! They remind me of our family vacations with grandpa’ & grandma’ at Varadero Beach gorgeous clean water and sand just like in Puerto Rico. Then we lost it all and thank the greatest U.S. for welcoming us. Have fun!

My best friend live in Panama City beach about 30 minutes from Destin and we would always drive to Destins beach...not as crowded and so clear...so beautiful. Your babies are just precious so stinking cute! Glad you had a wonderful time;)
Spent the past week in Disney with my nieces (2.5 and 8 months) - definitely not as relaxing as your week but equally fun! That balcony looks AMAZING! As does all the seafood Tyler made!
