Well she deserves it, she is so talented, tiny, cute, inspiring and so lovely. I can't get her voice out of my head since Beyond Two Souls came out, that is a masterpiece written by David Cage, and I am so glad she plays Jodie, can't stop watching her interviews and everything!!
Ellen's right in that she doesn't win that award w/o the ensemble cast around her. Juno was one of the most perfectly cast films I have ever seen. I didn't think that Jennifer Garner had that kind of range. Jason Bateman walked that dangerous fine line between innocent flirt & perv very well. Michael Cera might as well be Bleeker. JK Simmons and Allison Janney (as Juno's parents) are A-1 character actors and Olivia Thirlby as Juno's best friend is supberb as well. All around great cast.
She might be the best actress in Hollywood. Certainly the bravest, and possibly the most versatile. It makes me sick that if Steve Zaillian had actially wrote a decent script and Ellen Page would have played Lisbeth Salander, then the American remake of TGWTDT would have actually been good.
