Very interesting simple design. We min till. Shallow pass with vaderstad carrier than drill with vaderstad drill. I am looking to simplify everything and direct drilling seems the way to go. Only thing I'm worried about it slugs. With it being strip tilled do the slugs follow the drill line?
    How do you control slugs?

Very, very interesting. I have seen the drills at the shows I have attended/exhibited and been curious. The output looks excellent but I wonder how it would work on either South Downs chalk brash, or heavy clay Sussex Weald??

From where i see it, Sumo, Mzuri and Claydon are the top 3 strip-till machines in Europe.
If Mzuri could combine the option of a front tine with a working depth down to 30 cm (like Sumo), and somehow leave more residue on the ground (like Claydon), you would have the most complete strip-till concept on the market.

+ scrappers for the packer wheels, to prevent build up of dirt/clay, on the contact surface. :)

How do you deal with slugs, leaving so much straw?
