  • K1 Speed National Championship race Adult Division from K1 Circuit in Winchester, CA.
    Started the race P9 and crossed the line in P6 but due to others having to drop out due to mechanical issues and being given their spots back we are officially credited with an 8th place finish. Overall this had to be my most difficult racing experience to date due to the karts running on indoor tires for this event. The track was also very greasy and it was difficult to get a solid feel for the kart lap after lap due to these conditions. However we managed to improve through all the sessions to come home P8 officially. However this was an amazing facility and event to have the chance to race at. Thanks to K1 Speed and K1 Circuit for putting this event on at such a high level.
    Thanks to Mike The Mechanic in Winter Garden, FL for providing the Hotel stay for this trip.

    Participating in my first local GP next month, it’s pretty cool to see some footage from this seasons final on the national level. Thanks for posting!
    Just curious, are drivers left to cover travel expenses to participate, and/or are there any podium rewards that could compensate?

      You are responsible for all travel for state and national championship races. There is also entry costs for both. There are only podium awards if you make it to world championships. There the top 3 take home 25k 15k and 7.5k this past season. You must finish top 3 in the USA national race to progress to that

      They didnt seem to be officiating the races very well. Lots of “rules” not being enforced. Sorry to hear that

    Did the kart slow down at all when the State of Charge drops? The circuit looks good.

      Speed wise they performed well through the sessions with no noticed drop off. The track is great i just wish they ran a softer tire. They are using indoor tires that do not have lots of grip for the speeds and loads you can pull on this track

      @@BrennanSpencerRacingI’ve been pretty lucky that I never had a kart die on me out of my two visits to this track. I think there’s no grip because there’s literally no rubber on the track and the tyre compound is too hard, they just want to have a tyre that lasts long so they don’t have to replace them as often which kinda sucks for us since we can’t really push these karts. I was there next to you coming into turn 4 I pointed you through even though it doesn’t show on the video. You definitely had better pace than me though. Good racing brother 👍🏼

    how much do these league races cost?

    • @BrennanSpencerRacing
      @BrennanSpencerRacing  Месяц назад

      This was the national/world championship race. The league that feeds into this at your local K1 speed costs about $70 per race once a month

    Must have been a great experience. Are these quicker than the indoor cart? Seem to be

      Much faster than indoor. Somebody had a tracker on them said about 62 mph top speed here

    #32 and #41 passed you cause you scrubbed off too much speed on the apron rumple strips... you don't know how to power brake... pretty sad driving skills.

      Ok buddy. These are full pro electric karts with indoor tires there was no grip to be had anywhere. Didnt see you out there racing for the nationals

      @@BrennanSpencerRacing On your approach to almost every corner, you rarely selected the best lines... hampering your exit speed... geometry is your friend... the shortest distance between two points is a straight line... and another thing... put some porcelin wax on the smooth surfaces of our cart and on your helmet... and make sure all your clothing is tight fitting... maximizing your aerodynamics.

      These are provided karts that we were not allowed to touch or modify in any way. This race is from the leagues at K1 speeds all over the country. I was good enough to win my location and finish 2nd in the state allowing me to advance to this national championship race and finishing 8th in the country as well as win multiple other races in various rental leagues along the way on top of my many wins and championships i acquired racing quarter midgets when i was younger. I appreciate your input however you were not driving those karts and have no idea how they were prepared or about the level of grip/confidence in the equipment. Have a nice day :)
